  1. Hey guys, I'm almost 4 months post op and I just wanted to let everyone know I'm still satisfied with my results!

    Some updates~

    Eyes
My eyes pretty much look 100% natural now! The scar also faded away. My eyes were just slightly uneven to begin with so the asymmetry is still there, but not noticeable enough to bug me. My ptosis is also muuuuch better! I'm so glad I don't look super sleepy anymore~ I can see the benefits from the under eye fat removal, but I think I would have achieved better results if I had also gotten fat graft under my eyes to get rid of my dark circles (They asked if I wanted to do it but I said no >.<) Overall, I'm very happy with my results!

    Nose
My nose also looks 100% natural now! Before surgery, I had excess cartilage on my bridge which made it appear as if I had a hump...Now, my nose is straight and hump free~ My tip has gone down a lot since surgery but it's not droopy. I actually don't know if I like my new nose or new eyes better... I'm very happy with both!

edit: WHOA forgot to mention about the scars on my nose! They are barely visible now, and not visible at all when I wear makeup~

edit 2: ALSO!! My mom is really satisfied with her results too! Her face was so swollen, but after 2 months, her face looks natural and youthful. Scars are no longer visible either~

  2. I know we messaged each other through kakao recently, but in case others were wondering, yes I'm happy with my results!

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure peak season is winter/summer...Like Dec-Jan and June-July? I can't remember, but it's whenever Korea students are on break.

No problem! I won't PM pictures, but you can PM me for my kakao ID and I can send you pictures through there!

  3. No problem! Yeah, I'm so happy I had my mom with me (:

    I messaged you!

  4. JW has an English translator, but I only needed him to tell me what prescription my mom needed to get at the pharmacy. Other than that, the surgeons spoke enough English.

I think there are two nose doctors at Dream, but I could be wrong. The one that seems to be popular on here and known to do closed rhino is Dr.Park.

I wouldn't know anything about rib grafts, sorry!

  5. Sorry to hear about your terrible experience. I can't believe some of these clinics!

About the breathing issue- do you have difficulty breathing through your nose or just in general? After I came back to the states, I had difficulty breathing in general so I went to see a doctor. I was given anti-anxiety pills to take for about 2-3 weeks and I feel normal now.

  6. Dr.Choi is the eye surgeon at JW so he didn't touch my nose lol. Dr. Suh is the rhinoplasty specialist at JW. This is the suture technique I was refering to:

By doing that, it made me nose appear less bulbous and fixed the droopiness.

  7. You can possibly try to convince them to open a surgery slot sooner for you? When I went, they were busy so I had to have my eyes done the first day and nose the next day...and I was only in Korea for 8 days :s I don't think it'd hurt consulting with Dr.Suh and trying to convince them to schedule an earlier surgery date since you don't have time. If you really can't wait, then I guess you'll either have to go to another clinic or make another trip to Korea and schedule a surgery date with JW :/

  8. Haha, it was an interesting experience. Before all of this I was so scared what it would be like, but it turned out I was worried over nothing. Not that I'd like to go through all of that again, but it was a pleasant!

Thanks K! You have helped me out from the very beginning and I can't thank you enough!

Yup yup, I was stuck between the two as well! From what i've read, I believe Dream is a very reputable clinic as well.

  9. I made a thread a couple weeks ago about the details of my trip/surgery. You can read it here:

  10. I went to JW last month and got my nose + eyes done. Even during "low" season they were quite busy so I imagine it'd be even more busy during high season. If you just do a walk in without setting up a consultation, you can bet they'll be too busy and you'll most likely have to wait a couple days or possibly a week. I highly suggest setting up a consultation with any clinic at least a month in advance if you can!

  11. I think you should be honest about the whole thing. If you only brought 3.5 million to spend, then show them that. Of course I wouldn't tell them right off the bat before consultation, but it helps to physically show them you only have that amount to spend when discussing pricing. There are a bunch of discussions on here about clinics ripping us off, but some people cheat to get discounts as well. Just be honest.

  12. You're only 2 weeks and 3 days post op! Ive read numerous times that the nose can look more upturned with surgery but will go down over time. Its also normal to have different sized eyes because of swelling, ESPECIALLY at 2 weeks post op. You're still early into recovery! Just give it time~

  13. I'm about 2 weeks post op and never felt that before. I had partial incision and ptosis correction. Is it possible that maybe there are stitches left in your eyes that is causing the pain? I hope you're able to figure out the cause, good luck!

  14. Lol Nilesy, you're gonna get banned if you don't behave (;

  15. Thank you, and no problem~ For my under eyes, they did an incision from the inside by flipping my lids over--so no visible scars or stitches that needed to be taken out! I was under IV Sedation for this so the whole thing felt like it happened quickly, and I only felt pain for a couple minutes when Dr.Kim was stitching up the left side.

Yeah, I had my eye surgery first, then my nose surgery the next day. The only reason I could think of why they did this was because they were busy. There wasn't a factory feel though since Emily was very attentive, even after I came back home to the states she still responds quickly if I have any questions or concerns.

PM me for my kakao ID! It's not the same as my username here.
