  1. Actually I think dolly eyes are just big, round (wider) eyes. They don't have to have aegyo-sal.

If you want to get rid of under-eye bags, I think the procedure for that is called "fat repositioning". Basically you will go to sleep during the surgery and they will make an incision inside your lower eyelid, near the eyelash line. They will reposition/possibly remove fat to tighten your bags and reduce sagging appearance.

  2. I have not.
Despite the high price and some history of bad reviews, I'm considering Cinderella because compared to other doctors he demonstrated the best looking eyelid crease. The other doctors shaped my eyelid multiple times but not one really got a shape that looked really nice. The chief doctor at Cindy got it right in just the first few times. The things holding me back at this point are the steep price of 4 mil, the few bad reviews, and how pushy Jacob, the english translator was.

My other choice is girin. I'm skeptical about their claims about having a "special technique" doing lateral unlike other clinics. I feel like it may just be a marketing gimmick. Their consultation was long however it was very informative and made me feel confident in their lateral surgery. Lateral seems to be one of the trickier eye surgeries but at the same time eye surgery in general compared to other stuff like rhino, facial contouring, etc. is basic and should be an easier surgery. (Backing this part up with the fact that I stopped in a korean pharmacy with a friend after consultations to buy some stuff and decided to ask the pharmacist if she knew of or could reccommend any clinics for eyes. She mentioned Dream but wasn't sure and said that eye surgery was one of most basic and easier surgeries etc. etc....... Yeah, it was extremely random but what did we have to lose at this point? Where else can you run into another decent english speaker with medical knowledge to give us an unbiased opinion...)

  3. I'm in Seoul right now and have consulted Ruby, Baum, TLPS, View, Cinderella.
I'll make a post on how each went later but for now, all the clinic consulting has got my head so jumbled up.

Could anyone suggest me clinics that do nice dolly style eyes? I plan to see girin, secret, and dream tommorow.

All clinic doctors say I need incisional DES with ptosis as I rely on my forehead muscles to open eyelid and epicanthoplasty fror enlargement.

Ruby and Cinderella says I need lateral because my eye width is short while others say I don't need it. When I asked why, TLPS pretty much said that lateral isn't worth it because the change is too little and will close up over time. This contradicted Ruby who said it would not close up and would be permanent. (Ruby also suggested me to do lateral hotz, the only clinic to suggest hotz)

View said that my brow bone or muscle was not long enough and therefore I don't need it. I tried to have that explained because it doesn't really make sense if I'm getting ptosis to stop my eyelid muscles from relying on the forehead then how should that affect lateral canthoplasty? But he only reiterated the "short brow" reasoning and it wasn't really getting anywhere so I dropped it.

Personally, I feel like I would look better with lateral bc, the right side of my eye for sure has less white than the right but I'm no surgeon so these contradictions are throwing me off. The outer corners of my eye are also a tad high and my eyes are much shorter compared to most people.

Baum was just confusing. The english translator was not in so we just relied on the doctor's english skill which was alright. Not terrible, good enough to communicate most stuff. The Baum doctor only suggested me to get DES and ptosis the whole time but later near the end when I mentioned if I needed epi or lateral he said okay I could get it... but never brought it up himself. I'm guessing this is because Baum is more for natural look(?).

  4. Hey Muji,
I will also be going around that time for eyes and maybe nose too. Maybe we can chat?
I'm doing consultation during the last few days of dec and hopefully getting the surgery done by the first two weeks of Jan. Basically, whatever is the earliest date they can give me is the best.

Anyone else going around this time want to discuss about surgery are welcome too!

  5. Hmm.. Thanks, I will try checking that out.. though I feel like the only common stuff every single darned one will share are fundamental ingredients... But we'll see!! Do you think you can tell me what ingredient your friend is allergic too so I can keep a special eye out for it?

  6. I'm thinking of doing skin care and maybe hair removal in korea but I just have no idea about any of it.... Never did any of this kind of stuff before even in California so not sure if Seoul is cheaper? It's just appealing to me because the really ulzzang styled korean girls I see in the States have such beautiful skin.

My skin really isn't bad or oily. I only get the occasional 3-5 pimples on my forehead/t-zone every few weeks... never on my cheeks. However it's strange because my skin doesn't really like any facial products save for sekkisei toner, skinfood black sugar mask, and oddly cetaphil lotion (drugstore brand you can use for all over body so it's really wtf). All used separately.

I've tried switching to the korean 5 step skin routine many times, but it just makes me break out so much more than normal ugh.. so I revert back to my usual: wash face in the morning and during shower, dabbing what's remaining on hands from applying lotion to body to face which keeps me in pretty good shape. Everything I've tried makes me break out :\that's why I'm a little scared of having even a facial done because idk how I'll react. I'm not even oily skin so it's just frustrating...

My skin's forever stuck at decent with a few pimples and I really wanna know how to get pearly glowing perfect skin ughhhh....

  7. Helpful post! I've searched and read at least 10+ different blogger posts on surgery clinics before scouring purseforum but I can't seem to expand any further for information. Will try soyoung with the help of google translate if there are reviews with photos there too.

I'm also really freaked out about the translator scam to the point where I just don't feel like I can trust anyone but at the same time, I'm afraid I will lack the power to push to have my surgery as early as possible while still being able to bargain hard with clinics.

I'm for sure planning to get double eyelids and perhaps epicanthoplasty or lateral too depending on doctor suggestions this Jan '16. Also thinking about doing nose tip and bridge heightening too if I can get a really good deal. The clinics I'm looking at so far that seem to have positive reviews are Cinderella, View, Girin, Dream, Regen, Yonsei First. Not sure what else is rave about enough to consider also.... Would really appreciate any help and especially tips on clinics and bargaining, etc.
