Hi everyone! I am looking for some good and trustworthy skin clinics in Seoul. I have been to Me Clinic for Rejuran injection into my neck and wasn't impressed with their level of their skill and their prices are high considering they are a very small clinic. I have also been to Oracle and their prices are very reasonable but wasn't impressed with their doctor who did Rejuran injection into my face. I still have bumps under my skin that I can feel them when I touch my face. I did some Ultrasound procedure for body tightening at Toxnfill and their prices are also very reasonable but none of these clinics have skilled dermatologists.

If anyone knows of a reputable skin/ dermatology clinic in Seoul, please share the information and your experience with them.I'm mostly interested in Rejuran injection.

 

I am one of the people who fell for this fake post on Dr. Lee at Area88 and went to Dr. Lee for a facelift. I paid 19 million won and I don't see any obvious change between my before and after pictures but have scars. Actually before I went to Dr. Lee because of this post, I went to many doctors in the US and all told me the only thing they may do on me would be fat transfer. Many great doctors like Dr. Eshima who is one of the most expensive doctors in San Francisco, told me he couldn't do and would not recommend anything on my face. I even went to View and Dream hospitals here in Seoul and they all said I didn't need a face lift. View only recommended Botox in my jaw line. But Dr. Lee even the first time I sent him my pictures said I needed an extended face lift. I thought after he'd see me he might say I wouldn't need a face lift because all these great doctors in Beverly Hills and NYC said they wouldn't do a face lift on me.

As soon as Dr. Lee saw me in person he said again I needed 2 fat transfers and an extended face lift. He was so nice in the first visit and looked at my face in different angles, pulled my skin in a few directions and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. I asked him to show me some of his works and he showed me some of his works and I thought they haven't changed and when I told him what I thought he said many of his patients don't want a drastic change and only want to look refreshed! I showed him pictures of my ideal face and he said he could achieve my goal through a face lift. I really wanted to believe him and honestly I didn't see any signs that make me question his skills.

since I was already in Seoul, I asked him to perform the first fat graft and he did a very minimal fat transfer. He said the first time he would just make my face look more symmetrical. He made me pay $3,300 for a fat transfer and a PDRN. After the fat transfer I didn't see much change but I thought this is only to make my face symmetrical. So went back to the US and came back in May for the face lift. He told me I needed to wait 2 months after the far transfer. I did the fat transfer in November but could go back to Seoul until May. I received a few messages from his office that if I wait too long he wouldn't do the face lift and i need to start a new treatment plan. Originally he said 21 million if I pay with credit card and if I pay in cash, it would be 18 million. He said he was giving me a really good price for 2 fat transfers, 3 PDRN and a face lift..

I went back in May and he performed the face lift....He charged me another extra1 million won to inject fat in my jaw. The fat transfer was also minimal. For 10 days he wrapped my face was in extensive bandage and i looked like a mummied alien. The wound care was horrible. Every time they changed the bandage they had to cut my hair because the tapes were all sticking to my hair and they couldn't detach them without cutting my hair. The bandage was overkill and unnecessary. I couldn't tell how i looked due to the bandage covering all my face and only a small portion of my face was showing. He would change my dressing every 2 days. When he unwrapped my face after 10 days I saw one side of my face looked droopy. I told him and he said it was due to swellings and it would go away in a few months and I should not worry about it. My face wasn't droopy like that before the face lift but I trusted him and after 13 days I went back to the US. After a 2 months I realized my right side is different from the left side and looks droopy and one of my ears has an odd look. I contacted Dr. Lee translator and sent my pictures. She showed them to the doctor and he said I was still healing and I shouldn't worry. After 3 months I went back for my 2nd fat transfer and he performed a fat transfer. The fat transfer on my face was even less obvious that the first time. no swelling or bruising and no change either.

My face looks the same as when I started. It might be a little tighter around the jaw line but my jaw line was not droopy to begin with. One side of my face after 4 months still looks droopy. My ear lobe has a misplaced stitch that makes my ear look weird and screams face lift. I paid 19 million won plus three plane tickets from the US to Seoul and the accommodation for a month. Overall I spent more than $23,000 for a face lift with no obvious change but now I have scars and one side is also droopy.

I strongly believe miame44 and many of these people who started this thread and praised Dr. Lee and his skills are promoters. I have received many private messages from people who went to Dr. Lee because of this post and they all regret it. not even one of these people are happy.

I waited until now and gave Dr. Lee a chance to correct my face but he told me that I have to wait another year before he can correct it. Also he received the money in cash and when I asked him for a letter that says I had a surgery at his office in case I am questioned by immigration about my bandage and also about the $17,000 that I enter South Korea, he denied it.

My advice to anyone who is following this thread is do NOT believe what you heard about Dr. Lee being the best face lift surgeon in Korea. He is a regular surgeon who charges the prices of the best and most famous Beverly Hills doctors and uses old techniques. In my 3 trips to Korea I can tell you that i am not a bit impressed with the skills of the Korean doctors. they cannot be compared to the US doctors. i have friends who have done face lift in the US and their recovery was smooth but me being a perfectionist I thought I can see a better result if I go to Dr. Lee.

I will not go back to Dr. Lee even for the correction. He'd probably will charge me again and i'm afraid of more complications and more scars.

Miame44 stopped responding to me after I booked my second trip for my facelift. She has sent me some fake pictures that showed a drastic before and after change.

 

Interestingly I have seen ugly selfies from people who are beautiful and gorgeous selfies from very regular looking peoole. Selfies cannot be trusted.
I got a Rejuran treatment at Area88 on Wednesday. I have to admit it was painful. A bit more painful than PRP. He emphasized that I need 3 treatments before I see any results.
I also visited Dream Hospital and ASAP and VIP because they are located so close from each other. I was seen by the consultant and the eye plastic surgeon at Dream the eye doctor warned about the risks of eye dryness after any cosmetic eye surgery and instead he referred me to the dermatology department. Dream Hospital is such an elegant and professional hospital. I was impressed by the size of their modern equipment and furniture. There were so many beautiful Korean women in the lobbies at each floor. I wasn't impressed by VIP although I couldn't get a consultation because I didn't have an appointment. I probably won't even go back.
So far I liked Dream but I will try to check out View clinic tomorrow..
Dream consultant and the eye PS recommended a dermal injection called Chanel that according to them is made of HA, amino acids and other nutrients. They said they didn't recommend Rejuran but recommend Chanel injection. The cost is 1 million won for each injection and you need 3 injection to see the results. My skin has still needle marjs all over by Rejuran injection but i am going to see their dermatologist tomorrow for a consultation.

JS you looked great even before the surgery! Very youthful and you didn't have much laxity to begin with. The pictures of your stiches also look great. Amazing how accurately and neatly they are place.
In my first communication with ASPS I got this impression they know what they are talking about and their prices are very reasonable. They seemed honest to me. I liked their recommendation in my case. They even explained where they will be injecting the fat. I am planning to see them on Monday November 12.
so far I liked ASPS and View. MVP is very prompt in responding to inquiry and they seems to know what they are doing. I also contacted Renovo Skin Clinic and their recommendations.
So glad that you are doing better and that healing so well. cannot wait to see your results.

 

I totally agree with Dr. Lee's assessment and recommendation. I have an appointment with him on November 12. His fee is ridiculously high but seems he is really good at facelift. thanks a lot for the feedback.

 

did you also do a fat graft or only face lift and brow lift?

 

I contacted ASPS and they replies promptly. They recommended fat graft and nose job. This is what they said: "You'd better to have fat graft and cut the hooked nose.". I never thought i had a hooked nose but seems I have one! They also do stem cell. I will definitely set up an appointment with them.
I also contacted Line and their prices are ridiculously high compared to their recommendations don't seem valuable for the price they are charging.
View Clinic seems more knowledgeable and they also recommended fat transfer. They price is close to ASPS.
MVP also suggested fat graft and the price is lower than both ASPS and View. They initially asked me if I wanted my cheeks to be done and i explained I don't want any bone shaving procedures because they cause skin sagging.
I also contacted Dream and they only suggested PRP and laser but I asked their cost of Rejuran and fat graft. They charge 1.5 million kwon for 4cc of Rejuran. Their fat graft is higher than Area88, ASPS and View. Talking to these clinic I started thinking they give foreigner some odd price to see how they react. Line is way off on their prices. will not even go to them for the initial consult.

 

I'm sure there was a reason why they didn't put a lot of fat in your cheeks. It must be hard to know how much volume one would need right after a face lift when the face is swollen. For now don't worry about anything. I am sure you will be very happy at the end.

I went back to my notes and I saw the View quoted 1.2 million for 2CC of Rejuran and Dream quoted 1.5 million for one seesion ( not sure how many cc) and 3 session 3 million. I need to figure out how many cc they use. I think for the full face you need at least 4 cc.

 

I agree that the doctors want to sell but I heard about Rejuran benefits for skin rejuvenation through one of the PF veterans. She is very knowledgeable. I may try that but we won't know if they work or not without trying. I will let you know if it works or not.

 

BTW, Area88 has quoted 3.5 million Kwon for first fat graft and 1.5 million for second fat graft.Dream quoted 4.7 million Kwon and View View quoted 3.5 million for fat graft a few months ago

 

Gats as I explained to HanaZ i am still exploring my options. I am trying to find the best solution for making my skin thicker and youthful. I have large pores and mild acne scars. PRP is different from Stem Cell. I did a PRP and micro needing treatment in the US last week for $600. I see my skin looks softer and more youthful but I am not sure how long the results would last. I also want to try Reuran injections that costa about 1.5 million Kwon. They say the results last for 2 years. I asked View who suggested Stem Cell injection what i should expect after getting that done and they couldn't explain to me how it worked. They told me I needed to talk to their doctors. If Stem Cell injection cannot deliver a noticeable result and only happens at the cellular level, I won't be doing it. If the doctors can convince me with medical facts that it works and it work systemically versus locally 9 million is reasonable.

 

Desr HanaZ I will definitely share my experience with you if I decide to do Stem Cell. I am also considering getting Rejuran injections. I heard those also improve skin texture and the results can last for 2 years. The cost of Rejuran injection is around 1.5 million Kwon.

 

I can totally relate. Even in the US plastic surgery is a business and the doctors sometimes act like a car dealer trying to sell things that don't work. I have paid so much for many procedures that didn't so anything like RF Profound, Ultherapy, HiFu.

 

I'm not sure what Stem Cell does but when I asked View about getting something done for my skin to make it look more fresh, youthful and thicker, they recommended Stem Cell. The cost of Stem Cell is 9 million KWON and I am not sure if it is worth it or not. I still need to do more research on it. Check out this link on MVPS:

I will still keep my appointment with Area88 but I doubt I will go with their recommendation because none of the doctors in the US or even the clinics I talked to recommended a face lift and Dr. Lee from area is the only one who recommends a face lift. Based on my pictures View suggested fat graft on the forehead, a small nose job to create a curve and Stem Cell. The stem cell costs 9 million KWON and I am not sure what exactly it does. I also contacted MVPS and Dream so far. I would like to get a lateral canthoplasty but they need to see me in person to determine if that can be done or not. Good luck on your procedures. I'm sure you will love the results.

 

I'll be visiting Seoul only for a week so there won't be enough time for any surgery but am planning to check out some clinics and see what they recommend, what options are available in SK and compare prices and their procedures.

 

I'll arrive in Seoul on November 11 around 8:00 pm.

 

I have scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lee at Area88, November 12, for consultation. He quoted 18 mill KRW for an extended SMAS that to me is way too high, even higher than plastic surgeons in Beverley Hills.. I also consulted with Dream, View and many other clinics and all of them said I didn't need SMAS lift. Dr. Lee quoted 3.5 mill KRW for fat transfer. May I ask how much Area88 quoted for face lift? Please share your experience with these clinics. Good luck on your surgery.
