  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience! I had the same thing happen to me. I underwent buccal fat removal and my cheeks are totally flat and sagging now. My facial contours are ****e, especially when backlit. I've spent years regretting my decision to undergo the surgery, and have spent so much time and money trying to remedy it through fillers and fat grafts. Still haven't succeeded in fixing the multitude of problems

Personally, I would never go back to a clinic that did a lousy job the first time around. There are so many reputable clinics in Korea; why not try something else? In any case, Fresh doesn't appear to have the most solid of reputations...

  2. Ah I guess that would be possible only if you were having a bone procedure as well. Do you like the results of the graft?

  3. oh no i know exactly how you feel Leelala - I've been through the same agony and depression when I got my buccal fats removed in 2010 (by a Singaporean surgeon who's supposed to be top-notch), and my lower face totally sank in and aged me by 20 years. I was depressed for like, 5 years? Until I started fat grafting procedures in Korea, which have helped somewhat.

I cannot speak for US surgeons, but the ones I've been to in Singapore just cannot match up to their Korean counterparts in terms of skill and expertise. I think it's coz surgery in Korea is so common that the surgeons there have so much experience. They just churn out patients like a factory line.

I did my accusculpt along my jaw line to remove jowls, which I suspect were a result of the stupid buccal fat removal i did in 2010.

  4. Yes, I did the fat graft with him. He's a breast augmentation specialist, but he uses fat grafts for many of his breast augmentation procedures, so I guess that makes him somewhat of a fat specialist too. Overall the experience was quite positive for me, but like my two other fat grafts (which I did with Dr Kim at BK), most of the injected fats have been absorbed by my body

The clinic would probably recommend you give yourself a few months before you do any liposuction, as your face is currently still healing from the graft, and the amount of fats you see right now will certainly change over time.

May I ask which clinic you had your fat graft done at please?

  5. I'm sorry to hear you're having a negative experience with your graft! For me, the initial results were always great. It was the ensuing months that were disappointing as I watched my fats melt away.
I think you could still be swollen from the op, so everything looks kinda distorted now. Give yourself another 2-3 weeks for that to resolve, and you might be happy with the results. In any case, the amount of fat that remains after 2-3 months for most patients will only be 40%, so don't worry too much!
You could also try massaging your face, coz that would break down the fats faster. But I'd say, just be patient! You may be surprised at how great you look after a few weeks

  6. yup the swelling was BAD the first few days. i looked like a pumpkin. but came down after two weeks. I stayed in korea for 6 days!

  7. I ended up doing fat grafting with PRP and stem cell at JW, along with tread lift and accusculpt lift for saggy skin. So far I'm liking the results! My skin looks a lot more lifted and plump now. Of course, like with my previous fat grafts, it remains to be seen if the fats totally disappear

But service wise, I was satisfied. Jenny, my interpreter, was really lovely and helpful and answered my very persistent questions. Look for her if you guys ever visit JW! And Dr Seul was very patient and frank (but not pushy) in his assessment of what I needed done. Only thing is, they're kinda pricey! My husband balked at the price - 9.5 million won for all the procedures...

Will check back in here again in a month's time to update on how the fats are holding up!

  8. Hi Sherrily! I've PM-ed you

  9. Yeah the grafts improved my skin - for a while! Once the fats disappeared, so did the improvement of my skin. I hv pretty much the same complaints as you- pores the size of craters, fine lines and redness. I'm also really scrawny with a high metabolism, which may explain why fat grafts don't seem to work for me. Ah well third time's the charm maybe?!

  10. Thanks K Junkie! I was very happy with my results initially too! But the fats all gradually disappeared. And this was with stem cells too

I paid about 4 million won at BK. As for JW, they're quoting me 4.5 million to 4.9 million won. But now I'm considering Fresh too!

  11. Im now torn between JW and Fresh for full face fat grafting! I'm hearing so many good things about Fresh here, but I don't like how the doctor is not an actual plastic surgeon!
    Would appreciate advice from anyone!

  12. I did mine at BK the first two times. This was with stem cell too; yet the fats did not last! I'm gonna do it again on 20 July - this time with Dr Seul at JW. I'm really hoping third time's the charm haha. I've not heard of micro/nano grafts! I will ask Dr Seul during my consultation

  13. I agree! Compared to other doctors from other clinics, the Fresh director does not seem to have any specialist training in plastic surgery

  14. Oh awesome! I'm so glad to hear what you have to say about Dr Seul coz I'm getting the exact same procedure under him I feel very assured now about my decision after reading your post!
