  1. i wouldn't recommend her.. my eyes came out very uneven even after going with ur twice for a revision

  2. Hey I totally get what you mean.. and to be honest I am getting fc surgery as well but after months of research, I am still unable to find a doc in the U.S that specialize in fc here.. my guess is because of the different beauty standard so with v-line especially, it's best to go to SK for it, despite the lengthy travel time and travel costs etc. While some clinics can be shady or factory, there are also some clinics that many posters have gone to with successful results. Vline in SK is prob one of their most demanded surgeries (like BA in the US for example) so the doctors there are probably quite experienced

Fat graft to my eyes to fix the hollowness.

  3. Hey guys!
Just wanted to share my experience since I just got my eyes done..
My eyes were previously really botched where the crease was uneven, weak, and the doc took out too much skin/fat so my eyes ended up looking hollow. I knew my eyes were a tough case and wanted to find a good doc that I trust and also understand asian features.. so I started researching asian eyelids docs in the U.S, especially based in either NYC or LA. I had no luck with NYC (where I live) but eventually found a doctor in LA that I felt confidence in.
I sent in my pictures and had a Skype consult, and after that, I ended up moving forward as I felt the doctor was very knowledgeable, genuine, and confident. I was also going to LA in a couple months so it kind of worked out.
Fast forward from that initial surgery with that clinic, I felt like my eyes were still some-what weak but still much better than what it was originally from the previous botched surgery. So, I texted the consultant and she forwarded my concerns to the doctor. They were then kind enough to offer to fix my eyes, to make the crease stronger for free.. the only thing I had to pay was the OR fee, so I agreed.
My eyes now are still healing as it's only been 2 weeks, but they are looking much better and I am 100% satisfied.
So, to summarize my eye journey..

    First time: botched
Second time: April 2019 - fg to my eyes, medial epi, and ptosis
Third time: Dec 2019 - asian blepharoplasty

And the reason why I chose to stay in the U.S was because I felt like going to SK was not worth it if it was just for asian eyelids.. factoring in airbnb, flights, etc.
And I really appreciate that my doctor was kind enough to offer to fix it after the first time around with her. And while LA is not "local", it is much easier for me to fly to LA than to NYC
If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me as I'd be more than happy to refer my doctor to you.
I wanted to share my experience since it seems like this is a popular surgery and that it is possible to get it done in the U.S if you're open to it.

  4. This thread is helpful and hope to hear more recommendations soon! My top clinic right now is Face Dental.. so many positive reviews but I can't tell if they are promoters or actual reviews  I'm DEATHLY afraid if jaw reduction surgery but I really want it, as long as I find a good, reputable clinic. Anyone can comment on TFD and if the reviews of them being good are actually true and represents the clinic??

  5. I'd like t know where you went as well!

  6. Man- is GNG that good of a hospital anymore? They were high on my list because of the raves (prob from promoters) and now I am seeing BAD reviews of GNG everywhere. Seriously, I don't even know what to believe anymore and it is BEYOND pathetic for these clinics to hire promoters on here. If you're gonna hire promoters, AT LEAST LIVE UP TO THE HYPE. How do these people sleep at night? Knowing they pretty much scammed a good number of people, charging them high prices for surgery, and f%@cking up their faces???

  7. Hey, I actually got it done here in the U.S in California  If you're interested, I can send over her info.

True.. the inner corner looks a teensy bit better today so I'm hopeful. However, it still looks pretty discolored/slightly bruise color for some reason.. I think because I started wearing false eyelashes/eyeliner way too early. Like 1.5 - 2 weeks after.. =/

  8. Yeah I wasn't rubbing but was def touching it last week because allergy season kicked in and I didnt have meds. And no it's not warm at all, feels normal temp. The inner corner just look kinda "beat".. not sure if a keloid scar is forming.. I hope not!

  9. Hey Guys-
I was wondering if those who has had eyelid surgery in the past can share their recovery process.. what kind of stages were there (swelling, bruising) and how long did it take to heal?
I had my eyelid surgery 3 weeks ago and I'm kind of freaking out because I have to admit, I didn't take the BEST care for it.. kind of careless so now my eyes still look kind of bruise/colored and also the scar in the inner corner of my eye doesn't look like it's healing "well". The swelling has gone down but it is still there, and my incision line is still red as ever.
Anyone can offer their experience? -_-

  10. Actually you know what.. he's comparable to Dr. Yoo's prices LOL http://rhinoplastyexpertny.com/rhinoplasty-cost

    Filipino?

Are you Asian yourself? Why did you originally go with him?
And yeah.. after care here is insanely limited lol. I remember I was on my way home after my BA right after surgery, still kinda high as a kite lol. And as for my eyelid surgery, i was out within 2.5 hours. Crazy how there is barely any after care here.

  11. Interesting! GNG was actually quite high on my list.. may I ask why you don't like your nose at GNG?

  12. Unfortunately, I have not come across a doctor I found in the U.S.
Although, I DID just get my revision eyelid surgery 2 weeks ago in CA! However, nose surgery is a bit more complicated and I think as much as I would prefer to do nose here, I may have to travel to KR for it.. I've narrowed it down to GNG, Marble, and View. Never heard of NOPlant.

Yeah, Dr. Yoo is RIDICULOUSLY pricey. $17k for a nose job?!! I am sorry but there is NO way in hell I would pay for that.. I'd rather live with my current nose. I just think that is stupid money you're paying for a nose that has the same result from another skilled doctor but more than twice the cost.
And interesting, I came across Dr. Kassir's work before (I'm actually based in NYC) and while I really like his work, I kind of shy'd away because he wasn't asian lol. I should take a look at him again.. maybe go in for a consult..

  13. Hey All-
Does anyone know or have any experience with Japanese clinics, specifically for rhinoplasty? I know most of the topics here are about SK and Krn doctors but I'd like to explore Japan as well... they're one of the most tech advanced countries in the world so I would imagine they would have some very skilled doctors/clinics. It's a shame we don't hear about them as much :confused1:
