  1. Hi Miame44, I wasn’t able to PM you so posting on the forum. May I know if you are loving your result from the facelift, and if there’s anything you would have done differently? How long did your scars remain visible?

I’ve emailed Dr Lee but still waiting to hear back from him. Thinking of doing the procedure end June. Do you happen to know the nearest hotel close by Dr Lee’s clinic? Thanks!

    Rgds

  2. Hi there, I’m very skinny and underweight. They extracted fats from both my inner thigh and unfortunately the deep purple bruises took about slightly more than 1 month to resolve - I am slow to recover from bruises. Donor site was aching and quite painful to move about the first 3-5 days. After bruise is gone, I don’t see unevenness on my thigh.. no lumpiness or pain on my face. Just to add.. They stored my fat and I went back for top up about 2.5 months later. I’m now about 9.5 months from my first FG... lost some fullness on forehead. Just realised this thread is about Fresh and MVP. I did mine at April 31.

  3. Check out Doctor Kim of April 31! I heard even Lee Min Ho looked for him.

My personal experience, especially immediately after my surgery, I felt totally relieved that there's literally no pain (just feeling of pressure on my nose), not much grogginess from the IV drip, no pain in my throat (I heard many people had really dry throat & even throat pain right after surgery, hardly any bleeding & best of all, I could breathe freely through my nostrils when I woke up! I was mentally prepared that I had to breathe thru my mouth & even practised prior to the surgery lol!

i read from somewhere that when it comes to very experience surgeons, they know exactly where to touch which minimises unnecessary disturbing of nearby tissue etc and this would mean lesser pain & bleeding for the patient so I believe Dr Kim is one of the best in his field, though there are probably other good ones in Korea, which I don't know.

  4. Hey Rockisbae & fellow forumers,

There seem to be some mystery around Brian's out of action in Rockisbae's post surgery care so just wanna share what I heard in case any of you canned April 31 due to this perceived 'lapse' which would be a pity. It was apparently unintentional & beyond his control as I understand he was hospitalised for like a month that time resulting in not being able to respond to messages. Seems like he does have some health issues that puts him in & out of hospital.. not because he's lazy or don't care.

My impression of April 31 is its not run by a huge team unlike, perhaps JW or VIP.. probably due to the fact that each surgeon in-house performs a max of like 3 or 4 surgeries per day to ensure quality without exhausting the doctor.. this also explains the higher prices.

Brian was the only English speaking Consultant then which kind of put a strain on his bandwidth. As Alliwish rightly pointed out, in my recent experience 2 months ago, Brian use April 31 Kakao & voluntarily added another of his English speaking colleague, Henry (he probably expanded his team to better serve the patients), just to be sure at least one of them would be around to take care of me/my sis. He was really accommodating & even added another of his Chinese speaking Consultant to the chat group to give us a peace of mind.

Whatever is our next plastic surgery or procedure that me & my sis would embark on in future, we are certain we won't go anywhere except for April 31. We like the fact that each doctor at April 31 has a specialty so we are assured of the level of expertise, experience & dedication. That is the experience both me & my Sister deeply feel.. we really like their attentiveness, honesty, & sincereity in taking care of the interest of their patients, which we experienced with Dr Oh & Dr Park. Dr Kim seems to be more busy so the amount of time we got from him was much shorter, which was a pity.

Frankly, we were curious about other clinics & went to another clinic together with a fellow forummer who happened to be in Seoul that week. Gosh, we could feel the difference & disparity, and totally relieved that we had picked April 31 despite the price level..which for some of the procedures, might not be that far off from what some of the other clinics quote, like the one we visited.

Given Rockisbae's post surgery care experience, I didn't want to comment in the forum too early post surgery. But now that I'm 2 months post surgery, and Brian is still very much in touch with us, our Kakao chat group is still intact, and he's checking on us from time to time, I would safely conclude the level of dedication & commitment,

He's really patient & take effort to answer all our questions, which he probably answered a gazillion times before, texting replies to us in great length, never once giving us any feeling that he's in any hurry to brush us away or just answer in as short a manner, which we do feel in a couple other consultants from other clinics. I'm seriously curious what's his handphone typing speed.. I'll find out in my next visit for my FG top up.

I think I should stop here least anyone start suspecting I'm paid by April 31.. lol! But seriously, we will go back to April 31 cos of the skilful Doctors who give honest assessments & opinions, Brian's dedication & his eye for esthetic, and the clinic's integrity.

Sorry Rockisbae that I've written so much on your thread! Hope you are enjoying a good time & happy with your nose as I really think it look good! I should have studied more, and be more sure of what I wanted, as I might have unintentionally given Dr Kim the wrong impression that I didn't want too high a nose & bridge, resulting in something that looks a little too low, bringing no possibility of anyone suspecting me of going under the knife! But it's still a positive change as now my nose has a shape. There might be some truth in not telling the doctor that you want a natural looking nose -- please tell the doctor in precise detail covering the shape & size, and height (by mm) of the bridge & nose tip.

    Happy PS!

    Cheers,
    Vic

  5. Hello everyone,

I just did a revised rhinoplasty in Korea 2 days ago. The Clinic Consultant mentioned that it's tax refundable. But today he did a u-turn & said he made a mistake and that revised rhinoplasty is not eligible for tax refund. The clinic I went to is a pretty reputable one considering their high price relative to others.

Could I hear from those of you who've done revised rhinoplasty in Korea, if you managed to get tax refund? I've tried to call the Medical Korea Information Center but the receptionist hung up on me as she couldn't speak English or Mandarin.

My sis did under eye repositioning & double eyelid.. she was also told only double eyelid is tax refundable.

Appreciate your reply bro & sis! Thanks in advance!

    Rgd,
    Vic

  7. hello Tinlee,
I'll be heading to Korea this Friday for rhinoplasty. May I know how much you've paid for yours at VIP? Was the procedure you did called Harmony Rhinoplasty? I read up VIP website & it looks interesting & sounds promising. Would you mind Kakao me at Victoria or share with me your Kakao Id please so that I can get a referral from you please?

Would you be able to do piggy nose like the dynamic tip performed by Dr Kim at April 31? Thanks!

    Rgds,

  8. Hello SY1,

I'm happy for you that you like the revision! I'm close to placing a deposit for Dr Kim April 31 so that I can have my primary rhinoplasty & GF done on the first day I arrive korea next Saturday! Would I please have your Kakao Id to seek your advice on a couple of things?

My Kakao is Victoria if you don't mind messaging me too. Thanks a million!

    Cheers, Victoria

  9. Hello Rockisbae,

Your current nose look nice & natural. I'll be in Korea from 1 July for 10 days. Narrowed down to Dr Kim of April 31 & Dr Choi of MVP, thinking now if I should pay the 1mil won deposit to have rhinoplasty done by Dr Kim in my first day so that I have more recovery time.

May I find out what material was used by Dr Kim for your nose, open or closed rhinoplasty? You mentioned your first week was bad, would you mind elaborating, besides the fact that Brian was MIA? Could you mind sharing how Long it took your nose to de-swell such that it's not noticeable to others?

Lastly, which doc are you doing your alar reduction in summer?

    Thanks,
    Victoria

  10. Hello Happysoul123,

I'm just 2 weeks away for my trip to rhinoplasty in Seoul and stumbled on your very informational post. May I find out how your rhinoplasty has turned out so far? I'm also wondering if you think it's very safe to go back to work 3 weeks after rhinoplasty based on your experience?

I'm now torn between Baum, MVP & Dream.

    Thks in advance!

    Rgds,
    Victoria
