I got mine through the intraoral method with Dr. Seo at MVP. I didn't consult in North America so I can't compare, but I got the common silicone shape to add projection, not the type with "wings" to add width. Recovery was kind of annoying but it was fast, and not painful. The only annoying thing is that 4 months later, I can still feel a bit of tightness in my chin. I've heard this is very common and will gradually go away with time. It looks great.
keep in mind when clinics start advertising heavily to foreigners it's usually because their reputation among locals has gotten very bad and not salvageable.
i was botched at Braun in 2014, during their hey day when the waiting room was full of locals and Chinese. there have also been a few threads on here of others being botched at Braun but have been removed. proceed at your own risk.
Oh come on, it's so rude to say stuff like this to people after they've already had their surgery.
She looks really good now and the surgery is a success.
Damn, that sucks. I wonder if this is a case of ghost doctor since Dr. Kim seems to be the head doctor and also the rhinoplasty specialist. Regardless, the after treatment is not professional.
Your only strategy is to get a better quote elsewhere, at another hospital that you like equally as much, and asking them to match it.
They know all the strategies that get talked about here because they monitor this board, lol.
I just want to say, facial contouring is a major surgery. If you're going to go through with it, please make sure to also invest in the time to do research and in-person consultations. Do a search on this forum. Ask for B&A photos from Opera. Look at B&A photos posted here from other places. Don't let time constrain you into making a big mistake that you'll regret for the rest of your life. We see a lot of that here.
Assuming an English-speaking doctor is a priority for you.
I highly recommend Dr. Moon at Yeinskin. She speaks fluent English and is patient and will listen to you: http://yeinskin-sl.com/
If you need a quick touch-up or procedure for cheap (Botox, fillers, laser) there is also Tox n' Fill. The Gangnam head branch has English speaking staff: http://www.toxnfill1.com/
I also had a really negative experience at a hospital here but I won't name them yet, as I'm still deciding on what action to take.
even among Korean doctors you'll find a a lot of variation. some doctors do high, straight noses. some specialize in the "Gangnam" nose (pinched tip & slightly upturned). some will only do natural.
most doctors will say they can do the style you want, but it's the before & afters you want to see to be sure.
I think all four have good reputations on this forum. If I were you, I would make my decision based on the doctor's before & afters and whether your ideal aligns with his style.
Please consult at a few more places, and do not let price be the sole deciding factor. Do a quick search on this forum. ID & Banobagi are both "blacklisted" for having too many botched surgeries. People do recommend The Face Dental, but there are other clinics as well.
You have the nose that a lot of people want! it's gorgeous. the eyes will go down a lot over the next six months. don't worry. even if you don't like the final result you can get revision to make the crease lower.
non-incisional + ptosis correction is what you want. the crease will be small and hidden, but your eyes will be big because the muscles get pulled up. a lot of Korean guys get it.
