  1. It also proves that all the positive reviews on TFD are genuine and not from promoters.

Travellers FYI: If you use limousine airport bus it will take you 45-50 minutes from airport to gangnam. In car/taxi it can be around 90 minutes. Buses have dedicated lanes and they don't stop at toll stations. You can buy the ticket at the airport. The cashier can also help you if you tell them your stop, they will tell you which bus to take.

  2. Sorry if I sound offensive but there are too many things wrong with your post. Most ethical surgeons wouldn't perform FC(jaw, chin) and rhinoplasty at the same time. Facial proportion and balance being one thing but breathing will be near impossible with that.
So was your surgery with Faceline or Banobagi? Why are you on liquid diet for a month if you only had v-line and chin done? At most it would be 3-7 days, and I have seen people eating regular food on day 3 who had v-line/chin.

  3. Day 2:

At around 6 am, intubation was removed. Cotton that placed under nose for nosebleed was removed few hours earlier as I wasn't bleeding anymore from the nose. After intubation was removed, it still wasn't easy to breath but I felt 10x more comfortable and I was able to drink water from the syringe much easily. An hour later or so I was taken in to dental clinic area and mouth wounds were cleaned and new rubber band was placed on wafer. I was given meal replaced nutrition drink.
Dr.Lee came around 9 am and said my status seems good and I wasn't bleeding anymore. There wasn't much pain either. I was told I could go home on Day 3 if I want. They gave me ice packs to wear on my face. This day was 1000000X easier than day 1. They told me there wouldn't be anymore suction of blood from nose/mouth because it will irritate mucus membranes, instead I was given nasal spray and was told to use it twice a day. It helped a lot.

    Day 3:

I have been drinking water a lot and it seems to be helping my throat. Now that I use nasal spray, I can breath easily and no more discomfort. When I looked back on day 1 everything seems like heaven. I was discharged around 10 am and was told to get a taxi as it was cold that day. But I was feeling so great that I wanted to walk, which helped a lot. Taking shower at my residence helped greatly and now I knew that the worst has passed.

    Day 4-7:

I started walking 1-2 kms every day. I went for follow-up check up on Day 5 and was told that rubber band would be removed at 2 week mark. There was regular wound cleaning and also did 20 min session on de-swelling machine. Now I started drinking juices/milk from a cup instead of a syringe. Sleeping has become easier and physically I think I was already at 80-90% despite being on liquid diet.

    Day 7-13:

Nothing much to add. I started eating porridge and rice but I just swallow it without chewing. Swelling went down drastically as I was going for some de-swelling treatments along with daily walks. I think cold weather helps with the swelling too. My eyes look very nice and big, I think it was because my upper jaw was moved slightly upward and zygoma reduced while overall face length was reduced. Results started become apparent but it's too early to tell.

    Day-14 - Now:

Rubber band was removed on Day 14 and now finally I was able to talk. I was told to go easy on food and still eat soft food for few more weeks. I am still swallowing most of my food. I was told to wear my wafer for a while and I only remove it when I talk or eat. I flew back to my country on day 18. My stitches were already dissolved before I left. I am walking a lot and drinking loads of water. 70% of swelling has gone, I think most of it because of walking.
I am still in contact with Dr.Lee and TFD and updating them with my progress daily. Any question I have I get prompt response from them.

I will continue to update about my recovery. I don't regret choosing TFD and Day 1 still haunts me. I don't know how other clinic would treat you if you are calling for nurses every 15 minutes for 15 hours. But TFD staff and nurses are great. If anyone has any question feel free to pm me. I would only share X-rays through PM for now as I don't want anyone to judge the progress as it's only been 3 weeks or so.

  4. Nerves are those tiny white lines that will be shown near the bottom of your teeth on xray. You can tell your dentist that you want to see if any wisdom teeth impacting other teeth etc. Panoramic xray is quite simple and I believe costs around $40-50. Have you tried buccal fat removal? One person who I know had similar jaw issue and she benefited a lot from buccal fat removal.

  5. Jaw is not only bone, there is fat and masseter muscle. I think your wide jaw could be from overdeveloped masseter. Honestly though, pictures alone don't tell the story. You should get an xray, panoramic to to very least (from your dentist), or a full head xray if possible. It will also show how high your nerves are. The higher they are the better, as more bone could be shaved. If your nerves are sitting low, you won't benefit much from the surgery.

  6. Hello,

If it wasn't for this forum I would have never found out advanced PS market in Seoul, therefore I also want to contribute to this forum by posting my experience at TheFaceDental clinic. After I read some reviews about that clinic on this forum and some other forums, I wanted to get those surgeries done at only those clinics that specialize in Oral&Maxillofacial surgeries.
On top of that one of my local friend got her v-line surgery at TFD and her results were great, so I decided I will just go with that clinic.

I did online consultations with various clinics and only Dr.Lee at TFD mentioned that I would need Double jaw to correct my slight underbite using BSSRO and rotating upper jaw (LeFort I) along with chin/jaw shaving and zygoma reduction. After hearing that I went to some orthodontists in Canada, and they also suggested that SSRO would be beneficial for me. I was in contact with TFD since early 2017,gathering as much information I can and finally decided to go to Seoul in February 2018. In-person Consultation and surgery date was decided through kakao and I never had to pay for any deposits.

Tip: You don't have to use agencies to guide you through Seoul. You don't need a translator if you choose TFD. Dr.Lee speaks decent english. You would definitely need data plan there, especially for maps. I never used cash in Seoul. I bought Olleh LTE sim card (online) and picked it up at ICN airport. I used Airport Limousine BUS ($15) from ICN to Seoul, I bought the return ticket using credit card at the airport. My residence was booked through airbnb and it was only 10 mins walk to the clinic. Every store I went to accepted credit card.My credit card has no foreign transaction fee plus rewards.

    Consultation:
I went there at 10am, filled out some paperwork and had pictures, Xrays and dental impressions taken (for wafer). Dr.Lee then used those images to project a plan for surgery on his computer. It shows where your current bones are, and how much they will be shifted. Consultation was straight forward as I was fully prepared and had most of my questions answered online. Finally I paid the deposit to confirm my surgery date 2 days later, I was told my wafer would be done by that time. Then my blood was taken for bloodtest and I was sent to a hospital (2 mins walk) for ECG and chest xray (no charges). I then did some shopping and stocked my residence fridge with liquid diet items.

    Day 1:
My surgery was at 10am, I got there at 9am. I fasted for 8 hours prior to that (general anesthesia requirement). Some more papers to sign and paid my remaining balance. I was then shown to my post-op care room to change and put my belongings there. It's a private room with TV, desk sofa, fridge and bed. Dr. Lee then again went through with the surgical plan, recovery and post-op care. After that I was moved to the surgery room, which is on a different floor. I still had no thoughts on post-op pain and discomfort. Before I know I was out and after what seemed like a split second, some one was waking me up. Dr Lee told me that my surgery was successful. I had no idea how I got in to my room, I was stuffed, felt like I can't breathe and didn't want to keep my eyes open.
After surgery it was total HELL for me because I really didn't expect that much discomfort. I had wafer in my mouth, rubberband shut, intubation in my nose and dry throat. I wasn't allowed to sleep and drink water for 6 hours. Words cant express my gratitude and how thankful I am to those nurses. I had blood and phelgm in my throat and nose and it was very hard to breath. There was a bell to call nurse, I was using that every 15-20 minutes for next 16 hours until intubation was removed. Whenever I press the bell, a nurse would come right away just under few seconds for blood/phelgm suction outta my nose and throat. Time was moving very slow for me, but I had different goals to look forward to that kept me sane. Like I knew after 6 hours I can drink water and another 10 hours later intubation would be removed and so on. That day the only good thing for me was that I had very less pain.

    Rest Coming Soon

  7. It could be permanent. Individual grafts are extracted from the donor area, resulting in exposing much larger donor area compared to FUT (which only extract the graft strip and takes merely few minutes).

FUE on other hand will take 4-5 hours just to extract those individual grafts, putting donor area under sensitivity for much longer. One of the Dr mentioned that since most FUE grafts are left alone for much longer time before being transplanted to the recipient area, the success rate is also lower compared to FUT.

  8. I did my 2jaw, vline and zygoma reduction at face dental a week ago. Great Dr and great nurses. I will write my review later when I go back to my home country. However I must say that first day was HELLLLLLL. I immediately regretted it when I woke up from anesthesia. It wasn't about pain, it was the crazy discomfort and being unable to breath. JUST HELLLLLL. However I recovered fast and 3rd day and so on were relatively easy.

  9. I think if your are in USA or Canada, you should do hair transplant there. Top Canadian doctors are Rahal and Hassan&Wong. They have been doing transplant for ages and get patients from all over the world. Hair transplant recovery is very sensitive. You can't touch the grafted area for 3-4 days and grafts are only secure after 14 days. You can't wear hats during that time, can't go under direct sunlight for 2 weeks to avoid scarring the grafted area.

FUT will leave a scar on back of your head, usually have better results minus the scar.(Cheaper and faster). Recovery is harder. Hard to sleep on your back for 3-4 days.
FUE: Donor area (back of the head) will be shaved. may result in permanent shock loss in donor area. Expensive and takes long as each graft have to be extracted individually.Faster recovery.

  10. Therapists just want to make hours. If something takes few weeks to get better, they will stretch it out for years. I would say best thing would be to invest in something that you actually love. Sport?Game?Exercise?
I really wish I actually cared what people say, but I only do things if I really want to do. Do surgery if you really want to do it just for yourself, not to impress people. Having said that, I think you may benefit from 2jaw surgery.

  11. Hair transplant would leave a scar on the back of your head if doing FUT method. FUE method causes crazy shock loss on donor area, and back of the head would need to be shaved (not optimal for women).

Many people (especially women) choose the hair lowering option. If they feel that the scar on hair line is too much, they can just get few hunderd grafts transplant just on the scar vs thousands of grafts if only choosing the transplant method.

  12. Removing wisdom teeth may soften up jaw a bit. There is a slight possibility of class 3 mandible (even if its minor) judging from the area around the mouth and chin. That could be the main reason for long face.

I noticed that most people here will just say nice things without addressing the issue. Get panoramic X-ray from your dentist, it may give you some idea for wisdom teeth and if it indeed is class 3 mandible (underbite).
