  1. @Gats Not planning on going to korea anytime soon, but I might get it when I'm older. Opera had good results (as good as it can be bc everyone reabsorbs apparently) but I hated their procedure/care!! So I might consider View, Uvom, or actually when I went to Opera there were at least 3 other korean local clinics in the same building, and they seemed to have better customer service and locals went there, so maybe those would even be good options

  2. Update: 1.5 Years

So its been about 1.5 years and I came back to Seoul to get fat grafting, which wow I didn't realize how much I needed until after I got it done. I might write up another review about it, I got it done at Opera and their service was bad but the results seem nice so far. Like really nice. I wish it could stay like this (maybe deswell a little) but my face is actually the cute shape that I've always wanted, finally. Unfortunately, fat grafting is known to reabsorb significantly. :/

Update regarding my vline- so everything is healed properly, there is no numbness, but now I really believe that I could've achieved a better result at a different clinic because my chin is still way too short (when I wanted it to be longer) and still looks weird at some angles, plus there is sag from the side. I actually went back to Regen to see Dr. Oh, and he says its the best he/anyone could do with my face shape...which I took with a grain of salt. I have had friends go to TFD and if I could do it over again, I would go there and not get ripped off like I did at Regen.

  3. @ABcindy So I just got my fg done at Opera. I dont know if it was an extremely busy day or what, but they were 2 hours late when I showed up to my surgery and there is only one english consultant and she was constantly running around and basically had no time for me. They are also pretty slow to reply on Kakao. The clinic itself looks really modern and nice, but its very small (one floor on the top of a huge building full of other ps clinics).

ALSO - the prep for the surgery was MISERABLE. When I got vline, they put me under anesthesia immediately, but the nurses at Opera took over half an hour to strap me down, draw way too much blood, pour cold antiseptic all over my body, and give me antibiotics before they allowed me to get the GA.

That said..I think I like my results so far, but its too early to tell.

  4. I'm so sorry to hear that @1/4 white :o Which doctor did your fat grafting at Regen?

I got mini vline with Dr. Oh at Regen 2 years ago, and while it didn't turn out perfectly at least I healed well.. I see that @BeautyloverOli also did fat grafting with Dr. Oh and had good results.

Does anyone know how fat grafting is at Regen compared with View, Opera, MVP, and Fresh?

  5. I mean no offense to the original poster at all, but I feel like you look really familiar! did Regen post your before/afters on their instagram (or their korean instagram page) several times? Theres this one girl on there who's b/a they posted at least 5 or 6 times and I feel like your facial structure is a lot like hers

btw, @searchforcute93 i also had vline with Dr. Oh, last Dec.

  6. Update: 5 Months
Hi again, thanks for the kind feedback! I'm writing an update since its been nearly 5 months since my surgery. The recovery went well, I really feel only the tiniest bit of numbness around the incision in my gum but everything is functional. I still feel like my head is too small and the doctor cut just a little too much bone. Also I noticed something recently- when I smile, my face looks weird from the side, like a little front piece of chin is drooping down and it definitely looks unnatural... when not smiling, my profile looks significantly better than before. Also the small double-chin does exist and happened to me but doesn't bother me too much.

I haven't been keeping up with the forums but I've read a few negative things about Regen like doctor suspension and them closing down? Some people say its true, some dont, I think they're doing fine but honestly have no idea. After reading more reviews, if I could redo this whole experience, I honestly would probably go to TFD or EU dental because i needed chin correction only. And I've also seen great results from View, Banobagi, and TLPS so I'd probably consider those.

  7. Hi @honii and good luck for your surgery in 2020, you def have a long time to prepare and consider all opinions. For me, the website realself helped a lot as well.

I got mini vline and jaw shaving (slightly on the bottom of both sides) ~2 months ago. You can read the review I wrote on my experience its pretty detailed w/pics if you wanna see
    1. No sagging, but when I lie down and turn at certain angles there is a slight double chin that i didnt used to have before.
    2. So the first 3 weeks, I was swollen and it became to the point of being noticeable around the end of week 3. However, 1 month later I saw friends and even my parents who barely noticed a change. this of course depends on how drastic of a change you want, mine was pretty subtle but definitely made a difference to me. so just make it very clear with your doctor!
    3. If you read my review u can see how much I suffered for the first week lol. Couldnt talk for a few days, could eat normally again maybe at 2 weeks, but by 1 month pretty much everything feels normal and i dont have any numbness not even in my gums. but ofc this will depend on how invasive your surgery is (mini vline vs. vline vs. double jaw, etc)
    4. I couldnt stand the hospital so i left as soon as they let me and didnt stay overnight. Went back to work at week 3
    5. For mini v alone I paid 7.5m isk krw
    hope this helps!

  8. @digitalashes @rose_inbloom I went to Dr. Oh, their head facial contour doctor. They do have competitive prices, but very similar quote to GNG, and I think both are good clinics. I was able to negotiate a tiny bit, plus they give you a discount for paying with cash and letting them use your pictures. They do eyes, but since I didn't get eyes done I dont know too much about it, you can probably check their instagram and message them on kakao/wechat

  9. Hi @M8bel , I feel like I can relate to some of your concerns about having sunken eyes, manly high cheekbones, and a flat forehead. Since I don’t know what you look like, I would think fat grafting could help a lot - they can add fat to specific areas like your forehead and eyelids.

I went to Regen for facial contouring last month and ended up getting mini v-line, and it actually made a big difference in the balance with the rest of my face. Facial contouring can include any bone-cutting surgery (cheekbones, jaw, chin) while fat grafting is taking fat from your stomach/thighs and injecting it into your face. I still want to go back to korea to get fat grafting some day. But I think if youre considering your first surgery, the less is better bc you might find that fixing one thing will make other features look better as well (or i guess everyone is different so it might depend). Anyway, definitely do your research and consult with as many doctors as you can in person to get a feel of what they can do for you! If you have questions about Regen or anything feel free to message me

  10. Update: Week 6

I can’t believe its been a month and 2 weeks already, but I've been getting more used to my face and it's definitely a lot more defined. The tightness around my chin has gotten a lot better, and I think the numbness is fully going away- when I poke my lower gum with my finger, I can definitely feel it. One other weird side effect is that when I sneezed really hard, it felt like I almost dislocated my cheekbone and my whole face was sore for a few days after.

  11. Hi @yahyahh, I was actually thinking about sliding genioplasty for a long time, and finally went to Korea about a month ago (you can read the review on my surgery). When I went for in person consultations at Regen and GNG, they both recommended mini-vline instead, basically to make the bottom of my jaw sharper I guess.

Overall im happy with the results. Its not perfect but the recovery was alright (took 2 weeks to look/eat/speak pretty much normally again) and I've talked to a few people who actually got chin surgery with TFD or EU Dental and had pretty good results! I think TFD is fine especially since it seems lower in cost than some of the bigger clinics, and they specialize in chin/jaw surgeries.

  12. Update: Day 21 after surgery

So it has been 3 weeks since my surgery and over the past week I felt that my chin was changing slightly every day, which should be normal because its still healing right? It makes me feel anxious because I can’t decide if I really like the results yet. I still don't like the 3/4ths angle of my face, my face definitely became bonier and more angular looking after the surgery? I can definitely notice that I can open my mouth wider than last week, though still not at 100%. Smiling with teeth is still a little awkward.

Here is a direct comparison of before (top) and after (bottom):

I’m starting to doubt that Dr. Oh needed to shave off so much bone, I wonder if I should have just stuck with the sliding genio. At some angles it looks like he cut off way too much. I wanted a longer face as well as more volume in the lower half of my face. However, he said he couldn’t make it actually longer, only appear to be longer. And I guess the volume issue couldn’t be addressed due to the limitations of my muscles. It’s important to keep in mind but hard to accept that surgery isn’t perfect, and there can only be so much improvement possible with your current facial structure.
