  1. Hey Izora

Did you message me? Because there was an email sent by purse notifying me i had received a private message from you but for some reason i can't open it.

Anyway, VIP is so weird like first they said they will give me the same price they quoted you then in 3 later emails they said they will decide when i get there. arghh this is all so frustraing. Anyway ill tell u how i go when i get there.

  2. Hi Izora,

I would say my absorbtion rate was 60-65% with a probability it would go down even further. But dermal fat is really safe to use. samsung didnt know i was at other clinics but i had them pick me up.

Could you give me the email of AT clinic's dr please? Also how much did they quote you for rib?

    thanks

  3. Hey Izora,

What's AT clinic? Do you have a link? I suggest you use rib because dermal fat might absorb in time then you will want another revision so you'd rather go through the pain only once right? =]

  4. Hi, Im not worried about the tip since i know it will take at least 6 months to see the final result. Im just greedy about my height lol.

  5. Hey, I actually didnt get fat injected. Dermal graft is taken from the thigh to build up the bridge so in a sense its different from the fat filler injections that only last a year. I hope my dermal graft doesnt get absorbed too much. So far its gone down 60% since cast off and its been a little over 1 month post op. MY tip is still very bulbous and numbish.

  6. Hey what do you mean by reabsorb? Like will it sort of disappear and become absorbed by the body meaning your bridge will be low again?
I think im getting greedy and want an even higher bridge =[ I wish i could just accept this nose my surgeon crafted for me, not that i don't like it, i thought he done a really good job silly me who was too conservative damn it.

  7. I decided to go with dermal fat because it was from my own body so rather having an implant i thought it would be safer with dermal. I didnt want another nose job after 20 years so yeh because with silicone and goretex your somewhat bound to remove them later on in life.

My nose feels good. I can't even tell i had anything done to it. Seriously its so natural, i tried looking in many different angles and lighting just to find a flaw to say it looks fake but i can't. It's so similar to my old nose just that the bridge is higher which was what i wanted. Im just scared that it will decrease over the months =[

My surgeon told me that later on in life even plastic surgeons won't be able to tell if i had a nose job because with dermal its supposed to be natural. But of course in saying how good dermal graft is i have to also tell you the cons. It can't achieve miraculous heights like implants can very very minimal like 2-3mm. Also it will definately absorb 50% or more. Another thing is that it is supposed leave you swelling for a longer period than implants but i only swelled 2 weeks then looked completely normal. I think these are the only bad points but yeh right now it feels like its fully bonded to my nose that it feels normal as if it was my old one. But with implants i think that you could actually feel the implant which isn't really a good thing :S

If your scared to lose height over the years i dont recommend dermal fat because it will definately go down. If mine goes too low to my preferance i think ill consider rib.

    Re: LuckyH

Sorry for privacy reasons i don't want to share any pics.

  8. I stayed about 12days like other people did on this forum. Dr Jung should do a good job for you since he is so popular among forumers. But i don't think he will recommend rib rather he would use gore-tex. Using rib i think needs a really skilled surgeon e.g to minimise your scarring area (toriumi does this really well). I would so choose rib over dermal fat since you can attain height plus its from your own body so no extrusion or complications that implants have. I had thought about using gore-tex once but i decided i didnt want another revision 20 years later.
But yeh i think he will do a good job with gore-tex korean surgeons are quite skilled so you should be able to get your desired results but with your tip has the swelling completely subsided yet? For me the swelling lasted 2 weeks after that i looked completely normal. I think one week after you remove your cast should be enough time since i used dermal and your using gore-tex. Dermal swells longer.

  9. Hey, a good clinic in seoul is Samsung Aesthetic clinic. Well they were pretty good when i went. They have a staff that speaks good english but the doctor speaks even better, the only thing is that he is really really busy so try go during quiet season. I'd say he's pretty expensive but its worth it seeing that he gave me what i asked for but i shouldve asked for a higher bridge (this is my fault not the surgeons because i tried to be conservative and asked for a low one).

He's really qualified, while i was in his room there were all these certificates on his wall from the US and korea. Though i felt like i couldn't ask him alot of questions because he was so busy and kept interupting me ahaha his decisions on what to do were very accurate and im glad i trusted his advice. But i think i got lucky because he concentrated alot during my surgery even though it was like midnight (yeh it was that busy that my scheduled surgery at 4pm shifted to 9pm-12am). Anyway hope that helps you. Good luck

  10. It might actually be a good thing because he should be extra careful when doing your nose. Like he might want to set a good example while teaching the other docs and perfect things so they think he is really good.

Wow 3 times? This must be really hard on you. Im just worried my bridge isn't high enough now and want a revision using rib but which material are you thinking of now?

  11. Hey i need a revision done as well. Could you tell me a bit about your trip and which hotel you stayed at for how much? Also how much did he charge you for your eyes?
    Thanks in advance

  12. Its only been 3 weeks post op but i think im looking into a revision. Does anyone know if 5 months post op is enough time because im planning to do it mid way this year. My eyes healed abnormally fast. My 5 days post op looked like someones 3 month. Im not exaggerating even the nurse told me it was really rare for someone to heal that fast. But know its all for the wrong reasons. Im hating my crease, its way too low nearly back to its pre op stage making me regret not asking for a higher one.
Such a waste of time and money, now i have to fly all the way back to redo it again and go through the pain once more =[

Does anyone know who does good revisions in seoul? Likle which clinics are reputable and all?

  13. Well i chose samsung since the surgeon seemed pretty confident and they had airport pick up service which made them the first clinic i visited. Also the website was convincing and i could only decide between them or samsung line and grand clinic but i only went to consult with them and samsung line so i chose them over samsung line.

It was $5000 including eyelid. They used dermal fat so no implant. Regarding BK i heard quite a few bad stories about them but im not sure if its true so do more research and try see what you end up with. Thats so exciting that your going on the 27th! Good luck, its a really lovely place to visit and make sure you actually go out rather than staying at the hotel the whole time.

  14. Well pain wasnt really involved. I'd say 3 for pain and 10 for discomfort. Its really uncomfortable the next day after surgery. The pain comes from the needles but even though im really scared of needles it wasn't much to be screaming in pain about.

Currently 3 weeks post op. Did mine at samsung aesthetic clinic gangnam by a renowned surgeon who was on like kbs or something. His clinic is so packed all the time with girls waiting for their turn. Throughout my whole surgery i only saw him 3 times Consulting, operation and post op once for like 2 minutes because his that busy.
I used dermal fat for my bridge. During the first 2 weeks i was complaining to myself that the bridge was too high. Now in the third week my bridge has nearly disappeared! Its going back to the preop stage. This is one of the disadvantages of using dermal graft, it gets absored ALOT. My tip is really bulbous still but i have faith it will sharpen in time.

For those who are planning to go overseas to do it you should because korea is really good. Cabs are so cheap, food is good, atmosphere is great. We went clubbing like 10 days post op ahaha i know we're not supposed to but yeh couldn't help it. Overall the experience wasn't bad at all but definately try find a buddy. Luckily i had one because it wouldnt have been the same.

  15. Currently still healing from a dermal fat graft. Had tip plasty done with ear cartilage and buttock fat for the bridge. Though the doctor says more than 50% will absorb im hoping at least 50% remains.

The surgery was a pretty horrible ordeal. I had anesthetic in me which put me to sleep and while i woke up i felt pretty sick. While i was half awake he done my eyes then i think they stuck more anesthetic in me to do my nose. This is the worst part. I remembering hearing a drilling and this really disgusting smell of burning stuff and felt really really weird.

After that was done i was so dizzy and sick. Had to spend the night at the clinic which where i hardly got enough sleep because i drank alot of water to flush out the anesthetic making me go toilet heaps.

My eyes are healing really fast, like unbelievably for some reason. I had no bruising around the area and im post op 3 days now but my eyes have deswelled alot. Now i regret no gettin a larger crease because i know its going togo down heaps the coming weeks.

However, my nose i cannot update on because the plaster is still on and i have no idea what it looks like. The tip is really swallon and bulbous but i know it will deswell in time. Im just afraid my bridge will be too low. O by the way other than the fat graft and tip plasty he also narrowed my nasal base which was why i heard the drilling.

Ill keep everyone updated once i get the plaster off. Hope i heal well!

  16. Hey!!! Omg it would be great if we could meet up or something =] Wow you go Seoul so often, thats so cool. Whats your email? Ill add you online so we could chat. Unfortunately i dont have enough posts to pm =[

  17. Hey Dabin,

I thought in grand they only have each surgeon in each field? Which clinic in seoul did you end up getting your at? Thanks for the heads up by the way

    TO EVERYONE:

Has anyone heard of Samsung Aesthetic Clinic Kangnam? I dug it up from the previous thread posted by simply.jake

They promote the use of autologous implant and seem quite experienced. This was totally the clinic i had been searching for this past year so im very excited but have very little info on it. Please share any knowledge you have, much appreciated:smile:
By the way, i've emailed them...but no reply
