  1. I will imagine most aesthetic/plastic surgery clinics in Seoul are able to provide you with a filler injection to raise the depressed scar. Deeper boxcar scars might require subcision of the underlying fibrous scar tissue, which involves using a small scalpel-like needle to nick the base of the scar. Laser treatments will work for lesser scars, and will require multiple treatments over several months.

Of course, please get yourself a plastic surgeon to have a look at it for a more accurate review.

  2. Thanks for the reply, guess I'll need to go along with someone.

If translators didn't earn that much, I would have just allowed them to earn a share for showing me around, in whatever loose capacity that means.

  3. Thanks Peterpan for the very detailed rundown.

I was planning to get a translator (yes, the one that begins with A), mainly because I worried about how to get appointments, losing my way around town, and having someone take care of me while I'm recovering. I was even prepared to let them have a cut, but gosh, that percentage is killer! Plus they try to shunt you to a clinic of their choice, and don't help with price negotiations (well, since that would eat into their revenue directly).

I was wondering how you managed in the post operative period: the meals, the clinic follow ups etc. That's really my concern, since I'm planning a solo trip.

    Would appreciate any input, thanks!

  4. Hi, may I know if your primary was rib rhinoplasty? 5k seems to suggest silicon since their VIP's rib rhinoplasty is usually more than 10k.

  5. Not long ago the combined cost for both operations were USD 10-12k. Now it is 14-15k. I'm not sure if they factored in a possible bargain or discount, or if they really mean to cost a limb for it.

Looks like they've priced themselves out of the market.

  6. Not sure about fat grafting, but a typical silicon rhinoplasty should deswell by 1-2 weeks.

I don't think there is any specific contraindications for flight when it comes to plastic surgery, unless one is unwell postoperatively.

  7. I've only heard about Zoe...

Do you have her active contact, or anyone else who is good?

    Thanks!

  8. Lexethan:

Haha, thanks. I'm not the first guy here, I'm certain. Kain, intherighthands, rawdude... just to name a few.

I'm from Singapore. A better paying job has allowed me to consider my own facial aesthetics, so here I am. I like the higher bridge augmentation of a rib nose, but the surgery appears a tad too intensive for an elective operation.

I too was thinking of a June trip for reconnaissance, but nothing is set in stone. Best to avoid the July-August period as it is the Korean school holidays.

    Lemmiknox:

I had the impression the tip definition was in some way influenced by the choice of material. A tip forged with ear cartilage might undergo more resorption than one done with rib.

My main obstacle is really the language barrier; makes things difficult when I want to consider the smaller clinics like April31. Do you have any information for foreigners when it comes to clinics like Nano and April31? Or Dream Surgery?

I'm trying to pick up some Korean, but I doubt it is sufficient to convey my wishes to the surgeon

P.S. I'm having some difficulty posting on the forum due to error messages, wonder if it is due to to newbie account.

  9. Dear all,

Like many others before me, I am a new member of this forum. I've read through the 3 Asian Nose Job threads, and it was certainly mind blowing ;) I'm a guy, by the way.

I don't have the necessary posts for PMs or albums, so this is my first post to accruing them. At the moment, I'm considering either rib or silicon, so I'm very interested in post-op rib pictures of varying durations. Unfortunately, most have been taken down, or the original posters are no longer active.

I'm curious about the definition of the rib nose post surgery, and how long it takes to achieve it. The bulbous tip or a wide dorsal bridge is not something I want. Kain, are you still around? Would love to see your pictures. I'm also hoping to hear about using 100% rib even for the tip, as I am concerned about resorption rates. Anyone with a rib done, please feel free to give your opinion. azn_kid, intherighthands, bisousx, anyone?

For silicon, veering towards Dream or Banobagi. Feedback has been mixed, so I am not entirely convinced. Moreover, 90% of Koreans do silicon rhinoplasty, and the result seems better and... faster (guilty of instant gratification here too).

    Thanks!
