Facial Contouring + Rhinoplasty (tiplasty and alarplasty) at Opera Plastic Surgery

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

My surgery date for my FC and rhinoplasty will be tomorrow (July 9)! I haven’t seen many reviews for Opera PS clinic, so I’ll be making a review for my pre-op process, post-op and the results with before and after (I’m also planning on videotaping whatever I can/the whole thing, but that’ll be posted once I’m back in my home country and my face starts to take shape). I’ll keep you guys updated throughout the whole process.

Surgeon: Dr. Kwon Soon Beom (chief surgeon and board certified)
Procedures:
- Facial contouring (3)
- Rhinoplasty (alar + tip)

Consultation (pre-op):
I had my consultation last week. First impressions were that the clinic was mid-sized and was very clean. It was fairly busy. I saw mainly Koreans with a couple of foreigners. Which means the locals trust this place (this is how I intrepreted it).

I met with the English consultant, Mel. She was great! Spoke fluently, explained the whole processes well and more importantly, she was not pushy at all. Whenever I had any questions, she was prompt with answering them and helping to ease my fears face to face and through Whatsapp. The only downside was that they only have one English consultant (to my knowledge) so you may be waiting a bit because there may be other clients she has to tend to. They do have other interpreters who speak Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.

We met with Dr. Kwon, who spoke English fluently in a such a nice, calm manner. He was very realistic about my expectations, which is completely appreciated. All of the areas I wanted to touch, he just knew just by looking at my face. I had some concerns about the risks of facial contouring and he placed me at ease right away! (I’ll add more to this later.)

I had consultations with other clinics, but ultimately decided to go with Opera due to the reputation of the surgeon and his whole demeanour. He didn’t try to rush the consultation at all and answered all the questions I had. Not to mention, the prices they quoted me were fantastic compared to the other clinics. As most of you may already know, most clinics charge crazy foreigner prices. For this clinic, I believe they are more upfront with their prices. Of course, there is room for negotiations face to face but I think they may also depend on what procedures you are looking at.

Note: if you guys wanted me to talk about the other consultations I had with other clinics, let me know! I can add them on here.

I’m typing this on my phone so there may be mistakes, but I’ll add more/edit later. Wish me luck guys!! Will keep you posted!

I’m looking to get rhinoplasty in September or October!! Starting my research now.

Can’t wait to see how you look! How much did you pay for the whole thing?! Going to add Opera to my lists of places to consult with.

I’d like to know about you experiences with other consultations too and the prices they quoted etc. atm I’m doing some online consultations and shopping round before booking Korea and doing f2f to negotiate better prices.

Hello, everyone! I just returned to Canada yesterday and I am a little over 2 weeks post-op. Will be sharing updates and pictures at 3 weeks post-op. Stay tuned!

At the moment, I am healing well. Still a little swollen and bruised. I had to get deswelling shots because I was swollen more so than usual, even though I was walking 10k+ steps every day. Opera offers lighting deswelling treatments that you can go to every day (this is included in the price). I went 5 times. Post-op care, in my opinion, was fairly good. The English consultant was responsive with any questions I had and Dr. Kwon was very thorough in explaining what he procedures he performed and trying to reassure me since I did get very anxious post-op. I'll add more to this later.

I'm just extremely jetlagged at the moment. Will update later. Thanks for waiting patiently!

Hey Lily, thanks for posting your experience! Glad everything went well  may I ask how long you stayed in Korea for those two procedures? It'd be nice if you could talk about your consultations with other clinics and why you ended up choosing Opera as well!
