  1. Seoul is pretty safe, I just got back from there and I bought all cash with me as well. One thing about Seoul which was terrible but was getting through customs check at the airport, I've traveled to other cities and countires before and this was the worse, the waiting was more than an hr long omg and so hot and sweaty. No wonder why the Koreans rush real quick after the plane lands, everyone in the world rushes after landing but this was different because they knew what was expected.

Reason I'm telling you this is because you said your flight was late at night, I was so lucky I caught the very last bus just minutes before they were leaving. But if you get out of customs and claim baggage after 11pm you will need to take a taxi or train. And don't worry, I was panicking as well since I had never been there but i got use to everything afterwards

  2. I did mine just a month ago, i got quoted 4.7 mill but I'm sure you can get it cheaper since mine was revision. They are more expensive than other clinics for sure but their service is nice and good as well, they gave me injections in my eyes to reduce swelling, many other clinics will just tell you to wait for it to go down and be patient but that can take so long.

  3. Hi, I have kakao account but i haven't created an ID yet lol i know its weird but all the names I wanted was taken so i had no idea what user to use, usually i just add other people instead.

Alice Kakao? Sorry i wouldn't know.

Its been 2 weeks post op now, so far so good. Last week i hated it but swelling gone down more now and proper shape is finally slowly showing. Right eye just more swollen than left so everyday I still apply ice pack on it.

  4. Hi, I'm staying in Korea right now. Just did my revision double eyelid surgery with Dr Kwon a week ago and still healing. I'm staying at an AirBnB right now in Gangnam, i didn't ask the host if she could pick me up but i think it's good if you ask them before you confirming staying there to see if they agree or not. I would also suggest to offer money as well out of courtesy, of course I'm sure you're wanting to save money that's why you want to find out if they can pick you up. But if you're not a local trust me it would be nice to have someone pick you up holding a sign with your name rather than being lost and confused looking for taxi or bus even if you have to pay them since they're going out of their way to help. From Incheon Airport to Gangnam is around $80 - $100 USD taxi so you should offer that amount. Or take a bus which is what I did, if you decide to stay in Gangnam I can help direct you which bus to take but if another location sorry unfortunately i wouldn't have a clue. Bus was 15,000KRW so about $12USD, much cheaper. Any questions just ask  I know travelling alone can be scary.

  5. Hi, surgery was good, painful at the end because it was a long surgery as it was a revision and the anesthesia or whatever was wearing off. So i did revision on eyelids, lowered the crease as previous was way too high, and did epi as well.

I would recommend him, because I've been through a terrible experience in the past and heard so many botched stories as well even in Korea. You really need to do your research before deciding on a doctor which is what I failed to do the first time round over a year ago. I still have swelling but I can show you the pictures right after surgery, or if you can wait i'll show you more recent photos as swelling goes down more.

Have you left for Seoul or not yet? If you are unsure about Teuim just have a consultation with them first and other clinics before making your decision. I liked Dr Kwons presence the first time I talked to him, made me feel comfortable and believe he would do his best. Go with your gut feeling when talking to different doctors and make sure to keep researching. If you have Kaokao you can give me your user and I'll add you, anyone else who wants to ask me anything can do the same as well and I'll add.

  6. Woops I just about to add you on Kaokao but just realised today is the 29th already so you're probably on your way back home or maybe soon in a few hours. I don't check the forums as much anymore. I did my eyes with Dr Kwon just a week ago, going to take my stitches out in 2 days. I'm guessing you already had your surgery done. Hope it wen't well for you, i still have a lot of deswelling to do and got bruised eye still.

  7. Okay thank you very much for your support and kind words. I am planning to still go see them along with other clinics as well for consultations. I am still confused and stressed out but hopefully all goes well.

  8. Hi Pika,

I was originally planning to go to Banobagi for a revision, but after reading your review I am terrified now. I don't even know what to do since I have already booked my tickets, now I am panicking and trying my best to look at other clinics for back up and have a consultation with them. I was wondering if you could share with me your before and after pictures of your eyes on a chat app, you don't need to show your face if you don't want.

I also want to let you know I sincerely feel your pain, since I've had surgery before I have become depressed and incredibly upset about my new appearance which is why I was planning to go to Korea, hoping this would fix everything. After reading so many mixed reviews I am just speechless and shocked, this really is a gamble I have to take. I am travelling there next month and leaving in March. I also hope everything works out for you as well, people don't deserve to go through this kind of emotional pain.

  9. Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum, I am planning to go to Banobagi for a consultation. I am now terrified after reading some mixed reviews and feel like I can't do much as I have already booked my flights. I'm thinking of having consultations at different clinics at least for a back up now.

Is anyone living in Korea or know how to speak Korean and find out whats the average price for a eyelid revision and ptosis correction for locals, if anyone can help oh my goodness thank you so much. I would especially like to find out for that specific clinic as well.
