Hi K,
My augmentation wasn't significant. I have not idea the amount in ml/cc but the doc filled just enough to get a raise on my forehead and for the frown line to disappear. I will show you the pictures.
1st & 2nd picture : before surgery (super flat forehead, frown line not obvious though in these
pictures)
3rd & 4th : after forehead fat graft & rhinoplasty (forehead looking shinny from the swelling)
5th picture : forehead touch up & double eyelid 3 mths later
6th & 7th picture : now (somehow the forehead fat graft & rhinoplasty enhanced the features on my face as compared to before..hmm i do not know how to explain it. Everything seems more popped out)
K, maybe you're not used to seeing your forehead now after the heavy swelling the past few days. But don't worry too much. You will soon love it
Hi K Couture,
I did forehead fat graft in nov13 together with rhinoplasty. My intention then was to get rid of the frown line in between my brows and to make my forehead less flat. I asked doc how much fat would he take from my tummy. He said just enough to make my flat forehead round and natural looking. He stressed that it's important not to overfill because the absorption rate for everyone is different. Some more, some less, and some none! He assured me that a touch up is always better than a lipo after.
Anyway, to answer your questions :
1) 1st week : forehead looking shinny because of the swelling
1 mth after : loved my forehead then. Round and nice. No more frown line.
2 mths after : 60-70% left
2) My case : only 50% remained until my touch up 3mths later. Doc said it's best to touch up on the 6th mth because that's when I know for sure where the absorption stops. He said there's no point to keep adding and losing as it's a waste of money. Argh, I didn't want to wait because I hv scheduled to hv my double eyelid done. Might as well do it together to avoid another recovery later.
3) When I got fat graft the first time, forehead felt spongy. After the 2nd time, it doesn't anymore. Can touch my forehead with a little pressure but dare not too hard. Doc said I could but I still wouldnt. better safe than sorry.
4) yes, i noticed dents above my brow line on the 2nd mth. Fat in that area got absorbed faster. Doc taught me to slowly massage from top of my forehead to my brown line. It worked!
It has been 3 mths after the touch up and I don't think I need another one anytime soon. Fat seems to stay this time.
I didnt ask for fat transfer at first. Wanted botox to fix that one obvious frown line only. Doctor suggested fat transfer instead because it will help fix the problem and gives my forehead a fuller look. Not expensive at all. Rm3.8k but he gv me a Rm800 discount as i did rhino (Rm3.5k) the same time. Mind you though..about 30-60% fat will get absorbed. He gv me a touch up for Rm1.5k recently.
Yup, that second picture was taken about 3 weeks after DE surgery.
I dare not exercise too much right now. I had fat transferred to my forehead the same time i had DE surgery. Worry i will lose them all! It will then be a waste of money! Haha!! Btw, i had all my procedures done in kuala lumpur.
I initially wanted medial canthoplasty but doctor said my eyes are a lot closer now after my rhinoplasty surgery. He suggested lateral cantho intead. So i did that and parallel incision DE. Omg..my eyes before surgery were like yours! Heavy lids and tired looking eyes!
Your eyes look beautiful! You mentioned it's a revision. Was your previous surgery via dst or incision? I did my primary double eyelid surgery the same day you did. What a coincidence!
Anyway my crease on both eyes are still a little high. Doctor told me they will be lower in the coming mths. Are your scars recovering well?
I'm so sorry. I should have mentioned earlier that i didn't do my double eyelid at Banobagi. I had mine done in my home country, Malaysia by Dr. Cheong You Wei. The same doctor who did my nose and forehead fat graft 3 mths ago.
I was charged : Double eyelid (RM3K around USD900) and lateral canthoplasty (RM1.5K around USD 450) Pretty reasonable and he is quite a perfectionist too, i think. Took quite a while to measure and stitch my eyes. Also his stitches are very fine. Not obvious at all. I will be seeing him again after 2 weeks for follow up check.
I just thought of sharing my recovery photos so you guys know what to expect. The swelling will take a while to subside.
Hi guys! I just did double eyelid surgery plus lateral canthoplasty at my home country, Malaysia about 13 days ago. These are my before and after pictures.
Btw, i posted on another double eyelid tread. There are more pictures there.
My doctor was Dr. Cheong You Wei (he did my nose and forehead fat graft 3 mths ago)
For this surgery i paid : Blepharoplasty (RM3K), Lateral Canthoplasty (RM1.5K)
Hi!
I will post more pictures shortly. I have average sized eyes but as i aged, my eyes became droopy and i looked tired. I showed doc Dawn Yang's pictures!! Told him i wanted eyes like hers.. hehe!
Hi! I share your thoughts and agree totally. Before this I kept on researching on clinics abroad but after a while I decided not to as I worry the complications later should there be any. Anyway, I found a reliable doc and am now day 11th post blepharoplasty (double eyelid) and lateral canthoplasty. Quite pleased with the outcome so far. There are some swelling still but it's not too bad. Do ask me question if you hv any.
