I can only DM photo of my eyes, if that's okay? (not comfortable showing my whole face)
I'm pretty sure I posted a photo of them in this thread a few months ago, but the skin has matured now and they're not as puffy/round around the crease anymore
I never said the sound came from beside me. I certainly heard footsteps and grinding sound. I also clearly said I assumed it was from the dental clinic. I could wrong as to where it came from, the sound also didn't even stop me from proceeding with the appointment, but I certainly heard it.
Is it okay if I ask who told you he only does 3 per day?
Calf reduction involving any adjustment of the muscles is a dangerous and experimental procedure. Some patients are no longer able to bend over, and in some cases, they can't even walk after calf reduction.
The dangerous type is commonly referred to by "partial gastrocnemius muscle resection" -- some patients report being unable to stand up for more than 30 minutes, even years after the surgery!
If you go for calf reduction, ALWAYS go for a doctor who does liposuction or botox, NOT incisional/surgical calf reduction. Surgery involving cutting the calf muscles to make them smaller is illegal in several countries for a reason.
Stretching the legs also promotes blood flow, which increases muscle metabolism, causing fats to be burned. After two months of good yoga or basic stretches, you get slimmer legs... a few thousand dollars less than surgery, if you ask me.
I tried to avoid post many details earlier about my experience (I was told by a lot of people that consultants read many forums checking for negative feedback and I'm still scared they do that...I asked a receptionist something along the lines, and she said I "don't need to worry as long as I don't post anything..." almost terrifying)
however,
I do want to agree with jessiee, you can occasionally hear a dull sound like a waterlase being used or a dental drill, screaming, and even footprints inside the operating room. Pitangui is a dental clinic with plastic surgery as a side business, I initially thought that that was where the sound came from, maybe I was wrong.
I do think, though, that the operating room was not small at all, it was average-sized. Only a tiny bit smaller than a dental-only surgeon I went to in Japan. Definitely not anywhere near as small as my own bathroom, either.
I think you should consider more than one clinic, do consultation at a few and see if you like the doctors there personally more than Pitangui. Weigh all your options, don't just consult at one clinic.
You could find a doctor who knows better what to do for your specific facial features at another clinic during your visit that you would have missed if you only visited one clinic.
You need to also be careful that you don't trust the photos on the Pitangui website. The models look really, really good in the videos (easy to tell their faces are not edited in the videos,) but they do not look much like their photos. I have a feeling the photos on the website are from the free simulation you get at your consultation, because they look just like the simulation they gave me...
However, whichever you choose to go, especially at Pitangui DO NOT DO YOUR SURGERY LATE IN THE DAY OR AT NIGHT. Dr. Yoo apparently does a lot of surgeries every day and gets tired/is rude to patients after he's done some already. Being tired = making mistakes!
A forumer here had the same procedures I did at Pitangui, but (I think? This is going off the time their consultation was and that they went straight to surgery)
theirs was at 5pm and mine was at 9am. Mine came out great, but theirs was so messed up they needed a revision.
You can never be too demanding. It is your own face, after all!
I can't tell a lot without picture, but it sounds a lot like ptosis correction is exactly what you need. If your current eyelid sits so where part of the iris (colored part of the eye) is covered, it's definitely a good idea. If the eyelid line only goes across a little of the top of the iris, ptosis correction might make you look surprised a lot (this isn't as much of a concern for people who wear large circle lenses)
JK isn't that good for men nose-wise, though, so watch out. They absolutely REFUSE to do reduction osteotomy on non-locals, and most men tend to have bonier noses that need osteotomy to achieve male standard of beauty
It is very sad that people can't always trust clinics' websites. The best way to know if a clinic you're interested in has harmed people is by word of mouth, like this thread, or by talking to users in Naver who have posted about their experience.
A lot of users have been mentioning not being able to read Japanese clinics' sites or have even vastly overestimated prices because they did not understand the language or yen conversion, and the online translator services cannot parse the information, so I have taken the two Japanese clinics mentioned most often here and translated their price lists from Japanese to English.
Feel free to ask for translations of other clinics' sites from Japanese to English.
As all clinics' website price lists are, these are only estimates and will be slightly higher for non-asian or non-Japanese patients
This clinic has a huge number of procedures available, I only translated what was popular here.
This clinic is better at eyes and nose than jaw/chin.
This clinic has large "combined procedures" discounts, especially for two or more simultaneous nose procedures.
Face and Head:
Chin augmentation -- Starting from $3000
Facelift (entire face) -- Starting from $6000
Hair transplant -- $1000
I could not find price information on v-line, mandible angle reduction, or chin shaving, even though some "after" photos are of patients who have obviously had one or both.
Nose:
Bulbous nose reduction (No osteotomy, no bone cutting) -- $3200
Revisional nose surgery, removal of fillers or implants from the tip ONLY -- $1600
Nasal apex reduction (shorten an overly prominent tip) -- $3200

Hyaluronic acid injection -- $80 per 0.1cc, minimum of $430
Description beneath this says it is used for correcting the sunken eyes, nasolabial fold, dark eye bags and thick lips.
Botox -- Starting from $215
They're having a special half-off campaign for Botox right now.
This clinic appears to be very good at facial bone surgery such as V-line and mandible angle, but some of their nose look very fake. Nice-looking eyelids.
Do not get your eyelids or lips done here if you want a masculine (man's) face. Results are typically very feminine.
Be warned! Their informational youtube videos at the bottom of some pages are a bit graphic, they even display the long bone segments that were removed from a patient's jaw. Don't click play if you are squeamish.
Non-Surgical Charges:
Consultation: $10
3D simulation of your face/results before operating: $30

Aegyosal / no more eye bag -- $3200 to $4300 depending on depth
Fat injection lower eyelid -- $4200
That's just it, though. The Korean government puts a large tax on PS to profit off of it rather than try to regulate safety or even protect its image. Measures are even taken to prevent locals from suing clinics that ruin their faces.
I finally have photos! I had trouble locating a "before" photo that wasn't entirely covered up, so sorry it took longer than expected.
I don't think I mentioned before, but I am male, so I didn't try for "dramatic dolly eye" or even a very high crease, I just aimed to look more awake and attentive.
The left photo was taken in 2011 and the right photo is 45 days after
It's hard to tell in the photo left because it was taken with a nintendo DS and therefore very blurry, but the actual fold sits about 2.5mm above my eyelash line. It's almost fully matured and is usually partially or completely hidden behind my eyelashes
I haven't had my v-line yet because I haven't really decided if I truly need it, my jaw is actually not very angular or prominent, just the shape of my chin that bothers me. If I do proceed with V-line, I'm considering JK Plastic because of the results they've posted of their Chinese patients. I don't really want the dramatic pointy V, though, so I'm not sure how much it migth help you
That's one of the reasons I chose not to do V-line there.
Even on the new photos they added, in a lot of their V-line before and after photo, it seems to deal with the mandible only instead of both the tip of the chin and the mandible angle together. It leaves a really soft shape. Makes me wonder if it costs more to include the tip of the chin in the changes made, or if many patients just prefer egg-line
It's not that they're conservative and prefer natural, but they put safety in top priority. They seem to favor the dramatic nose change like most clinics, even so, they're careful of the nerves in the face
I think the "sliding genioplasty" photo I was looking at was actually chin fillers, which may explain why it seemed so subtle, but I could have read wrong. I will try to get more information on that either from their website or next time I contact them
It's not many months! I meant above one, sorry, I messed up my English. Recovery length also depends on your skin health and the type, usually after 30 days, all major swelling goes down in healthy people, a little slow for me because I was very bad about nutrition for the first few weeks. I hope I'm making more sense
Whenever I forget to drink a lot of water or eat a lot of sodium, the next few hours, my eyes look a lot like I've just had a really long nap or cried, but still much better than they used to be. I think I see what the "true" results are on a day I've been more attentive to good health habits
They only have two models for rhinoplasty on their website (but four on their facebook) and I haven't yet had my nose done with them, so I can't say for sure. Opinions and preferences in shape also differ greatly between people.
If you want to judge yourself, you can see the tip augmentations they have posted on their facebook (here and here, and one without photoshop)
I'd say to take those all with a grain of rice because it's hard to tell how much is edited in or out in the touch-up process
[[EDIT]]
I didn't notice you asked about eyes!
Months ago, I had my upper eyelids done at Pitangui, but it's still too early for me to tell how well they turned out. Major swelling has gone down greatly and I didn't really bruise much
I will see if I can post before and after pictures soon
Their sliding genioplasty with implants usually leave a very subtle result. They're good at facial contouring, facial fat graft, and breast augmentation.
This model is No. 3, her eyes were initially very small. Personally, I like how hers turned out better of the two, but everyone has their own desired result. If I remember correctly, the photo right next to the bottom right was taken later than the very bottom right one, after swelling went down.
The model labeled No. 2 supposedly had her eyelids done before and just had a revision, V-Line, and fat graft at Pitangui, but it doesn't say if the original surgery was done there or somewhere else
If you do lots of stretching of the muscles while you're unable to exercise, it keeps them strong. Be sure to ask the doctor before engaging in yoga or other stretching first, though. You will likely be able to maintain or even continue to improve the strength of your muscles
Since you said in a later post that all of the surgery will be done on your face, unless they graft something from another body area, you'll probably be allowed to stretch
Pitangui does do doll eyes, but they don't refer to them as doll eyes. They also aren't as extreme and bulbous as, say, Fresh. (I don't think they do aegyosal.) Two of their cinderella transformation models have doll eyes in their "after" photos on Facebook, but No. 2 already had quite large, bright eyes.
Do you mean 5 million won in total for all of those procedures together, or 5 million each? That's a surprisingly low price, lower than what they send in their e-mail charts
I have more updates from JK; After more e-mails the ranges shrank as they separated into different procedures (jaw became two smaller ranges for v-line and two-jaw, rhino became two smaller ranges for reduction and implant, reduction on the higher end with implant on the lower end. It makes more sense now) -- I plan to have a face-to-face consultation sometime soon and return with more accurate information.
One thing I wanted to add, when I said rounded, I didn't mean so extremely round as it's written in the image, more so that the jaw didn't like it could cut glass like some clinics do.
Has anybody tried Pitangui?
