Sent you a word document with the list. It's about 17 pages long (sorry), and I haven't even updated it yet.

I was getting the hang of sending a lot of girls surgery inquiry messages on the Korean cafes. In a span of 15 minutes, I sent like 150! Haha so Naver thought I was some sort of robot, and kicked me out of the account. I won't be able to go back on to see the responses until tonight. So I'll send you a more updated list when I get the chance.

Hey, when are you going to Korea? I think the reason View PS was so popular on that particular cafe was because their prices are pretty good compared to other places. For example, one person paid $16,200 for 2-jaw, square jaw and V-line, whereas at a place like ID, all 3 surgeries would cost about $27500. Word probably got around about View PS in the cafe, so more people got their surgeries done there, hence its popularity in the cafe.
Also, I was looking through View's consultation page. It makes sense that the more popular a place is, the more consultation messages they get, right? Well, I was surprised View had more consultation requests (36,994) than places like Regen (21,250), Grand (9,560) and ID (9,825), which I always thought were popular choices for locals. Maybe View is a lot more popular than I thought lol. EDIT: I just looked through TL's consultation page too, and they have 36,798 total consultation inquiries, which is a little less than View's total.

But I think that Regen, ID and Banobagi are still good places though... just a little more expensive. If you would feel more comfortable with them, since they're more English friendly, then you should check them out. All three are actually still on my list of potential places to go, particularly Banobagi. I've yet to hear any bad reviews about them, so I'm keeping all of my options open until I get more responses from locals. I've gotten responses from about 70 people, which seems like a lot, but I want to try to get as many as possible, from as many different cafes as possible... just to eliminate any possible inconsistencies, and to get a clearer pattern of popular places that are mutually agreed on.

And yeah, I was a little turned off by how young the two main surgeons at View look. I'm not too sure who specializes in V-line and zygoma either. I just know that both do cleft palate-craniofacial and reconstructive surgery, but I don't know who's better or more experienced. I also don't know who specializes in what at TL, sorry. I just know that a pretty girl recommended Kim Ji Myoung and the director, Jung Yun Ho lol. When I come up with more information, I'll be sure to let you and everyone know.

I am abit confused of what you guys were talking about. Is it because some of your threads were removed? So sorry to be asking silly questions but what is naver & you have links to some Korea cafes which provide more info on ps?

I feel like I am re-doing my research on the clinics again because initially I was more inclined to go to BK but now I am not too sure what or who to trust anymore.

I looking at 1st week of jan but nt sure my nose will heal before chinese new year. How long does it takes for just rhino to heal? As in reasonably presentable.

Initially i was quite undecide where to go for my rhino but after hearing so many good reviews from other forumers about your after pics of your eyes & nose, Dr Gim is now on my top list. Was also considering Dr Hong after seeing Dan4me's pics but BK's reputation really made me very worried & insecured. By the way, ok to send me your b/a pics of your nose? Thks!!

Thanks for sending me your before and after photos! I can't stop marveling at how naturally Dr. Gim was able to create Megan Fox's nose for you. I previously thought it would be impossible on an Asian face, but it all looks proportional and gives your face a hypnotic vibe

Did you specifically request Megan Fox's nose? I know some surgeons are averse to clients bringing in pictures but that's what I'm thinking of doing.

Shane, I am interested to see/know too . Is it because of alot of revision or touch up required? Initially was considering more than rhinoplasty but I worried results not desirable the 1st time & need to go back for more revision. Do we have to "maintain" for rhino? Is it permanent? Do we need to "touch up" along the years due to "wear & tear" etc? Sorry if I asking stupid questions.

Thanks for the compliment. The picture that I had sent you, I Photoshop the nose to show the surgeon and my self what to look forward to. So the nose you see is not my real nose. I have less projection on the tip of my nose nose which I will have it corrected next year via rhino revision at BK.

Don't let the unimpressive before and after phot alter your decision about ID. Talk to dr park first. ID perform 2 jaws on a more regular basis compare to other clinic. That alone is enough to convince me of ID integrity.

DR shin charge USD 2000 for my lateral 3D.

Gumshoo, the above was Shane's reply to my earlier query because I thought his nose already looked very nice from his profile pic. So you see, he did make it known in the forum that his nose in the pic was photoshopped. For new comers like me who know nuts abt plastic surgery, which doctor is good, limited time to source for information, I really appreciate people like Shane who not shared his experience but also lots of valuable information & advices.

Shane, gosh! Didn't know you went through so many surgeries. 44?? Are you a perfectionist? Thanks for sharing & for all your advices.

For who has been asking me for my before and after photo of my eyelid. Here it is. It show an evolution of what my eyes use to look like to what it look like now after lateral 3D. The first picture show very obviously my eyes before any eyelid surgery. The second photo show the result of what 2 botch eyelid procedure looks like, the third is a picture taken after 6 month after I had my eyelid revision done by Dr shin at BK. and the final picture show my eyes after having lateral 3D done by dr shin of BK 6 days post op.

Hi Shane, thanks for the pics! When you emailed me only the 4th pic, I was thinking actually your eyes already looked pretty nice based on the post 2 jaw surgery (your profile pic on the left). Now that I saw your before eyes surgery pics, I could really appreciate what Dr Shin did for you. Great job on the revision.

I am still lost as to which doctor to go to for my rhinoplasty . Does Dr Shin speak English & any charges for consultation?

People here has been asking me in email and PM what other surgeries i have line up after my lateral 3D. So here it is in no particular order.

Zygoma reduction revision
Rhino revision
Love band
Fat graft

Thus far, both ID and BK suggest that my zygoma ismfine and no further reduction is required. But both clinic does admit that i have a slight asymmetry in my cheekbone. When I was Bano in April consulting for my 2 jaws, the surgeon took notice of my zygoma and is willing to reduce them for me. Bano isn't my top choice form facial contouring, ID is, follow by dr shin or BK. But if I still couldn't convince anyone of of them to reduce the asymmetry, then Bano will move up to the top of my list. So at the moment, I'm not really sure who will be doing my zygoma and when I will be doing it.

As for revision rhino, originally in had plan to have it done by dr shin. But for whatever reaso. Decide to shop around first and found ID, and found their price very reasonable for revision rhino. I would have done the revision rhino done at ID if the head surgeon dr gim didn't have a full schedule for rhino this month, which is kind of a blessing in disguise. Cause ater my lateral 3D with Dr shin, I remember why choose to have Dr shin revise my nose the first place. He did such an incredible job with my lateral 3D, it would be wrong if if didn't let him do my revision rhino as well. So I'm pretty much settle on Dr shin of BK for the nose, but since I just had 2 jaws 2 months ago, dr shin recommended that I wait 6 to 12 months before under going rhino since my septal cartilage may be damage during the 2 jaws and I must allow adequate time to heal before he would operate on my nose. So the revision rhino is going to be some time atbthebend of e year or early next year.

Fat graft and love graft I have no decide yet. But I am kinda leaning toward jewelry, unless I decide to use dermis instead of fat, then it will be back to BK. Fat graft at jewelry seem to be quite reasonable in term of cost. But fat graft require repeat injection to sustainthe result, that mean coming back for a refilled every 2 to 3 months. While dermis isma little costly compare to fat, the resut is more permanent. So I could save on then cost of airfare, accommodation, and food if i choose dermis oer fat...which I probably will. Spartan warrior is consider the same thing as well. If dermis is the way to go, then BK is the only clinic i will ever choose to have it done at, just because of dr shin.

Hi Shane, thks for the pics. You looked great in your 2 jaws surgery. Your nose looked very nice too but you are going for revision rhinoplasty? I have wrote to ID but they only refer me to their b/a nose pics for reading/understanding. Their b/a pics also don't seem to be very impressive.

Saw that you have just done lateral 3D. Can send me your b/a pics for this? How much did Dr Shin charge you?

They also recommended me to do All in One surgery for a more defined jaw which I am considering. Since you share so much about Dr Park of ID, thought I'll like to see your results. Clinic and service level?
Very attentive, prompt and professional. Regen is more like a hospital than a clinic for their facilities is big. I think they have moved to a bigger premies by now. I had my op done during their last few weeks at their Apujeong clinic.

Only downside to it is... they don't provide complimentary hair wash like BK or VIP. You have to find ways to wash your hair. By yourself or at a salon.

Satisfied
Very. I asked for natural yet still wanting a nose like Han Ye Seul. I got 80% to it. Can't wait for it to settle to it's final shape after 6 months. Most satisfied that there are no scars at the side of the alars. It's all done under the nostrils, and inner side of the alars and scaring now can be hardly seen.

Why I chose my doc
I go for clinics and doctors with excellent track record, and I don't mind paying more for a well known doctor like Dr. Kim.

Why I am ok with silicon implant and septal cartilage
Silicon implant is a soft material throughout. Gortex is soft at first, but will harden like a bone after a period of time. Silcon looks better on girls, while gortex suit guys more if they want a strong look.

As for risk of infection, silicon is actually safe for the majority. People usually experience infection about 7 days, perhaps due to body allergy to silicon. Since I was staying there for 10 days, I was prepared to go back for re-op if *touch wood* if anything happen. But all is good.

Septal cartilage is preferred because... I prefer having nose material for nose. lol. Also, the less pain the better. Take note that doctor will use your ear cartilage if there are not enough septal cartilage material inside your nose.

Swelling
Really depends on individual and if they are confident enough to go out even with a swollen face. For me, after 5 days, I went out with a mask, and put BB cream to cover the light yellowish swelling. After they remove the cast and outside nose stitches after 7 days, I can go out without wearing a mask. You know what they say about swelling going down? It was literaly true. The swell from the upper half of the face, went to the lower half of the face after a few days, making your face looks chubby.

After 12 days, I can go out with confidence. (Of cos with makeup to cover up any remaining swelling color)

Finally...
I knew all these info through extensive research on web, forums and even bought a book. The overall experience was frightening at first cos it was my first time having an op, and I'm afraid of the sight of blood and needles. But if you have gone through facial extraction and body waxing, then you can pretty much handle the pain for it's bearable.
