  1. I'm having two jaw and V line as well with Dr.Lee from TFD clinic! I was very impressed by the online consultation. I'm a Caucasian, but I prefer Korean beauty standards over western. I love the delicate facial lines Korean surgery can do. I never liked square and broad jaws, wide faces etc. I always saw those things as a flaw in a way. For an example Angelina Jolie. Amazing eyes and lips, but her head always looked big to me with a heavy jaw. Now that she lost lots of weight her head looks even bigger and jaw even more square. I still find her beautiful, but I don't want to look like her. At the same time, I don't want to look like a different race. I love my eyes, lips, nose is ok (can be better of course!), but dislike my face shape and that's what I want to change and I really like the Korean V line aesthetic. I want to be able to wear cute hairstyles and clothes without feeling like they don't suit me because my face isn't feminine enough. I also want a dramatic result as long as it's safe!
I plan to go sometime in autumn this year!

Excited for you and your journey!! Please keep us updated and best of luck!

  2. Hello everyone!

I have been on this forum for a while now and I learned so many things about Korean plastic surgery and the clinics there. Thanks to you guys I know what clinics to avoid, what clinics are the best etc.

Feel free to skip this part if you feel like it's unnecessary!

First let me tell you a "bit" about me.
Since puberty I've been struggling with my face. Face shape to be exact. It just looked so wrong! When I was a child I was very pretty, even did child modeling, but as years went by my face started changing FOR WORSE. It's like my jaw had a mind of its own and formed into a weird square shape. Chin got longer, mid face got longer. Too long! Face got weird and "box-y" looking. I started being told I was ugly by both boys and girls. I don't want to go back to those bad times and make it look like I'm only getting surgery because of other people which is false. It is mostly for me, but of course if I look great other people will most likely acknowledge it.
After high school things started to get better for me. I became prettier. I started receiving compliments, got asked out on dates, guys started to stop me in the streets to ask for my number, I started experimenting with makeup and clothing more and eventually I got a boyfriend and had a baby 6 months ago. You guys are probably thinking now, well why are you still here then? Well, I did change for the better, but obviously I cannot change every single thing naturally and miraculously look like a completely different person after school. I am still very self conscious and get told from time to time how my face is long, not long ago I was also told my face shape resembles one of a horse..I still avoid looking myself in the mirror and taking selfies or having my pictures taking. Even my boyfriend is upset because of this.
Not to mention my face is now even more narrow because I recently had a baby and looking after her with my family living miles away is pretty hard. Especially when my bf is working. I lost weight and it shows the most on my face. I always had a very thin face so if I lose weight it looks even thinner and longer which is awful!
Although I got better looking and more confident I am still not where I want to be. I want to be prettier and conventionally good looking! I know I might sound vain by saying this but hey, this is a plastic surgery forum. I cannot lie you guys lol. I know what I want and I also know that plastic surgeon are also humans who make mistakes and aren't miracle workers! I am aware of it all! I even had therapy at the beginning of this year just to see if my mindset about my appearance and surgery is "healthy". Although I didn't go into detail with my therapist about what I want I did roughly mention that I am unhappy with my face shape. She thought my face was nice and "lovely", but I was pregnant then so I did look prettier. Even though I only gained 5 kilos during my entire pregnancy my face looked a bit fuller and it looked nicer in my opinion.

    I apologise for rambling lol.

Let's go straight to my GOALS: shorter face with a shorter lower and mid part of the face. Shorter jaws and chin and a V line. As dramatic as possible, meaning,
as dramatic as long it's safe!

First I thought I should have V line and grafting and later rhino, but this year I decided that I definitely need two jaw if I want my mid face shorter. I also have a narrow face like I already stated and I'm afraid that V line alone won't solve all my "issues". While I considered fat grafting with V line I figured it might not be worth it because I have an insanely fast metabolism and I feel like it would only be a waste of time and money. I have a baby now so I can't just fly to Korea whenever I feel like it. I want something permanent. Perhaps in the future I will consider fat grafting, but right now I just want to have two jaw and V line. Some clinics told me to just have V line, some to have two jaw..

I contacted many clinics. DARPS, Gng, View, JK, JW, REGEN, The face dental..
My first choice was View, but after my second consultation with them I felt like they didn't really listen to what I wanted. I kept saying that my mid face is also long and that I had a fear that V line also won't change my face much, but they kept telling me that they mostly do two jaw if you have a severe bite problem. On their website however, it says that you can have two jaw if you have a long face and I do have a long face. I still think they are a great clinic though and I like the results on their website. Sadly I just wasn't impressed by them during the second consultation.

With lots of research and thinking I finally made a decision to go with The Face Dental.
So far I have only had an online consultation with the clinic, with Dr. Lee the Head surgeon to be exact (for those who don't know, he is the only surgeon and he owns the clinic
First I e mailed the clinic, him, then I went on Facebook and chatted with Dr Lee. I have to say that talking to him felt like talking to a friend. He gives off such warm and friendly vibes that I never knew I was gonna get from a surgeon. He is very down to Earth and doesn't promise anything because which is fair from him, because who wants a surgeon who promises you rainbows and unicorns and in the end you get less than that. You just end up getting disappointed.
He definitely sounds like someone who knows what they are talking about. His English is good and I understand him well. He is also very friendly and nice and just gives off great vibes!
I love the results on his website, his prices are very reasonable and much cheaper than the ones from other clinics, he said he can do both natural and dramatic results, but it all depends on your scan and nerve endings etc. I also showed him reference photos and he was honest and said that he will give his best. Because my face is narrow he didn't mention a zygoma reduction, but I did ask out of curiosity. He said that yes I do need it if I want to look more similar like the people on the pictures and he also said that my cheekbones are "irregular". I guess he meant to say that they protrude a bit, but to me it's very minimal and my face already lacks in width so I just told him that perhaps next time. To that he responded that my opinion matters the most after all.
I even shared that I was called a horse face once and told him that I hope he can help me. To that he just said that he can help me and that I shouldn't worry too much!
That was enough for me to tell him that I want to have surgery with him.
I will go to Korea next year, not exactly sure when, but I told Dr. Lee that I will contact him when I know more.
I feel relieved I finally chose a clinic and found a surgeon who I already trust.
The only things that are gonna be tricky for me are the transport to the clinic and back and finding the right accommodation, but I plan to write a post about that because I will need some help from you guys!

From now I will post all updates about my journey with The Face Dental here.

  3. You are so pretty! *.* Can I ask if you also did facial contouring before or two jaw? I´m asking because your face looks visibly smaller and really pretty from a profile

  4. Hi, thank you for sharing your experience  Im glad that you have been happy with your change so far! I also wish you luck on your future ps journey.

  5. Hi! Sorry for the late reply. I forgot my password.
Some clinics only advise double if you have a severe dental problem. A really bad bite!!
Other clinics though, will advise it also if you have a long face with a long mid face even though your bite is okay! I got advised by few clinics to do double jaw and I honestly started considering it because I DO have a long mid face. If only just my lower face was long then I could easily go with just V line. Few clinics advised me against two jaw and said I ˝only˝ need V line, grafting and rhino and these surgeries will make my face shorter. For best results I know that two jaw and V line is the real deal! If I had enough money I think I would do both. I´m just tired of my long, angular and ˝masculine˝ face. Even though I get compliments now I recieved insults in the past and I just can´t seem to shake them off. Of course, it should never matter what other people think, but hey? We live in a shallow world and I also just happen to agree with people that insulted me back then about some things. Sorry for the rant. I hope my answer helps at least a bit

  6. So far, two clinics recommended me two-jaw (REGEN is the second clinic), but REGEN`s price is ridiculously high imo. They quoted me 20 000 000 / 22 000 000 won. No way I`m paying that much money. However, I`m starting to consider getting two-jaw because I know I have also a long/er mid face and V line is mostly shaping / making the lower half of your face shorter and I have both problems and don`t want to rely all my life to fat grafting so I`m definitely gonna consider it. Not to mention, my bite is also a bit bad. Nothing too much, but it is and I do plan to wear braces anyway so..I have to think about it.

  7. I know, but I would never choose a bad clinic to begin with. I think by agreeing to do promo you are most likely to get good surgery! Correct me if I`m wrong. I don`t see anything wrong in promoting a clinic you believe in tbh.

  8. Thanks for the heads up! To be honest, I would like to do promo for a clinic. Mostly because of the discounts. I even asked a clinic if they´d be interested sharing my photos for a discout and they said yes. Think they said they would give me 30% off. However, I´m no sell out and I would still write an honest review after the surgery.

  9. Looks really cute and it´s only the beginning. The shape looks really natural!))

  10. Hey! I totally understand what you mean. Consult with the best clinics you are interested in and Im sure one of their opinions will make the most sense to you. I also have not so much fat on my face so unfortunately I get your struggle haha I hope you will choose wisely and be happy with the results

  11. Hi there! First of all sorry for the late reply, but I am currently without my computer. Feel free to pm me anytime you want though! Sorry to hear you weren´t satisfied with your first surgery :/ Judging from your story the surgeon probably didn´t know what you wanted/needed. That´s why it´s SO important to find a surgeon who has a good comunication with the patient and knows exactly what the patient wants/needs. Would love to hear about your consultation  I personally don´t think US surgeons are bad. They are very skilled!! I saw photos and videos of amazing transformations of trans people. In fact I think they do a better job on trans women then they do on actual women who want to look more feminine LOL. Or maybe that´s just me. I personally respect them and all, but they are a lot more expensive and their aesthetic doesn´t really fit my aesthetic. For you though, I think you should do research on clinics in the USA that you like and in Korea just so you can see the pros and the cons. Getting any type of surgery is no joke so you really NEED to do your research. So please take your time. You only have one face after all ) Best of luck to you and please do keep me and all of us updated! I don´t think I will get surgery this year so I still have time to think things through.

  12. Hey @MissOrange

Thanks so much again for your expertise! I always trust your judgement. Thank you for telling me about GNG. I also noticed that their results are very subtle, but I thought perhaps that´s just me. I still respect them as a clinic though. They do seem safe and I think it all depends how close the nerves are to the bone so perhaps it wasn´t the surgeons fault. Safety should always come first! However I will contact Regen. One more clinic to consult with can´t possibly hurt right? Besides, they already were on my list before, but for some reason I removed them. Maybe because I got scared because they are a bigger clinic. There aren´t any shadow doctors there right?

Thanks again!) I also want to avoid doing two jaw haha

  13. I really don´t know anything about this topic, but I think you should definitely think twice before getting this done. You may like something now, a trend, or a look or whatever, but what if later you don´t like it anymore? You wouldn´t be able to turn back time unfortunately. So please think this through. I´m also a caucasian girl, but personally I would never get something like this done. Not even if I was a K pop fan. Interests change and even your opinion on beauty might change later. You should be careful and in case you do decide to do it choose the best clinic with skilled doctors. Don´t settle for any less!!

  14. I totally agree with you! Again I wish you all the luck on your ps journey and that you will be happy with the results and love your new look )

  15. Hey ) I think I do have bone issues yeah :/ I think I´ll need V line and grafting to add volume to my face. I´m just worried how long will it stay on my face considering I have a very fast metabolism lol. Are you also interested in fat graft? I honestly wonder if I can be happy with just V line alone. LOL oh gosh I didn´t notice that, but I totally understand why people would say that XD The first consultant I had a consultation with was super nice and friendly and this one seems a bit off and impatient which doesn´t give a friendly vibe. Still tho, GNG is one my list because I´ve heard many good things about it  Thanks for pm-ing me. I´ll check it out

I thought I might visit it this year, but I´ll probably do it next year when I earn some money and do some more research. Getting surgery is not a small thing and you really need to be sure that you want to do it. I still wish I didn´t want to do it and that I was happy with the way I look, but I´m just not and haven´t been since I hit puberty and my face start changing, growing ugh :// What about you? When do you plan to go?

  16. Hey!) Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it! I wish you luck on your journey and keep my fingers crossed that in the end you get what you want  Please do update me/all of us haha You can pm me anytime you want as well )

I definitely think that the doctors can give you better advice once you do a head scan and once they touch your face. I´m definitely not looking for perfection. I just want to be prettier and have a feminine face. I can totally live with a few natural ˝flaws˝ on my face.

GNG advised me that if I don´t plan to do two jaw that I can do rhino which might make my face appear shorter. I don´t think I´d be happy with just rhino tho and I don´t really like the new online consultant of GNG. The one before was much more friendly and patient, but GNG IS a good and safe clinic so I don´t mind that much that the online consultant seemed a bit impatient with me haha The new one is called Veronica. She´s ok but just a bit impatient imo. She said that my mid face is long. Other clinics just advised me V-line and fat grafting so decisions, decisions haha
I remember when I first sent my photos to DAPRS and they just advised me to do grafting. They said my face is already small so who is right? Lol

Right now I´m interested the most in V-line and grafting. Rhino perhaps as well because my nose is already long so after V-line it might look even longer :/ I´ll have to see. My plan is to get as little surgeries as possible.

  17. Hey people! So I´ve been on this forum longer then I have been a user lol. I did a lot of ˝lurking˝ that´s for sure and many things I´ve red here have been super helpful so far. If it wasn´t for this forum I would have probably chose ID (blacklisted clinic be aware purseforum newbies!!!) to do my surgeries (YIKES). Fortunately for me this amazing forum with its amazing people exists

This is my first topic ever created on this forum so please bear with me ok? :P

So I´m definitely doing a lot of research still and clinics I contacted (View, DA, GNG and Cooki) gave me their opinion on my case.

I have a long, angular face, but my jaw is wide/boxy/square and my chin is also square/too long. My face is also very skinny (low fat). I just think my face is mascular in general! I know that some people would disagree with me on this, but I think my face is masculine and of course I would like to make it nice and feminine.

I´m just wondering if any of you have the same issue with your faces like me? If yes then can you please share what did you do to ˝fix˝ it or what do you plan to do to make your face look nice and small and overall better!!!

I have only been advised to do two jaw by GNG, but other clinics advised just V-line and grafting.

Can V-line and grafting also make a long face shorter/smaller or does a person need two jaw for that? I don´t have a bite problem at all so I would definitely like to avoid getting two jaw if I can.

I would love to hear some opinions and personal experiences on this from you guys )

    Cheers guys and girls x
