  1. Hi K and Davincci,
I'm now 3 weeks post op. just want to update that my surgery went well. most of my bruises were gone before end of second week except one on my nose bridge which was the area where i had extrusion from the previous rib rhino. when my cast was removed on day 4 it revealed a deep bruise. Dr Park checked on me and told me it is ok. and true to his words, the bruise is slowly but surely fading away. i think it should be totally clear in a few more days. so far I'm happy with my new nose. result is natural and subtle yet when i put my before and after pix together, i can a definite improvement. Dr Park is amazing!! i just pray my nose will not change too much as it settles down in the next few months.
thank you both for your posts. i benefitted greatly from your experience. i will remember to prepare dry shampoo for my next ps :P

  2. thanks K. and i now understand what davincci was talking about when she said roller coaster ride. lol. i had the feeling twice. first they had to harvest my septal and ear cartilage plus acculift. after that i was awake waiting for dr park. then again for my rhino. and i must say it was a wonderful ride
so today is post op day 1. last night was quite bad as i couldn't breathe through nose for most part of the night. only towards dawn then my left nostril was clear and i could breathe. today I'm quite swollen around cheeks and eyes. light bruise on cheek which my friend says looked like blusher on photo
bruising under my jawline and chin too from acculift but that's covered my the elastic headband they told me to wear. pain is bearable. just feeling a bit heavy on the nose. bruises under jawline hurts only when i probe.
I'm going Myeongdong later. see if i can manage to walk around a bit.
oh K. did you wash your hair aftet surgery? i was thinking to go to a saloon to get it washed. how did you manage yours?

hi missyjamie. you can kakao me. my id is syxwan. but I'm not comfortable sharing my pic yet. I'll post updates here but if you have specific questions can kakao me.

  3. i just came out actually. drowsy but still can text :P. dr park said he needed septal cartilage to extend my nose a little. if i don't have enough septal he would use tuto. that's how he spelled it. basically a donor cartilage from another cadaver as i understand it. but when he was stitching me up, i asked if he had to use tuto and he said no. he was humming along with the classical music kn the radio. lol

  4. hi K... i finally met dr park yesterday. he's very mild and soft spoken. and yes his english is slow but understandable. so dr park is going to do the same for my nose. replace the rib implant with ultra soft silicon. and use septal (or tuto if i don't have enough septal) and ear cartilage for tiplasty. he said it's won't be a nice or smooth shape if I just do tiplasty. and it will be a closed rhino. waiting for my surgery now.... finger crossed

  5. hi moreen. by sg we mean sliding genioplasty

hi davincci. thanks for the advice. didn't realise i have to lie face down for lipo. I'm thinking of lipo for abdomen. get rid of the nice "present" left behind by my 2 daughters. lol
i actually thot i could do sg and lipo on the same trip since it's different body parts. but you've got a point on body healing for major surgery. I'll make sure to ask both 365mc and ps doc for opinion. thanks. the rest of the op i was thinking they should be done after my sg has settled down.
may i know how much you paid for the nose surgery at dream? i wanna have some bargaining chip.. hehe

  6. Yeah. I think i will have to split up my surgeries. 1 trip for sg and lipo. Another trip for tiplasty, acculift and fat graft. Just that I'm not very sure if i wanna get sg yet. Very concerned with the swelling and potential side effects. How long did you plan your stay in seoul? As in how long do you think you need to stay in seoul for to have all your surgeries and post op reviews etc

  7. hi vanitygirl. I'm planning to go in dec for consult. haven't decided if i will do my surgery at the same time. I'm so scared of the massive swelling everyone says about bone surgery. how did you get your consultation booked?

  8. hi davincci. did you get yours done at Dream as well? may i know roughly how much is it. and how long was the swelling/bruising if there's any. I'm considering the similar procedure. thanks in advance

  9. hi wishingstar, may I know how much did dream charge you for the tiplasty and nose bridge augmentation? I'm considering similar procedure and would be good to know a benchmark price. pls pm me if you prefer.

    how's your nose healing btw?

  10. hi k. thanks for the offer. i've added you on kakao. my id is syxwan.

and thanks for the suggestion for mini lift. I'll go read up more on that. i was actually toying with the idea of cheek implant as i find my cheeks too flat. and hoping at the same time it will provide a bit of lifting. but yet I'm not too keen on having another implant into my face. i have a hard silicone implant in my chin which corrected my weak chin but it left 1 side of my chin with a bit of numbness. lt tingles when i touch it. did you ever have experience with this? i read online that it may never go away. i had my chin surgery about 3-4 yrs ago.

anyway, now I'm contemplating fat graft for my cheeks and tear trough. do you know if it can be done together with acculift? i understand yours was a forehead fat graft which probably doesn't interfere your acculift.

btw, I'm booked for a consultation with Dream for 10-dec. if anyone else is going at the same time, I'll be happy to buddy up

  11. my rhino was done using one of my ribs. there is now an ugly scar right under my breast. unfortunately my boobs are not big enough to cover . but that's the least of my concern.
my nose, although it's already an improvement from my original flat and wide nostril, is not as high as i wish it to be. especially the nose bridge. and my nose tip looks upturned. not to mention there's a scar on my nose! and the skin on my nose bridge is so thin the veins are visible.
I'm hoping dr park can elevate my nose further, especially the bridge. and maybe a tiplasty to improve the shape. not sure if he lengthen my tip a bit to correct the upturn look

  12. Thank K. Appreciate the summary you gave on the 2 procedures. I couldn't find a clinic that provides both procedure to explain to me the differences between them. I spoke and corresponded with this lady at dream but I get the feeling she is quite new. She's friendly and polite but was unsure in her replies. Very different from the response I got from 365mc which I emailed to enquire about lipo. They were really detailed and professional. Impressive.

BTW, can you tell how long was the swelling caused by acculift? Did you get bruising like the other forumers did from power v lift?

I read the conflicting views on the lifting effect too. Well I'm almost 40, I guess I'm old enough to know the baby fat won't go away. And not too old that acculift is not recommended

Did you consider that there might sagging or lose skin after the fats are gone?

  13. hi k.
firstly i wanted to thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge on this forum. think you could probably start a wiki page on ps

just wanted to double check with you on your acculift with Dream. did they suck out the fats? my understanding was acculift only melts the fats and the body expels them over time? power v lift is the one that incorporates the fat removal.

when i emailed Dream, the correspondent replied like this

    quote"
The reason why you could not find*the info of acculift is probably because acculift is pretty*new procedure*and the*clinic's website hasn't*been updaqted a while.*

*As long as I know, V-lift and Acculift are similar procedure with different name.

Acculift, we melt your fat in facial area using laser called accu-sculp and takes them away. Then, the laser stillmulate the derma part to regenerate collagen which lift and tightened the procedured area.

You can get more detailed information when you come in for the consultation meeting our consultant and the surgeon

    " unquote

not sure if i'm confused or she got it mixed up

  14. hi jesssk. i haven't confirm on my dates yet. coz I'm planning a ski trip after my op. i need to tie down my ski dates first then book consultation with the hospitals.
jaw surgery sounds major. i contemplated for a long time but couldnt muster the courage for it. have you heard of everm? i read on this forum that they are quite specialised in that. there was a review by peterpan i think.
