  1. I'm not sure what happened but Jessica has always been welcoming me with a smile and whenever we had a little chat she was very sweet and fun to talk to. The aftercare of view was really great but I had to stay for 3 days at their infirmary and they allowed me to stay another 4 days in their hotel room in the same building. I think a lot of clinics in Seoul don't require you to be hospitalized just for rhino but like you said maybe there was some miscommunication.

  2. A lot of clinics prefer cash and would give you a 10% discount but you don't get the 8% tax refund which a lot of clinics provide so it's almost the same if you pay with cash or credit card.

For payment the easiest would be to pay with credit card but usually theres a limit so you would need several credit cards or arrange it with your bank so your limit is higher. You would also have to notify your bank to tell them you're going to another country so they don't block your card when you're in Seoul. You could also do a wire transfer which I did but these might take up to 5 days to go through. Another option is paying in cash but personally I don't feel comfortable carrying such a big amount of money with me even tho Gangnam is as safe as it can be. You would also have to declare your money if you're carrying over 10.000 euros in European airports which could be a hassle. Be careful if you plan to use your debit card because my maestro was practicly useless in South Korea and would only work for withdrawing money from an ATM.

As for accomodations if you have a lot of money you could go to hotel. Some clinics are affiliated with specific hotels usually nearby which they can provide you with a discount but they are usually very expensive even with the discount. Personally I like airbnb more. Try and find an accomodation in Gangnam near the clinics you are planning to visit with at least a private room. If you can afford it a whole appartment or studio would be ideal. Right after surgery when you're all swollen like a balloon you will love the privacy and having your own place to stay complete with kitchen and having your own bathroom.

Dr Choi doesn't work anymore at GNG. I think they have a new surgeon now for facial contouring but I don't know if he is good.

I would suggest to do as many online consultations first to get a feel of how much clinics charge and see which procedures they recommend. Short list a few clinics you like and then have f2f consultations with these clinics once you're in Seoul. Also the purse forum has a lot of useful information and has helped me a lot. It's the nr 1 place to find information for english speaking people.

To prepare I would suggest you to read K-Couture's guide which is really helpful for people planning to have surgery in Seoul. There is a lot of information on the forums.
    # Sorry for the long post but you seemed a bit lost and it can be overwhelming once you start doing your research. I hope this post helps!

  3. First of all I apologise for any grammatical mistakes I make. English isn't my first language but I'll try my best to write my plastic journey in Seoul.

I'm a trans woman and I decided to have plastic surgery to make me passable as a woman. I know many transgender women go to a surgeon specialised in facial feminization surgery but I decided to have it done in South Korea. Why South Korea do you ask? Because South Korea is "The plastic surgery capital of the world". There is no other place in the world where you can find so many skilled plastic surgeons and clinics in such a small area like Gangnam in Seoul. They have the best surgeons and use the most advanced technology.

After researching for a very long time to find the best clinic for my surgeries I found View Clinic. They are popular amongst locals and also attract many international customers. They haven't made a single medical mistake for 13 years and are known for the popular show "Let me in". It's so important to find the best surgeons for your surgery and that's why I chose View Clinic.

I decided to have multiple surgeries including double jaw surgery together with V-line and zygoma reduction because I have a very strong jaw line and a big face even bigger than your average guy. I also wanted to have rhino because the nose is so important to make a face look feminine and I was born with a big bulbuous nose. I wasn't sure about double eyelid surgery but after seeing one of the consultants her double eyelid surgery I also wanted the surgery so my eyes would appear bigger. One perk was also so I could use liquid eyeliner which was impossible to make it look good with a mongolian lid. I also decided to have breast augmentation because they are considered one of the best clinics for breast augmentation.

The consultation day went great. I met with Dr Yun who would do my double eye lid surgery and double jaw surgery. We discussed in detail about what my ideal face shape is and what would happen. He also showed me a pc image to show how my bonestructure would change. We also discussed my double eye lid surgery. He suggested non incisional double eye lid surgery together with epicanthoplasty but on the surgery date I talked to the doctor I wanted to have full incisional double eye lid surgery instead because I heard non incisional double eye lid surgery has more chance to unravel after a few years.

After the consultation with Dr Yun I met with Dr Choi for my breast augmentation. We discussed my wishes and he was very friendly and calm and answered all the questions and concerns I had. We also talked in detail about the different options and what to expect from the surgery. He made suggestions what would be best and I trusted him to make the right decision for my case. Overall I had a good feeling for both consultations and I trust Dr Yun and Dr Choi to make my wishes come true. I wish I could have done all surgeries together but it isn't possible to have both rhino and double jaw surgery together. I will have my rhino in 3 months after double jaw surgery together with my breast augmentation.

I haven't met Dr Lee yet for my rhinoplasty but I still have time for the consultation.

The surgery was succesful and I'm now 4 weeks postop. I'm happy so far with my results but I'm still recovering. I have to say the aftercare is amazing and the nurses were all very friendly and helped me get through the first 3 days when I was hospitilized. View clinic also let me stay afterwards for 4 days at their VIP room. It's basicly a 5 star hotel room and you get to have breakfast and a free chocomilk with cream from their bar below. I'm not sure if this is standard procedure to give a room for free for several days or maybe because it wasn't peak season and the rooms were free so they allowed us to stay but I really appreciated it.

The consultants were all very friendly and made me feel at home, texting me to see how I was doing and they also helped me with any questions I had and helped me extending my visa. Special thanks to Anna who helped me during the whole period and she was like having a friend here in Seoul.

    To be continued...

  4. Hi,

I want to have V-line surgery, Rhinoplasty, cheekbone reduction and DAPRS is one of the clinics I'm considering to have my surgeries. I read their rhinoplasty isn't good. Did they improve during the years or should I look for rhino somewhere else? Is it possible to have like 2 surgeries in different clinics because I'm paying quite a lot of money for the trip and would like to have all the surgeries done in one go. Also I read about doctors swapping during surgery with less experienced ones. Has anyone heard DAPRS also does this?
