  1. At DAPRS, there's only one facial contouring specialist is Dr. Sangwoo lee. After the surgery, the nurses are the ones who take care of you and tell you all the instructions that are needed to take care of yourself after surgery. (The print out instructions were in korean though btw!!)

They gave me a prescription for meds I needed to take for 5 days, 3x a day which I had to purchase.
    Hope that helps!

  2. thank you~! I don't believe DAPRS has an english translator at the moment. But I do know they have a chinese staff in the house.

For me, a friend came with me to my consults and she was a huge help

  3. Hi sorryyy I can't give you the exact amount.... But I think it was 2 mill Kwon? Since I was doing multiple surgeries, I was able to cut down the price. Daprs is def on the more expensive side and they are pretty hard to bargain with so bring your best bargaining skills!

  4. I did the incision method because I had no crease whatsoever and I wanted to make sure the crease stayed. I asked for a parallel crease and to cut the outer corners of my eyes. I told the dr to leave the inners alone because I felt like my eyes are already too close to my face.

I think my surgery is a bit different than the mandible reduction because I didn't shave down my jaw bone. I had v-line osteotomy which is basically cutting the chin and putting it back together with screws. Not sure if you know what I mean but I think its a bit differrent

I know someone who already had natural double eyelids and went for a non incision method to make the crease higher, I personally think its looks great!

  5. I read good things about ITEM clinic and first learned about them through a blogger named peggy heng, the results are amazing! So I went in for a consultation and the staff had an english and chinese translator, very professional. I took an x-ray and it was free.
Then I went in for the consultation. I first spoke with the financial coordinator, I told her exactly what I wanted and didn't want. I told her I wanted to shorten my chin length so I wanted to do v-line ost and I'm against two-jaw surgery. She looked at me and said that I needed it and kept asking me why I didn't wanted to get it done. I simply said, because I didn't want to do it. Again, she asked why. Then I replied, because of the healing time, the amount of money, and I didn't want to do something so invasive to my face. And finally she understood and was like Im only asking the reason because I have to tell the doctor.
The doctor comes in and asks me the same question lol. I told him the same answer and then when we were talking about the v-line surgery, it didn't seem like he was very skilled. Well, Im sure he is but he was not exactly what I was looking for. I did see some girls in the waiting room who has gotten fat grats and their nose done, and it looked like it came out nicely.

But in the end, I crossed them off my list. Here is my experience, hoped it help!

  6. Hey everybody, I thought I would share my experience since I've been getting most of my info on this forum in the past. I thought I can help others as well!
Surgeries done: V-line osteotomy, fat grafts on forehead and cheeks, and double eyelid surgery.
I'm over 3 weeks post-op and got it done at DAPRS.

    My experience:
The day before surgery, they told me not to eat or drink anything the night before. The day of surgery, I kept my face bared and applied a bit of moisturizer. After I changed into their robes, they took pictures of me in the beginning of my face and legs (to see where to pull out the fats). They then took me into the surgery room, strapped me down and had a monitor for my heart. Overall, I was not nervous at all. I was calm because I knew what I was getting myself into so I was very relaxed. The Doctor didn't draw on my face at all but I trusted his abilities. Then gave me a shot and off I go...
I woke up in the middle of the surgery and I can smell something burning. The Dr said "okay, you're awake now? good." And proceeded to burn the fat off my eyes, which hurt! After that he instructed me to open and close my eyes and to look at him and look away. I followed his instructions as he was creating the crease. After he was done, the nurses covered my eyes and then off I go to sleep again.

I was awoken by these nurses leading me into the heated mattress bed to warm up my body, I was so cold. A nurse came in after a while to wake me up but I couldn't stand the first time and dozed off again. She came back later on and I was able to slowly walk with these tubes in my mouth IV in my arm and bandages on my face. I stayed over the hospital overnight and I was so unbelievably thirsty! I drank at least 4 bottles of water even though it was so difficult to push it down my throat. The nurses came in during the night and told me I shouldn't lay down too much and to walk around. Which I did. I didn't feel that much pain at all, just very uncomfortable.
They removed fats from my left butt cheek and I guess that was enough for my forehead and cheeks.
The staff were very nice and friendly and checked up on me throughout the night.

My face was literally a ballon and my eyes were horrible. But, I knew I had to be patient and I'm looking a lot better now compared to 3 weeks ago. Im really loving how my eyes came out and I think it will look great once they deswell a bit more. My face is still a bit swollen at the cheeks. The fat graft on my forehead is a bit too voluminous for my face which is stressing me out a bit... really hoping it goes down more!

Oh and please don't ask for before and after pictures. I do not feel comfortable uploading it or showing it to anyone. I just wanted to share my experience and I hope it helps!

  7. Purchase pumpkin juice (ho-bak-jup)! You can buy it at those herb medience stores. I got mine for $35 for 50 pouches. Expensive compared to if you were to buy it online but try to find a store that doesn't charge you more than this! Drink 3 a day and it will help with the deswelling!

  8. Do you happen to know how much he used to charge back at View? Im still in the process of negotiating the price and managed like a thousand off. SIGH

  9. Hey all! So I finished going to several different clinics for a consultation for eyes and jaw reduction surgery. I set appoints to see TLPS, Item clinic, View clinic, Girin, and DA. I ended up not going to to view and girin due to time restrictions.

    1. My appointment with TLPS was at 10am. It was easy to find and the building is pretty big, clean and very modern looking. I had to pay $30 for the CT scan (which was the only clinic to actually charge me for this) and they also took pictures. I dont recall the name of the doctor i spoke with for the facial contouring specialist but he seemed to know what I wanted and how much I wanted reduce my jawline. I don't think I spent too much time with him but I didn't necessarily felt like I was being rushed. However, due to my tight schuedule, I didn't have time to wait to see the eye doctor. They quoted me roughly 9,000ish just for facial contouring.

    2. Item Clinic
I was a bit late for this appointment but the staff here were super friendly. Many biligual assistants (Chinese and english). I did see some patients waiting who got their nose and possible fat grafting which looked like it came out nicely. I took some xrays (no charge) and eventually got to see the doctor. For my eyes, I didn't want my inner corners to get cut because I felt like my eyes were already really close together. But apparently after measuring the distance its not that close. The dr said i could cut the inner and outter corners and suggested a more natural crease. However I wanted something a bit more noticable (since I am paying money for a change, I want it to be noticable right?) then we discussed the facial contouring. Before I spoke with the dr, I told the financial coordinator that I didn't want twojaw surgery and she kept saying I needed twojaw surgery. I kept saying No, I do not want that surgery. And she kept asking me why not, whats the reason. That kind of ticked me off because if i don't want to get something done, I just dont want it. And the dr also asked me why I didn't want twojaw surgery and I just plainly said because of the pain, time to recover, money and im not looking into getting something that dramatic done to my face. His alternative was the v-line surgery but he said it would make my chin look blunt and straight (no curve). I was a bit disappointed and already knew this was not the clinic for me. It was the cheapest though. Eyes and v-line was laround 9,500.

    3. I skipped view and went straight to DA because of the main doctor who created his own pratice. I walked in and there were a lot of pretty assistants. His B&A are amazing. I took my x-ray and consulted with the dr. He took his time to explain what I needed. He said, although I do need twojaw surgery because my bite is a bit off, it won't solve my long chin problem. So he said doing the v-line ost is the best option for me. He also said he can rotate the chin after cutting it so it creates that curve. He didn't push anything on me and asked me if i had anymore questions. After speaking with the coordinator, they charged me 12,000 for eyes and v-line! I was just so shocked I was speechless. I told them I would call them back.

    4. Regen- Very big, beautiful and has a lotlotlot of patients. I had to wait 2 hours to just see the facial contouring doctor. He also seemed very skillful and talked thru the procedure. His english is also pretty great however, whenever he answered me in english, I felt like he was being condensending. Overall it was okay. Then they said I would have to wait more to see the eye doctor and at this point I just couldn't. The price was okay ranges from 9000-10,000 for both eyes and v-line. The only thing I did not like about this place was that since its TOO big, it didn't feel intimate. If there are so many patients, how will I know they will be able to focus on me during my surgery and my aftercare? Well thats just me.

Anyways. This is my experience! I still have yet to decide..

  10. this is exactly the surgery I wanted to get for the longest time! Finally, someone with firsthand experience. Do you happen to know JK's email? Sorry if you had to repeat yourself answering this question.

My flight to korea is on Jan 7 and ive been emailing a few clinics to set up an appointment for a consult. Did the clinics charge you a fee? I have so many questions! do you mind if i PMed you?

  11. I haven't gotten anything done yet but looking at regens before and after pictures seemed very mediocre in my opinion. I also sent out frontal and side profile pictures to different clinics asking what they recommended and regen was the only clinic to say I should get BOTH two jaw surgery and v-line surgery... Lol wtf they're just trying to get more money out of me. Just left a bad impression for me

  12. I think REX or Everm is good with that procedure but please do a lot of research on this surgery. Do you have to correct your bite?

  13. Thanks shiny! Your research is always vey helpful ^^

  14. Thanks for to update! He's the one I wanted to go for v line surgery if it decided on view. And I heard recently he left view so now I'm going to look into this clinic now
