I can't speak for your surgeon's recommendations, but I quit 24hrs before my lipo last May xD (I started smoking again after a week lol)
I'll be going mid Nov for breast augmentation, possibly rhino and more lipo. So far the doctors I've met have told me to quit for a month
or at the very least 3 weeks. Either way, the longer you stop smoking is the way to go to avoid complications and promote better healing

If you've booked a surgery slot I don't think it matters, just that Dec is peak season, so clinics will be very busy.
Have you asked your doctor whether it's okay to proceed with the surgery?

I am leaning a lot more to NOT using DF's services since I think I will only get non-incisional DES. Will decide on epicanthoplasty and ptosis correction again when I see the doctor. People who are looking to get more procedures done may choose to go with DF since you may need to have somebody helping you out after all that ops. Think I should be able to take care of myself since it's only one minor(?) procedure so I should be dropping DF.

Anybody been to Teuim or have consulted them? How is it? Heard they are one of the "to-go" for double eyelid surgeries. Gonna consult them too!

Anyway, wanna share something!

I was in Seoul for 2 years ago on exchange. My mum did some procedures when she came over to visit me. I am not sure of some of the technical terms but I will try to explain the ones she got. It was a total of 7 procedures. She had her double eyelids revised (she did hers like, probably 25 years ago in SG), "adjustment of lower lash line", a facelift, neck lift, "double chin removal", forehead augmentation and rhinoplasty done at Delightful Aesthetics Plastic Surgery Clinic (DAPRS or DA). I was not with her most of the time since I had school to attend but my sister was with her so she's taken care of.

She chose DA because a few of my aunts' friends did their procedures there and they recommended the clinic to my mother. Seeing their results for herself, she also decided on DA. She went to the clinic straight for consultations and they booked for surgery. My mum had no agents with her, only my sister was with her. DA had in-house Chinese translator so communications was pretty much covered.

However, DA was a decision she came to regret a little. I would say that her results are not very satisfactory but it's not thaaaat bad. Plus, she does not want to do any more procedures. She kinda "accepted" it in a way now, since everything has pretty much settled in. She still has some scarring near her ears and under her chin(?) from the facelift/double chin removal procedure. Her double eyelid revision - I don't know how to put it but it made her look fiercer and it is more asymmetrical than it was before. She also had numbing on her scalp for close to a year before it went away.

My mum commented that the clinic was "very careless" with how they treated her post-ops before she moved back to the hotel. That was before my sister got to see her after the op. The nurses did not cover her with a blanket in the recovery room and she was freezing the whole night. She could not move around too well after the op so she just waited till the morning... :'( She also revealed that she was in so much pain with nobody to call out to that she was crying... In my mother's words, "like as if they left me to die there, don't know when tomorrow will come".

Not only the procedures were not up to expectations and had crappy post-op care before she checked out, she paid almost $26,000USD!!! Yup, they charged her in USD. I did not know about this until it was all over. My only reaction was H--YSH--F--- WHAT THE FLYING ---- ASDFGHJKL!!!! I was not familiar with how all that foreigner pricing worked at that time and my mother honestly just went with good faith (LOL - since now I know a lot more of this whole cosmetic surgery thing).

My mum did comment that the doctor was quite a nice person though. He explained things and did not brush her off when she asked questions. She also agreed that the translator was a a very helpful and checks in on my mum when she can! She remembered her as "Miss Kim". I met Miss Kim once or twice while getting medication and some other info for my mum and she did come across as approachable and patient!

But the results of her surgery... Hmm..........

TL;DR - DA botched up a little, my mum still has scarring from the surgery (that was 2 years ago), post-op care in the clinic was slipshod, my mum paid $26K USD.

Thinking back, it's really a bad decision not doing her "homework" but I mean, it's not like I can change history now...
So if you're NOT using an agent, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH DOUBLE AND READ UP BEFORE YOU GO AHEAD, especially if you're doing a few procedures at one go!

I do have a general bad impression of DA now but that's just my personal opinion. Just thought I should share this on forum.

Omg I can't believe DA botched your mom's $26k surgeries!! I hope her scars aren't too visible >_<
We really do need to be more cautious before making any commitments with any of these clinics!

Thanks for sharing this; I made an appointment for a consultation with DA, now I'm not so sure. Seems like every clinic has horror stories and there's none without at least one T_T

I only ever reach a recorded message saying the phone is disconnected because it is not business hours. I have called numerous times during business hours (based on local Seoul time). Has anyone spoken with the hospital directly? What is the phone number to reach them?

4. Another concern is that on the web page http://thelineclinic.com, at the bottom there are three links for Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Legal Notice. None of these links goes anyplace. They only take me back to the same page. This seems very suspicious to me. Am I looking a the actual website for this clinic or is there a different web address for the real web site?

Thank you in advance for your help.Contacting and All of these items together are causing me to consider if I am actually communicating with the real hospital. If anyone has had dealings with this hospital and experienced the same thing (payed deposit to this email address through PayPal and then traveled there to complete the surgery), I would love to hear your experiences. I just want to validate that I am sending the money to the right place and that I am actually scheduling surgery at the hospital.

I haven't personally done anything with The Line, but my older sister did lipo with them last month. She didn't pay for a deposit, as we have an aunt who recently became an agent for The Line. I asked my aunt about the $500 fee, and she did say that it is real. (To me they're more concerned with making sure you make a commitment so you can't back out -that's why I chose to not go with them)

If you'd like, my aunt can help you (assuming your country does not have a rep, and Eu is just the general manager) with the process. I can give you her e-mail via pm.

But honestly, you should look into other clinics, don't rush your decisions before actually meeting the person who's going to cut into you lol

Yeah, I got my quotes! And I asked for other procedures and got them as well. I posted them on the 'Post prices of Korean clinics here' thread. I do have rates for Fresh, Dream and DA as well, let me know if you want them ;D (and which procedures).

I've heard of people posting about the 'bounce back' e-mails, but I've never had that problem. Jennifer usually asks how I am, etc.

I too have had the same dilemma. I'll be going next month and like you, got the same response from DocFinder (except I want liposuction, so they offered 365MC as well). After reading a lot of posts about people's experience with DF, I've chosen to go without them. I think it's imperative to meet with different surgeons before deciding who you're comfortable with. It just seems that services like DF just takes advantage of impatient patients to maximize profit. I'm not 100% sure why they keep offering the same clinics, but I'm assuming it's just because those are the only clinics they're affiliated with. It's a little strange; the 5 clinics are big enough to have their own translators; it would've made more sense if DF partnered with smaller clinics.

As for the price, they do charge 2 or 3x higher than the regular price Koreans are charged. You could try bargaining when you're there (knowing how much the procedures are actually worth) or, bring someone who speaks Korean --assuming that you go without DF, just research, choose a few and book a consultation. You probably won't do the surgeries the next day, but this way, you have options. (Well, this is my plan anyway!)

You probably don't need surgery. Most people don't. Unless you've been disfigured or born with a cleft palate or some sort of deformity. But hey, there's nothing wrong in wanting to improve the way you look. So when you say you want to get work done for the sake of motivation and something to hold on to...have you spoken about this to anyone? A confidant or a significant other, perhaps?

These were given to me exactly a week ago. Oh, I don't know if this is worth noting, but all of these clinics, except Cinderella only offers traditional lipo. I personally only want water-jet, so I've decided on Cinderella. But again, it's not final yet, I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice or info! ;D
