I was just reading through the forum and I came across your thread, I could not just pass by.

I'm really fat, and people say I look intimidating.
I was subject to bullying when I was a kid because of my fatness. I had to defend myself so I practiced how to look intimidating since then, you see I grew quite tall too...so I guess I succeeded for that purpose pretty well haha.

As a grown up I hang out with mature people, so I don't get bullied anymore. But the intimidating behavior is something I engraved into myself. Something I do without consciousness as to defend? I don't know.
But, even so, I do think I might as well understand how you feel...

I agree with the ideas given by the girls (or boys) above. I think you will benefit from bone shaving surgery for the cheekbones and facial fat grafting. My friends did facial fat graft at Fresh Clinic couple of years ago, and they still look great. That is how I am in contact with Fresh Clinic for the body liposuction because I heard he is really well known for fat manipulation surgery. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who did bone shaving around me tho but you can get opinions from the people on this forum.

But you know what we only have one face and one body, and gotta live with them for how many years we do not know yet! So I am doing research and online consultation time to time. Step by step you know?

I went to Naver (Korean website) to search and realised that the center charges 1500 USD for abdominal liposuction.

I did my Lipo at The Line (https://thelineclinic.com) in the beginning of April by Dr. Jae-Ho Cho. I did my arm and underarm and am very happy with the result.

I visited The Line, MVP, and TLPS. I decided on The Line because of the position, small size, and number of incision Dr Cho is able to achieve. Also, the Lipo by Dr Cho is assisted by RF. At MVP, the incision was going to be bigger than I would prefer and the position was going to be in an area thats more visible. At TLPS, the doctor was going to do 2 incisions on each arm which I find unnecessary. Furthermore, the procedure was going to be completely manual with no RF or laser assistance.

Dr. Cho also has many YouTube videos where he talked at conferences regarding Lipo, so he seems to be an expert on this field.

I am happy with my result, though there are times where I wonder and wish he would have taken out more....Perhaps this is just me being greedy? I trust that Dr. Cho took out the appropriate volume 1) for my shape so that I don't look unproportional and 2) I still have a smooth finish (if you take out too much, the surface can seem irregular and not smooth due to texture of the muscle showing.

4 months on, my scar has faded quite a bit. I reckon in a few more months they will be barely visible. There is still slightly numbing and sore sensation down the lower side of my upper arm, but it has lessened significantly over the last few months.

I am visiting the clinic again in a few weeks for Dr Cho to check on my recovering progress.

I'm glad you like your result I didn't really like how my inquiries were answered by The Line PS actually, quite curt and all, I guess they are really busy. But then after reading your review I think it would be worth a visit while I'm in Korea. I will be there like 17 + days after all.

I am wondering what is this RF you mentioned about tho...? I should check this out!!

Well well well.. looks like this has developed into a very controversial issue, about whether a doctor is board certified or not.
So I did a little research and guess what, most of the lipo places I am interested in at the moment seem to have the same issue, not only Fresh. (I mean, I want to make sure) Funnily enough 365, and Pretty Body I cannot find their board certification, but the big PS clinics like DAPRS and The Line can be found. But I guess their business is legit? I mean look how big 365 is? At the moment I am pretty interested with 365 apart from being one of the most expensively quoted place, but then when I read through their before and after posts and their big various types of fat removal methods, I am reclining toward them.

Also, the more I read the threads in this forum, I don't know why I keep seeing the same person keep posting same bad thing about one clinic sometimes without any pictures or any proof whats wrong and stuff, and it makes me doubt about it.

I mean I love to discuss stuff here and I might as well be posting my before and after photos after I had my surgeries, but I realize now this forum is confusing me A LOT.

Where does the fat on your cheeks sit? If it's below the hollows of your cheeks, this is buccal fat pads. If it's by the sides of your mouth, this is lower/front cheek fat that can be removed with facial lipo or acculift.

Have you consulted any clinics for their input? When I sent my photos to one clinic (I have a very round face with chubby lower/front cheek fat and an unprounced jawline), they suggested removing the fat, doing a lift, and botox injections to reduce the size of the muscles in my jaw. I said I wasn't interested in the botox injections, as when I pull the fat on my cheeks up, I can see my jawline and I like its shape. It's just obscured by fat! When you do this, do you like the size of your jaw? If you don't and want a smaller jaw, you could inquire about botox injections. Personally, v-line surgery scares me a bit, but it is pretty commonly practiced in Korea among facial contouring surgeons so you could ask a specialist if you would be a candidate. But maybe tackle your unwanted facial fat to see what you're working with underneath?!

Definitely talk to multiple doctors but be prepared to have them change their mind when you go for an in-person consult. I've found that some doctors think my cheek fat is buccal, some don't... I don't think it is but because of my naturally chubby face people assume it's all buccal. Educate yourself on all procedures (buccal, facial lipo, acculift) so you know the pro's/con's, what each is for, and what you think would be best for you. Ask your dr's opinion and see what they say.

How old are you? Something to consider is a lack of facial fat can age you, especially as you get older and your face naturally thins out and can make you look gaunt. Check out posts on PF about facial lipo, facelifts, and fat grafts.

Also, I really want chin injections too! Check out jennydear on Instagram. She got chin injections (linked below) and I think it looks soooo cute. Doctors have told me I don't have a prominent chin, and I'm not ready to commit to a chin implant so once my face heals after I do all facial surgeries, I would like to try chin injections. (Just an FYI, jennydear got free surgery from DocFinderKorea for Banobagi. Not recommending DFK/Bano, but I just think she's adorable.)

I've found that sometimes people don't see new threads, and that's why they don't respond. It may be more effective to search for "liposuction" in the forum and then respond to people who have posted about it in the past. Either people who are also asking for more info, or people who have posted their results. They'll get an alert that you responded, and will be more likely to respond back to you!

Yes Ikr? The fact DFK gets a cut from my money, and saying their service is free....kind of creepy. But I just needed some assurance that I have someone to help me after heavy body lipo...But I haven't contacted DFK yet tho.

BTW, I only did lower body lipo but it was quite okay for me to walk around little bit on the same day of surgery.(Little bit dizzy but it was okay.) If you do entired of body then....I think you better to have a rest rather than go outside..
I did my lipo at Pretty Body Clinic in Cheongdam because my auntie did her breast surgery and belly lipo. My auntie and me are very happy with result now. Most shame of Pretty Body Clinic is no information I can get from online..
The service was good, clinic was quite bigger than what I expected, moreover, the consultant speaks English directly without any translator!!! She was soooo sweet!

Yeaaah, Okay but I was worried about being alone and needing someone's help just in case something comes up, I mean, I am going to some other country, afterall...so I thought about using agency. There's no one who can accompany to Korea for 17 days...

After reading this I felt so betrayed and doubtful, (I'm following his Instagram and had consultation anyway) so I contacted them and they sent me proof that Dr. Hong is a legit doctor, they took a photo of his certs hanging around his wall. Like he has done all the education and stuff.

As a heavy body and face possessor, I decided that I cant take the fat friends forever in my life, so I decided to get rid of them this December. I am going to do lipo for belly, thigh, arm and face double chin and cheek.
Actually my option wasn't only restricted to South Korea, but US is kinda getting tough to get visa thesedays, I heard... I am planning to stay in Korea for about 17 days!!

Wow I havent been here for a while but as lipo enthusiast I have been very interested in a few lipo specialists including Fresh, and have seen people posting here with good results D:
And all the while I've been contacting Banobagi, 365mc, DAPRS, found out that they all charge more for the foreign patients Sad Sad.... Is is it really impossible to get Korean pricing??
Any other suggestion for liposuction clinic that is good? I have decided to go to Korea this December to do liposuction for face and body

Assuming your case is not a mere underarm liposuction, Im sure that quotes given by clinics were rough prices based on past cases and depending on your seriousness it may change on your actual consultation. Wouldn't it? I don't know how big or flabby yours are but you're indeed right that the excess breast tissue need precise diagnosis and treatment. At times, they call a different price with actual consultation. So if I were you, I would take a visit first!

Besides, Korea is a leading country in plastic surgeries and they hold that much of medical tech capacity and experience so I think you can expect good results. All the best J
