  1. Hi,
I don't know if you spoke with him, he's looking for a rhinoplasty surgeon (a nose doctor as they call them). He spoke with many doctors and found about 3 he likes.
He is mostly impressed with Kim Joon (or Jun) (김준) from baroko.co.kr But I could not find him on prskorea.co.kr, which is why we are a bit concerned. I guess he likes this doctor because he says he does only nose surgeries, but I couldn't find anything on him, except his facebook page and that he says he attended some congress meetings.
He also saw one more surgeon that showed up with "Suspended of qualification" on prskorea.co.kr The doctor said that is just a club he is no longer interested in, so I've sent them an email asking what that meant but they did not reply, I've even called but I'm getting some Korean robot which I have no idea what it says.
Does anyone know if prskorea.co.kr is for real or not, if a doctor does not show up there it means it doesn't exist?

  2. Hello everyone, I am looking for a good doctor for my brother who wants to do a rhinoplasty reconstructive surgery in Korea.

Thanks to you I understood there are different kinds of plastic surgeons and on top of that some might also be suspended or not certified at all. My question now is how to tell what a surgeon is specialized in, or better yet how to find one specialized in noses, or reconstructing noses?
I found the "Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons" website (http://www.plasticsurgery.or.kr/php/eng/s01_01.php) but their search engine doesn't work. Does anyone know how I could get a list of reconstructive surgeons? I also saw there is a "Korean Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association" (http://www.plasticsurgery.or.kr/conference/f75/html5/p_about_welcome.php) but I can't find a website to get a list of doctors. I would greatly appreciate any idea.

    Thank you,
    Monica
PS my brother's kakao talk id is yannisdim (I've noticed some members post that)

  3. Hello Ladies, me again, still looking for a good doctor for my brother who wants to do a rhinoplasty reconstructive surgery in Korea.

Thanks to @ygjiope I understood I have to look for a good doctor and not a good clinic, which makes absolute sense, thank you. Thanks to @SandyMaxwell (# I understood there are different kinds of plastic surgeons and on top of that some might also be suspended or not certified at all. Here is where one can verify a surgeon (http://www.prskorea.co.kr/english/) My question now is how to tell what a surgeon is specialized in, or better yet how to find one specialized in noses, or reconstructing noses?

  4. Hello,
Has anyone had their "depressor septi nasi muscle" reattached? Or has anyone had it cut and then did something about it afterwards? Has anyone ever asked their surgeon for any before and after photos of previous patients to see that they have any positive results? My brother has been in Korea for the past two weeks asking doctors if they can do the reattachment procedure and if he could see any photos or talk to any other happy patients, but none of them provided him with any proof. How could someone know if a doctor has any experience or not and if their results are any good or not? I would greatly appreciate any kind of advice.
    Thank you in advance,
    Monica

  5. Dear Ygjiope,
I like what you said and it makes absolute sense for someone to look for a good doctor and not a good clinic. But how could someone find if a doctor is any good or not? My brother is in Korea at the moment looking for a doctor to reattach the "depressor septi nasi muscle" and for the past two weeks he asked every doctor if he could talk to one patient who had that kind of surgery and was satisfied, but no one agreed. So, how could someone find out if a doctor has experience with a certain kind of surgery or not? Do doctors in Korea keep track of their patience to see if their surgery was a success or not? Is it possible to meet with an ex patient?
    Thank you,
    Monica
