  1. Good rhinoplasty is quite vague as everyone's expectations of a beautiful nose is different. Some like it sexy with a longer and sharper nose, where as some like it a little perky and cute. I suggest you check out as many nose specialties as possible. Their online B&A pics are a reasonable gauge but do note that everyone has a different kind of face structure so just use it as a guide and trust your gut feel. Remember to always be conservative. Surgery is permanent.

  2. Yes unfortunately so. The surgery forms will also be in Korean and all pre and post surgery will only be assisted in Korean. Unless you get lucky with an English speaking doctor, don't expect prompt replies if you are going to a clinic without translators. What you can try to do is to ask for some discounts if you are taking multiple surgeries!

  3. I'd say the boobs first then FC and rhino a week after once you are settled on your body healing. Its easier coping with a tight chest than a bandaged face where you can't eat and see properly! Only thing to note is that you will be under long anesthesia twice so make sure your clinics know your plan.

  4. Normally for facial features (eye nose fat graft facial contouring), it is better at one clinic so the doctors can balance out the facial harmony. They usually work in a close team. I would not choose a one doctor clinic for multiple surgeries personally. But you can go for liposuction in one clinic and another surgeon specializing in the face. Also, you can bargain for a package when it comes to a few surgeries. As mentioned by @pssk029, foreigners should bargain because it is a different charge from the locals and unfortunately the Korean Law allows for it.

  5. Jan is a pretty busy season for the locals. Feb / Mar might be a better time to squeeze a little deal. ( depends on clinics ) Generally bigger clinics can cope with more clients all year through as they have more staffs and doctors.

  6. Apparently Dr Lee from Area is a very specialized face lift surgeon with over 15 years of experience. Maybe his consultants get good incentives which might probably explain their high prices ?

  7. Yes very close according to my research:
Normally the age are dependant on the type of anesthesia given.
Double eyelids (non incision- based on local anesthesia) : 13-14 years old are possible but its more of the post surgery trauma a young person has to deal with. Incision , they might have to go about 16-17 years old.

Rhinoplasty (with sedation ) : Most clinics would recommend over 16-17 years old for that. If osteotomy, hump removals are needed then likely it may go over 18-19 years as a deeper sedation may be required.

General Anesthesia required surgeries like Breast, Lipo, Facial contouring are usually highly recommended after 19-20 years as their bodies may still be growing.

  8. Wow I love your detailed posts!
So glad it all worked out smoothly for you.. Seems like you've got good prices and good clinic services ..;)

I'm not promoting third party services but I've seen Real People benefiting from them. At least these third party agents are legal (first check their business license) and offer a Real Service. So it all depends on what you are comfortable with .

For me what's worse is that you think you are going alone but actually you are already booked under a "friend". That sort of feeling would be more betrayal. Btw , clinic consultants do get incentives too .. so going alone doesn't necessarily mean one would pay less .

  9. I know the in house consultants do get their share of incentives anyway. We just don't know the exact details because every clinic is an individual company that works independently. But everyone has their own preferences on the services received and their own budget. Some agencies work well for others while some just prefer on their own .

  10. Yea my friend went with Misooda for a clinic named Pretty Body and TL , they also got better prices from Misooda too!! No consultant was there though as they did mention that the clinic will provide all translations and services. From my understanding, Misooda consultant assists in clinics without English translators or perhaps there's a minimum spending required?

  11. I think they are models and special cases without translator help? Cos I see model posts on their Instagram at times and I suppose there should be a consultant / rep present right ?

  12. @sunnysnow Hey you can try to add some dis-solvable fillers first to see if you like the effect of adding fat back in.
Fillers don't last long (especially the Hyaluronic acid ones) and if you kinda still like that chubby cute look, you can possibly consider another fat grafting once you have saved enough? People age and expectations change..I'm sure you will find a way to improve... *hugs*

  13. Hi @Ava! Ooops! I haven't been checking PF since I travel quite quite a bit. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences at some clinics! Where did you have it done in the end? I hope you got a good price! Wow 5 million for eyes and nose at View is really really good! I am surprised that their English speaker was unfriendly! I read on some posts that people were commenting some good reviews about them? Most medium big clinics are pretty all right but ultimately I think the doctor's attitude and skills are more important. Hope you are recovering well!

  14. Hi @Ava, I would like to share some thoughts on my research done after accompanying many friends doing their procedures. Incision double eyelids revision should be estimated 2.5 - 3.5 million KRW. Depending if you need ptosis or not.Primary basic rhinoplasty using silicon including tip plasty should be roughly 3.5-4.5 million KRW. Your quotes should be around 8-9 million ish. That case, your 11 million quotation is a wee little high but not extremely overpriced cos the clinics you selected are more premium. Normally u pay a little more if you require osteotomy or bulbous nose reduction or alars reduction. However having said that, there's no fixed price for cosmetic surgery since its a case by case customized procedure. You may try and negotiate with the clinics using some of these tips:
    - Come in a less busy period where its non winter and summer school vacations
    - Ask if there are cash discounts
    - Offer to be a clinic model / write reviews
    - Offer to pay a deposit if the clinic can give you the price you want

A note when negotiating is that these consultants are normally experienced and they know if you are sincere in the bargaining. No consultant will give you a hefty discount if they don't benefit from having a confirmed sale  Wish you all the best on your surgery!

  15. Hi Jojoyes, with 5/6 procedures, I think you can at least go for at least 20% discount. There is also tax refund until April 2017. Depends if the 5/6 procedures are not just lateral, epi, double eyelids, eyebags, nose, fat grafting of which the eye surgery already takes up over 50% of the procedures. With bone/ lifting surgeries, normally u can bargain for a bit more as @CallieCat mentioned. Your bargaining skills must be good and you should also know how low to go because you don't want to offend the clinics when its your Face!

  16. 8.3 mil for Zygoma alone is on the high side. Namu clinic has 4 plastic surgeons so you need to be sure which is your contouring doctor.
Banobagi has always been reputable but then again know which doctor is performing on you. What I gathered from the Line is that they have been restructuring since 1-2 years back so a couple of their doctors are newer joinees. A good price estimate for zygoma is be about 5.5-6.5 mil. Hope that helps!

  17. @OhBlackrabbit : From April 2016-2017, the Korean government made cosmetic surgery tax refundable. The plan is tentatively for 1 year, hoping to attract more foreigners over to Korea. I've read that some surgeries are not claimable like revision surgeries but generally most can tax refund. However, u should ask if the prices are inclusive of tax or not. If not inclusive, you will need to add 10% on top of the given prices then you tax refund it at the airport.
Normal primary nose surgeries are from 3.2 mil - 4.6 mil after some discounts but it all depends on what kind of nose you have and the doctor you choose. Revision surgeries can go 2-3 times more on a case by case basis. One Korean friend ever paid 6.5-7 mil for a primary rhinoplasty because she used rib cartilage I remembered.
I don't usually like to recommend any particular clinic since everyone has different needs but those you mentioned above have reputable senior doctors for rhinoplasty and contouring. If you have other clinics you are keen, I can help ask around my medical networks in Korea.
