Hi Everyone!

It is my first time posting on here. I recently just got very invested and serious about getting a nose job in Korea. I'm planning on visiting sometime towards the tail end of next year (2015) and in the meantime, would love to gain as much knowledge as possible about the procedures, doctors, and materials. So far, my top choices are JW, DA, and Dream. In the event that I do end up going around the same time as some of you, I would love to meet up and split costs! Anyway, the issue I have with my nose is the bulbous tip, non-existent bridge, and wide nasal bone. Many people have told me I have a "cute, button nose" but I have never seen it that way. I was quoted about 3800k USD for bridge augmentation and alarplasty from one of the clinics. I'm waiting for the additional cost for the osteotomy. I usually just hear people getting bridge augmentation, tiplasty and alarplasty done to to nose. I wasn't aware of osteotomy until the email consultant brought it up. Do you guys know if this is a difficult process?

I was contemplating on going to Thailand to get it done since I have family there and it would cut the cost in half, but I seriously do not know if I trust Thai doctors. The B/A I've seen from Thai doctors don't look natural at ALL and there's no much information about them. I really like how Korean plastic surgeons strive for a natural balance.

I think you need a osteotomy and nose bridge augmentation. I don't think you need anything else. You look cute already.

With the recent news of Joan Rivers die while going under general anesthesia for a minor surgery emphasize the fact that any surgery is risky. You guys be safe and always put safety first when consider a clinic. You never know how your body going to react.

Light year, how many days do you have to wait for the surgery after consultation? Or they have an opening fir you the next day?

My feedback on Apr31 is that they're very local. Even their sign in forms are completely in Korean. The doctors I met -Dr Kim (rhinoplasty specialist) and the eye doctor- were not as fluent in English as other clinics I consulted with. Dr Kim spoke English well enough to get his point across, but the eye doctor didn't speak English and the consultant had to translate.

However, they are very foreigner friendly in that they have consultants who are fluent in English with you the whole time, accompanying you and translating; and I find their consultants very responsive over kakao (I worked with Brian).

The consults are thorough and detailed (and long!) I liked that they had a strong point of view, and they tell you what is achievable, vs what is unrealistic, and what is achievable but doesn't jive with their aesthetic (e.g. Their preference is for tapered over parallel creases, and thin over thick creases, but they can do parallel if you insist) and which procedures give you greatest return on your dollar vs procedures that are just marginally effective for your face shape.

They give me the feeling that they're less 'commercial' than the rest. It's definitely not a factory-clinic feel.

They acknowledge that they are pricier and position themselves as more 'premium' than the rest of the clinics.

I had a positive consultation experience, but they are just way too pricey for me!

Omg motherhen, I am so sorry. It is horrible how Aone treated a patient/customer. Seriously, I get so used to how American doctors treat patient, they care for each patient. I am so sadden with very few Korean doctors treating patient like Aone. It is very unfortunate.

Looking at the video of Dr Suh speaks about surgery and speak to patients, I got the feeling he is one of the most ethical doctor out there. I think he is a really good doctor.

My main purpose of this trip was to get my bulbous nose tip done and raise up the bridge area. I visited a number of clinics but there were mainly two clinics that left me a good and professional impression. I researched quite a lot and found that korea's best nose doctors are dr park of dream and dr Kim of april31, so I am going to review the both below. Other clinics I visited don't matter as I wanted a real nose specialist to have my nose done.

Dream clinic
Dream clinic has a really nice ambience and almost all its staffs have beautiful skin with no flaws(and I heard they have a good skin clinic too!). I saw that there were many Chinese patients(as well as a few locals) and it was quite a busy clinic. Waiting time was quite long. I waited almost an hour before I could see the consultant. My translator Daphne (who is wayy gorgeous) had been very kindly explaining things about dream to me while i wait. When it was my turn, the consultant showed me her before and after photos - she had done nose and cheekbones surgery. She looked quite different to me in a prettier way. However her nose was still bulbous to my liking and when I asked her if I needed vline she said I could. But that didn't stop me from being interested in dream because of the closed rhinoplasty methods that I was keen in. Then I was brought out to the seating area and waited about 10 minutes before seeing dr park. I was brought upstairs at the operating theatre where dr park's office was. Dr park is honestly quite friendly, when he talked to me he had just finished an operation but he still remained very keen in explaining what I needed. Dream has like four doctors who operate on noses and a few other who are specialists in their own areas. I then left dream and went to april31 after quite a long stay in dream

April 31
When I went to april31, there were quite a number of locals and Chinese. I was quite amazed when I entered the clinic and all the staffs at the reception stood up to welcome me. It was a warm welcome to be honest lol. I went to proceed with my translator Brian(who has an incredible sense of humor and genuinely helpful) and a consultant. The consultant has an amazingly pretty nose and she told me she had done hers at April 31. I heard that there were famous celebs who did their noses with Dr Kim but from what I see he does not like to advertise and brag about himself having done their noses. Humble man I would say. Additionally I was told that dr Kim makes noses that patients can do piggy noses afterwards (even though I wouldn't dare to after my surgery). I researched well enough to know that local Koreans, especially those with post op nose problems eg contracture go to Dr Kim for revision and would never need another op. Back to the consultation with the consultant, she told me that I would not need other surgeries other than nose and she would not recommend me to go through additional and redundant surgeries. I felt that April 31 was honest with me in this and I felt that they weren't out there to get my money for extra procedures. I consulted with Dr Kim and had a good gut feeling with him. I went back to talk to the consultant and Brian, and they showed me pictures of Dr Kim's works and I was impressed, there were obvious changes to the nose in comparison to dream.

I went home afterwards to give a thought about these two clinics. I was quite in a dilemma tbh because I really liked both doctors. april31 is more expensive than Dream is. That was one of my considerations but I felt that what you pay is what you get (through a handful of past experiences lol). No doubt, dr park of dream is skilled I believe, but the changes are quite small. On the other hand, april31 has obvious changes in a good way. I mean, after all, you are paying money to see changes right? After few days of considering, I decided to go with my heart with April 31. I had my surgery yesterday which I will talk about in the next posts in detail. Oh and if you are coming to Korea, definitely check out the Gwangjang market it's amazing!

Sammyy, I want to use dermal graft for my bridge too. Can you ask the doctor with dermal graft, how many mm can the bridge be raise? Will it look natural?

I just want to stress that everyones motabolism is different, your FG may last longer but what i do know for sure is you need to do it more than once. It seems after 3x most peoples FG is giving permanent results. My 10% hasn't decreased to-date.

I hope it is swelling because the nostrils shape don't look natural. Is your tip upturned and nostrils visible in the front?

Hello everyone!
I am going to Korea next year at the end of May/beginning of June.
The procedures I would like to do are:
Eyes:
Incisional (maybe ptosis) with an in-out fold
Epicanthoplasty
Nose:
Alar Base Reduction
Tip Plasty
Bulbous Nose reduction
After extensive research for two years, I have come down to Teuim (now AT) for eyes and JW for my nose. Does anyone have any opinions, thoughts, or suggestions about these clinics?
Also, the thing I am most concerned about is scarring, especially on my eyes because I am doing the incisional method.
Does anyone have any pictures from after doing incisional?
Are the scars very noticeable?

One month ago I had fat graft on my forehead, temples, cheeks, side of nose and jawline. I had this at JW costing 1.5 million. Fat was taken from the inside thigh area. Today I have 10% of the fat graft remaining. It's all been re absorbed except a very small amount in my upper cheeks and forehead but not enough to make me look any different. I knew when I had this procedure this could happen, some people absorb their own fat graft faster than others and for me it was fast so I won't be doing that again!

Thanks for sharing the information. After reading your experience I don't think I will do fat graft because I really don't want to keep doing it.
