  1. I am scheduled for BA surgery and have the option for tear drop or round implants.
I wanted a natural look and was advised of tear drops, however, after thinking about things, my husband and I were planning start a family in a year or two. As a result, I had the following questions:

    1. Will a tear drop implant tend to look saggier/less full AFTER pregnancy/breast feeding since the skin has stretched and become looser? Will it have less full ness/volume on the top since the tear drop naturally is less full on top?

    2. Will having a round implant have MORE fullness on top and below AFTER pregnancy/breast feeding COMPARED to a tear drop? Logically to me this makes sense because the overall shape is the same from top to bottom, so even with sagging at least the top will still have more fullness than it would have compared to a tear drop.

    Let me know your thoughts?

  2. Thanks Mindy for the advice! I am glad to hear this. I'll try to contact them and see how they respond. Hopefully they won't be put off by my English lol:smile:

  3. omg! My girlfriend said that you can "break your knees" to have them insert something to lengthen you. Is this what you're thinking of/ talking about?!

  4. I don't think it's necessarily creasing? I guess it's just more obvious or it doesn't look smooth. Like if you look at Song Hye Kyo (I know it's unfair to compare to her because she's gorgeous, but still!) you will see that when her eyes are closed, the crease is barely there?

  5. Will you be going for surgery too?! If so, what are you looking for?! I'm going March 2016!

  6. I'm also looking for rhino! Can you please share photos of the nose BA if you don't mind? Can also PM me if you feel more comfortable this way!

Can you also let me know why you chose view?

  7. Thanks for sharing this mindy!! It helps and wow, that's a stellar deal on BA!

  8. Thanks! This totally makes sense, but to me it's about a couple thousand difference. In this case if it is for the nose surgery, then it's 700USD vs. 4000+USD quotes that I am getting. This is quite a big difference. In reality, I've also gotten quotes from Los Angeles and most of the quotes were going for 6-7k (primary) which is comparable to some of the pricing that I'm getting in Korea, which I feel is not the norm especially for locals. I am not sure where you had gotten quoted to get a 12k quote in LA :O! Yikes!

Even when I told my Korean (whom is a native, but moved to the states) friend that I went to Korea last year and had my eyes done and I paid 2.1mil krw she was shocked. Her mouth would not close. She did not know that foreigners got charged so much more since she had the same procedure done (and it looks good) for around $500.00

I totally understand the fees that they have to pay to have the consultants, but at the same time, their consultants who work there full-time are probably on a set rate (whether hourly or salary) to be there, which is easily made up by over charging foreigners, but I don't think that they necessarily need to by 3-4 folds to justify the costs. If you think about it, at the rate that they are charging foreigners and for the # of surgeries that they are performing a day multiplied by the increased cost for foreigners they would probably be able to cover the salary of one or two (if not more) translators for a year's worth of salary in one singular month.

At the same time, I also understand where you are coming from, but because your organization acts as the middle man between the clinics and the individual (kind of like DocFinder) the basis of your company does rely on pricing foreigners higher so that you can get paid for your work done and commissioned especially now since the commissions/financial breakdown needs to be disbursed between you and the clinic instead of directly to the clinic (whom will pay for their staff off the "over charged" price they had set). Unless your organization is completely free and the service you provide is completely free then it doesn't make sense to me.

Anyways, this is totally going off a tangent! LOL

  9. Oops ! I had wrote it wrong! YEs, I was aware it would have been equivalent to $700  haha sorry about that but thank you for the correction!

This is good to know and good insight that you've provided.

I actually went ahead and contacted the them to see what their response would be on that.

When I was look for eye surgery for a friend earlier this year, I had also found a deal and I had emailed the clinic asking about the price, but they didn't respond back (ever).

I guess I was just curious to see the reaction and how they would personally counter and justify why they would charge foreigners thousands more. I guess I kind of feel so ripped off. lol

I'll post if I get a response back from Opera regarding this promotion that I found.

  10. Hi Maryanna,
I saw your blog and started researching a little bit more on JW website. I noticed that they had a video of you from their operation and that you're an Australian blogger.

By chance, did you get sponsored for this post and for them to video record your experience there?

The only reason I am asking is that I'm looking to get my nose done and I am trying to find unbiased reviews to rely on for my decision and i noticed that you only joined Sept 2015 with very minimal feedback or interaction..

  11. Has anyone ever experienced a situation where they found like a special promotion that a clinic has for locals for a lot cheaper in price?

Do you know if they would be willing to give you this price despite being a foreigner? or what would happen in this instance if you bring it up to them during a consultation and ask them about it.

I found this recently on Opera for nose and if I am reading it correctly (thanks to google translate) it was 70,000 krw for nose?

  12. omg that's insane. I would have instaneously just said no thank you (kindly).

Do people know whether you can hire one (1) translator to go with 2-3 people during their consultation and just get a flat fee? Like let's say I go and I have 1 other girl with me, can we still have that one translator charge their normal hourly rate? Since we're pre the hour, I assume it should be okay?

  13. Nooooo!!I was hoping it wouldn't be too cold

I'm going the first two weeks of March though. For me last time I brought some cold clothes but feel like I didn't bring enough. I'm from the states (CA) and it doesnt' get THAT cold so I definitely was freezing. One thing that definitely saved my life though were my UGGS. They kept my toes warm. I didn't have gloves and this is one thing I wish I had!

This time around, I think I'll bring gloves+uggs+thicker sweaterjacket/+baseball cap, but I still want to keep things minimal. A thick jacket will already take up so much space.

  14. So I had my DES surgery last year and I love the look of it and it looks great when the eyes are opened. Recently though, I noticed that when I don't have make my eyes look fine in terms of the crease looking soft and natural, but when I have make up on my eyes I tend to notice the crease more and it's not "natural" like "flat" and soft because you can see the actual crease when the eyes are closed?

I'm wondering if this is common for people who get the incisional double eyelid since youre cutting it as a whole, where as partial is just very minimal and more of just a "pinch" where the crease would be created?

Maybe I'm just being too overly picky and unrealistic with my expectations? These photos may not help either as they are darker and unedited. I *do* notice that in brighter light settings it looks softer, but it overall just bothers me that it's not completely smooth like a real double eyelid crease

I attached a photo for reference.

  15. I just started researching on nose surgery so I am just gathering info and pricing and putting it onto a spreadsheet so that I can compare the details. Also, checking the forums regularly too for new reviews of different clinic. One of the ones that I'm now looking into is Trend that another user reviewed and shared photos of

When in March are you going?

  16. Hey! jsut wanted to chime in.

I went Nov 2014 for consultations and Oz was on the list. I decided to check them out for the same reason - cheapest pricing! The consultation was horrible and it really seemed like he would just say anything to get you to do surgery. You can look up my username - I wrote reviews of all the clinics I went to.

Anyways, this is just a note. You can certainly check them out. In fact, I would encourage it because I think it's important to really see the quality between them and other clinics that you go to. My friend was DEAD SET on going there cause of price, but I just thought it was so bad that I even offered to just help her with her surgery cost and she could pay me anything extra over time (no rush). In the end, she realized what a big mistake she would have made.

  17. I'm going March 2016, but I don't want a super high nose bridge. I want something subtle and just slightly higher. I think that you would need to do some kind of implant in order to get a high nose bridge?

  18. Hey Vanilla Creme!
Who did you end up going to have your nose re-done and were you satisfied with the second time around?
I was emailing with Pit- and then started researching on TPF to get a better idea and now I'm all scared!!!

It also annoyed me because they didn't even say Dr. Yoo would perform the surgery, they said,"We have 1 medical director Dr. Yoo who has 30 years of experiences in plastic surgery and 4 specialists with at least 10 years of experiences in plastic surgeries. Depending on patient's interested field of plastic surgery, we will assign the specialist accordingly."

  19. I'm going to Korea March 2016. Looking to get my nose done. Before this my husband and I are doing a pre-wedding kind of video. Anyways, I had asked our wedding video consultant if they had recommendations for nose clinics and they mentioned:

    Reborn Medical Group

I know there are a lot of other well known places that are discussed in the forums (VIP, JW, Grand, Etc), but I've never heard of this place. Does anyone know or have experience with it?

I had told the consultant I wanted a recommendation for a place locals go to and where they dont target foreigners.

Let me know your thoughts! Still researching lots!
