  1. I was happy with JW post surgery service as pointed out in the earlier posts. Someone pm me just now that she booking surgery with JW as reading my post made her made up her mind to do it there but she is worried about the truth of the scandal.
I would like to clarify that good post surgery is not necessarily equate to excellent results.Everyone has different expectations. I feel JW rhinoplasty is more toward being natural and subtle. It suits some people. And I am not very satisfied with the forehead lift and neck lift. I felt it would be done better if I had done with my surgeon in my own country.

My two friends are finally not going for the consultation at Aone after reading your post here with my translation now. They initially still want the consultation out of curiosity but now think that they shouldn't be wasting their time on such a hypocrite. This is what they got me to convey over here as they don't know English well, they thank you for the review.

  3. I am surprised if JW did such lousy work, and even more surprised if they are not doing anything to remedy if that is what happened as reported.
I and my friend did our surgery in mid June. Their post operation service and care surpassed our expectation.
My friend did 5 procedures, facelift, neck lift, nose, undereye, forehead lift. It all went smoothly but after a few days she developed rashes, the staff arrange her to see doctor even when it was so busy and crowded. The doctor gave her an injection and medications. Then later her eyes got inflamed, they also arranged doctor to examine her eyes and give medication and advise. We are pleased with the attentiveness and care. When I am back, I kakao the consultant, Emily about my pain, she immediately responded and requested me to keep her posted.
Besides, I really doubt how JW can produced this kind of work, everyone looks so good there when I was there. Business was good too.

  4. And read up on all type of facelifts on what they can do for you. A good source is website is realself.com. Don't believe what the consultant tell you. If you read enough, you will be able to tell what they say is true. A Chinese speaking consultant at Dream insisted mini lift can solve my concerns, I know it doesn't. She sounds so convincing and know it all, if I don't know much, I will probably go for mini. Know the cost of each type. Some charge mini at the price of full, and they call it facelift, you get short changed for that.

It's true that Threadlift may not last, for around 2 years then maybe u may consider adding some more threads, but the downtime is minimal compared to facelift.
Facelift has to depend on what kinda of facelift u are doing too. The one they recommended , mini lift, does not last too. Go read about this minimal invasive lift, it sounds too good to be true if it can last as it merely incise and lift a small portion of the face. It is recommended to younger clients who are not ready for a full facelift yet, and eventual you will still need to do a full one. That is why I don't do mini, I rather do Threadlift and other non surgical procedures like FG, RF till I am ready for a full one.
As for mid face, u can do but soon you will get dissatisfied again as it will not address the jowl issue in a few years. My Threadlift is done on mid face and now I need to address my jowl too. To address it, u may need another lift or a full lift.
Sorry am I getting confusing?? What I mean is if u are ready for the long long downtime and willing to take risk on possible nerve damage, go for a full one. Recovery on facelift can be rocky at times, numbness, pains, scars, discomfort can last months even where there is no complications. If not, just do Threadlift every two years and some other minor non invasive one till you are ready.

I didn't do facelift. I went Aone, Dream, April31 and JW, Line ,all except Aone think I needed one. If I will do, I will consider April31. My friend did it in JW. No complications and she is recovering well. Too early to comment as she still having swellings. One thing good is her scars are really fine and neat. But I think scars depends on individual. I did incisions under the chin in the neck to get rid of excess skin like her , with the same doc, hers heal beautifully while mine has some bulging. I think if you are just 45, those doctors will not recommend facelift, they may recommend thread lift, or other non invasive procedures ., .

  7. And Brian of april31 is a nice and patient guy. He is very obliging and attentive and make us feel totally at ease. The consultant is beautiful and she is not pushy. She is able to understand most of our concerns well. That is I said the visit is a delightful experience. My first post seem abit too harsh so I need to clarify april31 is not that bad, I shouldn't give others the wrong impression after the time they spent dedicating to my consultation. I appreciate their time given. Only don't understand why they can spend so much time but yet did not offer much room for price neogtiation.

  8. To be fair, barring the high price, consultation at April31 is most delightful and insightful of all the consultations I went to. The doctors are very patient and detailed in their explanations. The nose doctor is remarkable, he is able to see serious deviation in my septum while my nose actually look perfectly straight. My friend who was with me has a crooked nose and yet he said her case wasn't as serious. True enough, I suffer nose stuffiness all the time as her case was much milder compared to mine. None of the doctors I went to pointed out my problem just by looking at my nose.
The facelift doctor is even cuter, he is so engaging, he took pains explaining why forehead lift was not good enough for my friend and he is very honest to warp her expectation while other doctors never give this true picture. He examined our face very thoroughly and spend a long time with us. We were so impressed. But alas, the pricing is so steep. I would love going there for facelift if my budget allows. I believe they are great doctors.

  9. Hi Gernic

My friend did this procedure but there is no obvious scar at all when her swelling go down one week later, can't see the incisional line too. Bit maybe her incisional lines was masked by her permanent lower eyeliner. In fact, when i looked at her, i was tempted to do it as well but i was told it will not solve my undereye wrinkles. I guess you have to check with the clinic as i dont think its norml to have tiny lumps.

  10. I went April31 in June , their quotation is absurd and totally out of market. I was quote 6 mil for primary rhinoplasty and my friend 13 mil for revision, 9 mil for forehead lift. No doubt their doctors seem good, that why I went back for second consultation, only to offered 1 mil discount from the 15mil quotation for these two procedure. It's a total waste of time for me and them when they quote totally out of market, hope they can be more realistic about their pricing. I did my nose and forehead lift at exactly half the price at JW. I love my nose and Dr Suh did a beautiful job. Brian can be contacted on the website thru the chatbox, ask him for an estimated quote before deciding going to the clinic,I believe most of is have a budget. I just don't want you to waste precious time like what I and my friend went through. If the clinic is out of your budget, look elsewhere, there is no short of good clinic and doctors around.

  11. Hi Mrs King

Thread lift is never a good solution. It looks good in before and after photo because when the model just have it, it can look great. Plus some swelling, the model will look fabulous. I have my honeymoon period too. Take a pic of her two, three years later, then u will know what I mean. I realised I would not go for facial massage, the lifted effect just diminish rapidly. My friend told me even regular jogging has an impact too, that I don't know because I am a lazy bum. I have mine 2 half years ago, I know aging play a part, but to get dissatisfied with my look within a matter of over 2 years is a high price to pay. I take good care if my skin, I expected 5 years as told by doctor, it's pretty disappointing. Now I am considering incision facelift but I am very stressed about this decision as I am afraid of cutting. Maybe last minute I may chicken out and do a power V, Tess lift or whatever.

  12. Hi mimi60

Sorry, I got it all confused after reading so many posts here, there and everywhere in this forum. Never been reading so much postings all my life. Maybe it's me getting old too, I guess ;)
By the way, didn't you ask the doctor how long the power v might last? How long has u been swelling? I have thread lift before, 4 threads on each side of face and the swelling is only 2,3 days so it surprised me that your swelling take quite awhile.

  13. Sorry, press enter by mistake...I mean I bought the harmony set as it caters specifically for pre and post operation. I read zinc is important for pre operation and Arginine and L-Glutamine are great for recovery. You can search internet for what are important supplements for pre and post operation. And it has bromelian which helps deswelling. So it does have almost everything and it save you the problem buying bromelian, zinc and amino acids separately. The other kit does not address the different needs for pre and post operation, just one bottle for AM and another bottle for PM throughout, which I don't understand why it should be packaged that way. I normally don't think highly about house brand, but I think in this case, I will still select makemeheal's harmony kit for the above reason.

  14. Hi BauHausFrau

May I know what are the clinics you looking at for facelift? So far, I only have Dream and Aone in my list, but Aone is really too far from my intended accommodation... Would you give me a tinker what other clinic u look at for facelift and I can start off researching from there? I browse through pages after pages at this forum, very tired out because most posts are about nose, jaw and eyes. Thanks for your help. And I wll be most grateful if anyone can chip in some advise or recommendation for me here.

  15. Oh dear,Mitasharma54 , so sorry to hear that.....
What actually happened? Do you developed complications or infection after surgery or is it that the surgeon did not did it right? Did you get back to plastic surgeon on this? Have you consult any doctor if nerve damage can be treated?

  16. Hi Blackchocolate

I went Youtube and watch Aone 's Dr Kwon on Facelift. Quite informative. Am considering him as he seems skilled in this area. K Coutres mentioned somewhere in forum that she is pretty impressed after seeing a 60 year old patient who got facelift in Dream. I supposed the lack of information or interest in this topic may be because the participants here are all quite young, haha.......maybe they will be thinking of facelift in next 20, 30 years ;)
