I can finally see the difference!
My chin is still quite swollen on the bottom but from my side profile I can say my horrid man chin is gone
I am so pleased having been bothered by it for so long.
Before my chin looked like Farquaad from shrek. Now it looks feminine and fits my face.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences on this forum. It has helped me a great deal
I don't think you can stay overnight unless you have two jaw...
I also think having the surgery on a weekend might have something to do with it. Sunday closed for business or something like that
Slept alright, starting to get my energy back.
Will have to continue the soft food diet until my stitches have healed. Not comfortable eating rice and pieces yet. So difficult to clean 100%
Also took a selfie without the compression bandage. My chin is so small and cute
Can even see the slight angle through all the swelling.
How many days did it take until the tingling and burning sensation stopped?
How many days did it take for your swelling to go down?
Were you prepared for the tough recovery after surgery?
Hey guys.
Persistent burning sensation in my lower lip all of last night. Look forward to my checkup tomorrow.
Tried to clean with gargle, drink water twice last night with no difference.
Face feels more taut and squished now if that makes sense...?
Still quite swollen.
Hope to catch a nap or proper sleep today.
Please do not regret having the procedure done
You went all that way, experienced something that you had wanted for such a long time and woke up healthy and alive after.
Money can always be earned back, experiences builds character.
You will know this for later on and you will speak up then
I have had the same procedures as you, still fresh and swollen.
I do not think I will be able to see the final result until maybe a year from now.
The amount of swelling and healing for each patient varies greatly.
I just hope to be able to speak and for some of the swelling to fade by the end of the month
Hello guys
Had a checkup and laser treatment today. No infection, healing well.
Was able to eat a slice of cheesecake as breakfast today. It tasted sooo good...
Think the worst of aching and burning pain has passed.
Managed to get a decent amount of sleep last night as well.
I think everyone should be advised that nothing you read here on the forum will prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for the pain and discomfort of day 1 to day 3. There is tingling and burning and aching all over your face and lips and it never stops.
It really does something to you when you are already feeling weak from not being able to eat or drink.
If I could I plan this trip over again I would have gone with Air bnb or hostel with people going through the same thing.
Good news is I'm a sissy and really do not like being left alone in these kinds of situations and I've somehow pulled through.

Please check out which soft foods you know you can eat BEFORE the surgery and stock up if you can and bring water
I'm not able to walk far at the moment as I've only been able to eat twice a day. Very small meals as well.
But I have walked from my hotel and to the clinic and back for all my appointments and straight after surgery.
I'm not able to speak smoothly or move my lips yet. Hope this improves in the coming days
Did not manage to eat anymore last night.
Got about 2hrs of sleep
My jaw also gradually started to heat up during the night from the swelling and the pain was/is real bad.
Looking forward to a check up tomorrow morning.
Have to force myself to eat today, got to get my energy levels back
Had a checkup at the clinic today. Everything is healing fine and I even got a laser treatment.
But I look like a chipmunk at the moment
So swollen! Might be peak swelling day today and tomorrow...
Managed to finally eat some scrambled eggs and some rice.
Still tired and not up to walking around much though because of eating
so little.
Will try to eat some more scrambled eggs later and see if I can manage to regain some energy.
Was so uncomfortable last night becase one side of my nose was congested and the other side spurted blood at random times. My throat was also very sore and kept filling up with snot and blood that I was unable to swallow so I had to cough a lot to clear my throat. Was able to sleep for a total of 1 hr
Had a small checkup at the clinic even though they were actually closed. Everything was alright, but I needed to drink more water, try to walk around a bit more.
After returning to the hotel I tried to drink some soft food but was only able to drink 1/5 because of my congested nose and sore. Was able to drink lots of water though and felt so much better.
I napped after taking my medicine and woke up feeling rested.
Hello again
I've spoken with TFD today and paid my deposit.
Surgery is set for tomorrow, so scary and exciting all at once
The doctor showed me the x ray and luckily he is able to cut off as much bone as I wanted, no nerves nearby
Not that long from my hotel and to the clinic, but I think I will stay the first night at the clinic if I don't feel like resting alone.
Also bumped into "one of us" on the street today and spoke a bit to her.
She was quite swollen but walking around already. I'm sure she will
be recovered soon.
Will be trying to get some sleep tonight...
Speak to you soon
I'm in Korea right now waiting for my consultation with TFD tomorrow.
So excited and so nervous...
My surgery is planned for Monday so it's very close!
So much to see and buy here in South Korea,
I swear my check in luggage is bursting already and it has only been 2 days!?
I'll try to update you on my recovery as soon as I know more
