Plastic Surgery Beginner

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am fairly new to this forum and mostly spent time lurking through posts to find some answers on plastic surgery -- specifically, lower blepharoplasty aka eye bags. I also want to get laser mole removal and possibly facial treatment to even out my skintone or minimize pores/scars. This will be my first trip traveling to another country outside of my cultural background and I will be in Korea for approximately two weeks. I'm hoping to get some advice/recommendations from you guys on the best course of action here.

Will I be able to get my mole removal and facial treatment done without harming my preparation for surgery? In what order would you recommend me doing these treatments? Should I add some time in between these services? What clinics would you recommend?

Also, if anyone has had experiences with lower blepharoplasty, could you please share your results along with cost and how long it lasts? Thank you in advance!

@zippuli

Welcome to Beauty Hacker.

Two weeks should be enough time to do to both the skin treatments and lower blepharoplasty. In terms of order of operations it might be advantageous to go to a clinic that has both plastic surgery and a dermatology department. Deciding which do do first may be best to ask the respective clinics's doctor or consultant, but people have done both skin treatment and facial surgery in the past in one trip.

I will chime in real quick to try and help.   I recently had Lower Blepharoplasty.   My results are very hard to say.   Right now.. at best i would say my results are mediocre.  My eye bags were really bad so they do look way better but there is still a visible bag under both eyes and one side is larger then the other.    I was really surprised  to see that swelling often can take much longer than the 2 weeks.       I have been told  that I  have some long term swelling which is hiding the final results  wait at least 3 months to evaluate the results and 6 months do any revision surgery if needed.

Regarding your question of how long it last.   I have heard mixed results but think its usually long term 5 + years depending on how fast you age.   Real Self.com  is a good resource maybe you can search there.

Not sure about the Skin Treatment.

2 week should be plenty of time.   In my case i was in korea for less than 2 weeks.  My advice is to use your consulting time wisely.  Pricing seem to be between  2 to 3 Mil KRW depending on the Dr and Clinic.  I ended up paying closer to 3 mil.

If i were to do this again.. I would have spent more time researching and consulting with Drs that are specialized in eyes and eye revision.    I initially considered multiple procedures along with lower bleph during my consults  and did not focus on eye specialist.

Hope this helps.  Best of wishes to you.

Thank you so much for sharing your insight with me! This is super helpful. Would you mind telling me which clinic you went to? I want to make sure that clinic isn't on my list to do consulting with.
