  1. I just want to say that after 3 months my epi has become more natural looking. *phew. However, the epi corner of my right eye has become more square than triangular and seems too elongated. My left eye turned out perfectly fine. My doctor did say my right eye didn't really need it...so maybe thats why. So please only do epi if you really need it. And always get a second opinion. The high chance of scaring and mm difference can change your eye shape and not in a good way. Kelocote scaring gel works wonders though and my doctor's stitch work was great so I have no scaring.

  2. Hi, this question is for those that had epi done before, specifically "magic epi", where they only cut along the inner corners. Its been 1 month since I had it done and I find my epi is still abit sharp at the corners, like "cat eyed". I read on real self this tends to happen for a few weeks due muscles tightening. Can anyone give me their experience about the healing process and if/when it will look less tight at the corners ? I really hope I don't have to go for epi reversal

  3. I'm here right now til March 13. I came alone so Iwould like to meet up too  I just did epi this time so I should recovery within a week or so.

  4. I got tapered because parallel would like unnatural on me...my family is from south east china so the eyes I have are quite slanted and almond shaped. I know from research that those typically with my eye shaped, tapered is probably best and no epi for me. I know it would have opened up my eyes and show the crease more but I didn't want my eyes to look to close or look "square" like kyuhyun from super junior or dawn yang. Parallel is possible with incisional method for most people I believe...it just might not be great or possible depending on your eye shape, amount of eyelid fat you have to remove (which is always risky), where your eye socket is etc. But if dawn yang can do it with the eyes she naturally had then most people can too... Just IMO dawn yang eyes look good in SOME pictures but real life I don't think so, she over did it . I also had some clinics tell me non incisonal wasn't possible for me but when they actually saw me they said otherwise so I wouldn't trust online consults too much (doesn't mean it was that was best choice for me). I remember my surgeon said 7mm was probably be the max for me cause my eye socket (bone) would be quite close to the tail of my eyelid crease at that point so there's also that restraint. I know it must be hard after all that time and effort to go there and not achieve your goal  but face to face consultation is a must before you make a decision ! I read many post where girls eventually don't do it even after extensive research. Korea is also just a great place for a vacation so even if you can't get ps done at the end I still think its a place worth going for fun

  5. It was really my decision since at the time I also didn't want to go for the incisional approach but they did tell me that the incisional method would give me the best result considering how my eyelids were. As long as you communicate to your surgeon about your concerns it shouldnt be problem.

  6. Hi everybody ! It has now been 2 months since I had DES at MVP. It was a good experience overall from surgery to recovery so I want to just share with you guys my experience. This forum helped me when I was researching so I would like to give back in some way. I had it done with Dr. Seo at MVP. He is like what most patients here have described him to be; his skill as a surgeon is great, he listens to you, and gives you realistic and a very professional opinion. I also chose him because his style of DES is more natural and conservative, ptosis correction is like his specialty seriously and his stitch work is amazing (I have minimal scarring and I seriously can credit him for it) I had I had quite fatty lids and ptosis so I needed fat removal for the DES to form nicely and natural, previously I had non incisonal and it just looked so unnatural because I didn't remove any fat...and when I woke up sometimes it would look so swollen...not a good choice on my part, anyways from what I read on real self if you remove too much you can't go back...so that's always a concern. I chose a 5mm height (both times) which looks very natural right now, I previously had hood eyelids with a crease sitting at maybe 2.5 -3mm but looking back maybe 7mm (which is the standard) would have shown a bit more of the crease and still look quite natural. I stayed for 2 weeks in Korea but I believed 1 week to 10 days is enough (not including consultation, I recommend not putting down a deposit on one clinic, please go to at least 2). I removed my stitches on day 6 and already my right eye had little swelling and bruising. I did bruise quite a bit the first week but I think most of it had to do with not icing it enough in the first 48 hours. I really think if you have bruising like me (I had it all around my eye ><) please ice it as much as possible in the first 48 hours. I was lucky enough that it went away in 2 weeks but Dr.Seo said it might take a month ! For bruising do not drink green tea ! I drink like a 2-3 cups before I realized >>...I had minimal swelling compared to nonincisonal but maybe because I took better care of it this time...For swelling I took arnica montana pills but I don't think it helped too much. I think pumpkin juice helped a lot though, and of course exercise ! Ellen and Mindy the English consultants are super awesome and helpful !! I texted them and they would reply quickly, they also are not pushy at all, and they treated me to lunch, well they said the company did haha. The impression I got from everyone there and from what Ive heard is that this clinic has good values and a solid reputation. I know people have said their prices are higher than other similar sized clinics but I have my opinion about why foreigners are charged higher...but I really did have a good DES experience there so I would recommend them for a consultation even if its just for a professional opinion. If money is really an issue for surgery please save up and don't go find any place that would offer you an amazing sounding deal because safety and trust is very important even for a small surgery like DES...things can still go horribly wrong. Thanks for reading ! Good luck on your research !!
