  1. Hey there waterheart, I'm sorry to hear you are concerned! 1.5 months is still considered fairly early after rhino and your swelling is nowhere near dissipated, so please don't panic just yet! Your consultant is right, more time is needed before you make a definite assessment. Give your nose another 1.5-2 months to see if the issue resolves on its own, if it doesn't then you should begin thinking about contacting your consultant/surgeon again as it's not uncommon for silicone implants to become visible over time. This is because as they exert pressure on the skin, the skin begins to thin. If your skin is a bit thin, your implant isn't a great fit/placed too high then the implant can begin to show once swelling begins to go down.

I really hope it is just a matter of swelling and that all works out well for you. Good luck and let us know how you get on and if you need someone to talk to

  2. In case anyone is still interested in Wannabe, just letting you all know that Dr. Ryoo (primary eye surgeon) has left. I went onto their Facebook page and website yesterday to get directions (leaving for Korea in about 2 weeks), and noticed that Dr. Ryoo was no longer in their Facebook profile photo and that they had removed Dr. Ryoo from their 'Our Doctors' page on their website.

Bit of a bummer for me as I wanted to have dark circle surgery with him specifically; I don't know if I trust the other 2 doctors there who came from GRAND. Oh well! Good luck everybody!

  3. If you have a gut feeling that something is 'off' or not as it should be, then you really should trust your instinct! If there is one thing people have repeatedly said on this forum it's that trusting their gut was the best decision for them. There are many instances that you can search on here where people have said "I wish I trusted my instinct" or "I wish I didn't mistake my gut feeling for nerves".

Ultimately it is up to you, but if you've already read a bunch of bad reviews and have a gut feeling that something is wrong than you ought to keep that in mind

  4. hey crandon, yeah I finally managed to narrow down a list of 3. Originally I had consulations lined up for Jayjun, ITEM, COOKI and iWell. I did some digging and found out that Jayjun had a death earlier this year so I crossed them off immediately and I also found iWell had a negative review or 2 so I crossed them off as well. My new revised consultation list is Wannabe, ITEM and COOKI, I'm not going to add anymore as I know I'll be too tired after 3 consultations in a day  hope that helps!

  5. Hey there, just don't do either of them, run far away from them both. Read and then re-read what the majority of people on this forum have to say about those types of medical tourism groups; they're a waste of money. With a bit of perseverance in research and getting in contact with clinics yourself, you will be much better off (financially and emotionally).

Seoul is easy enough to navigate, there is no shortage of accomodation options and the public transportation system is ace, there is honestly no need to utilise services like Docfinder or Seoul Touchup that end up just being an unwanted pain. Good luck, you can def do it by yourself!!

  6. Hey there. There are a few clinics that 'specialise' in rhinoplasty or rather, have doctors who specialise in rhinoplasty. I'll just give you this list of English websites to begin with and hopefully that jump starts your research a bit more

JW: http://www.jwbeauty.net/eng/index.jsp - Dr. Suh is the rhino specialist and speaks highly proficient English, plenty of good reviews about people's experiences overall, including their results.

MVP: http://www.mvpps.com/main/main.asp -A lot of people have recently starting going here and have good reviews about their experiences and results. Apparently Ellen (the English consultant) is lovely.

April 31: http://april31.com/en/ - This clinic really is the rhino specialists. Search and you will find many good reviews about people's experiences. Caution: The prices for this place are apparently through the roof, it may be overkill going here if it's your primary (first) rhino.

ITEM: http://itemcliniceng.com - While there aren't too many reviews avaliable, the people who have gone have primarily done rhino and seem to be quite pleased. K-Cotoure's friends went there for their rhinos and there were no qualms there.

    Good luck and keep researching!

  7. hey there. to answer all your questions:
    1. Yes, this is standard practice in 'big' clinics in Korea (ID, JW, ITEM etc). I would personally advise against this unless you are 100% certain that The Line is where you want to go. Otherwise just tell them that'd you'd like to book a consultation instead, which they will no doubt reply back with "we cannot guarantee that we will be able to reserve a spot for your surgery if you only book a consultation". It's the same reply I got back from ITEM when I said I wasn't going to pay the $500 deposit to reserve a "spot". I just wanted a consultation anyway!

    2. Most korean websites/companies use Naver email services. It's not uncommon practice at all, it's Korea's answer to gmail. They probably didn't want to pay for their own email server that's all

    3. At the bottom of their page they have various numbers you can call depending on your chatting application (i.e. you can choose from their main number, whatsapp number, kakao talk number and viber number). if you have difficulty getting through their main number, try their kakao talk number.

    4. Korean PS websites for their English-speaking audiences are like a broken, internet paradise. Bad engrish, plain and not up to date/no-where links are the norm so don't worry! Most PS websites in Korean (this is the key) are well maintained, regularly updated and generally look much flashier than their English counterpart. You are communicating with the 'real' The LINE clinic. They have their own YT channel you can look up and watch videos of if you want peace of mind!

    good luck!

  8. Hey, to answer your question its best to know whether you are going the incision or non-incision route? If non-incision, it 'should' be enough time, if you are going for the partial or full incisional method, you might be cutting it fine. Stitches are generally taken out after 5-7 days. hope that helps

  9. That looks like Pinguecula to me. It is normal and can occur when there are changes to the conjunctiva (I.e. surgery). It's worth visiting your doctor over so they can give you ointment or eyedrops if your eye is causing you discomfort or is inflamed.

    More info: http://www.healthline.com/health/pinguecula#Overview1

    Good luck!

  10. Much like how a scab forms on a grazed knee or any cut, scabbing is a completely normal and integral part of the healing process. It is your body's way of naturally 'closing' the incision area so that no outside infections may seep through. This is why it's important to leave scabs alone, so that the cut underneath the scab can heal properly  good luck!

  11. I forgot to mention ayupop; stay well away from Grand and Pitangui as well. Grand have had their fair share of terrible outcomes, their head doctor is completely arrogant and 1 patient fell into a coma, followed by death: http://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/news/article/article.aspx?aid=2987747

I implore you to look at the Pitangui thread here as well from about p.45 onwards, they don't exactly have glowing reviews despite them touting their 'specialists in eye surgery' status. Read Vanillacreme's experience on p. 45 and other people's bad experiences with them start to be revealed from p. 46 onwards.

  12. hey Ayupop, while I personally don't know what any of those clinics are like, I cannot stress enough that you steer clear of ID. There are plenty of negative experiences about ID hospital here on PF and a handful on realself. One example for you: https://www.realself.com/review/hospital-south-korea-gangnam-district-orthognathic-surgery-korea-hospital

I would also recommend that you avoid Wonjin too, the negative reviews outweigh the positive experiences. I myself am heading to Seoul in September for eye bag fat repositioning so I've been looking at clinics that specialise in the eye area as well. I've got consultations lined up with Jayjun, Cooki, ITEM and iWell. Wannabe is another clinic that is worth trying to get in contact with! Late last year I was able to get in contact with them but I've noticed that since the beginning of this year they have stopped responding to all the 'online consultations' on their English website  good luck

  13. hey there, I think slight oil secretion or "wetness" is to be expected on an incision site/wound area and it should be nothing to be alarmed over  Your body probably recognises that its undergone some form of 'trauma' therefore it is probably over-compensating by producing a slightly excessive amount of oil. At 1.5 weeks your incision is still fairly fresh, hopefully you should see a reduction in oil-secretion from the incision site at about the 3-4 week mark. Hope that helps!

  14. probs the most honest review on here about Banobagi, thanks for your review! glad to hear your surgery was a success and that you're happy. good luck with the last leg of recovery

  15. hey mircochip, was reading through a bunch of antiquated forum threads and came across 'COOKI Plastic Surgery'. Couldn't find any reviews on them but it looks like a 2 man band (two surgeons). One of the surgeons seems to be a board certified ophthalmologist and is a member of the 'Korean Society of Opthamalic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery'.

Not sure if you are looking at getting your eyes done but it might be another clinic to consider? I booked a consultation with them for September along with Jayjun and ITEM, let you know how it goes I guess! Oh yeah, their link is here: http://www.cookips.com/eng/ Hope that helps, good luck!
