  1. Hi everyone! I want to go to S. Korea for rhinoplasty next spring, but I'm having a hard time pinning down a clinic that consistently produces great results. If you have had rhinoplasty in Korea and loved your experience, please show and tell!

I need a lateral osteotomy, alar reduction, and bridge augmentation.

    I'm looking for:
    1. A fantastic surgeon who takes pride in his/her work
    2. A clean facility
    3. Great aftercare
    4. A great translator

Please tell me about your experiences. Please, PM me or add me on Kakao if you'd prefer: helloresa

    Thanks!

  2. I personally think that you're gorgeous; I wouldn't change a thing, but the most important opinion is your own. If you are committed to making a change because you feel that it would improve your quality of life and you feel emotionally mature enough to make that decision, then go ahead. But don't let the negativity of others - especially strangers - compel you to make a decision. I have known people who get negative comments just because they are beautiful and they look like they know it. There are people out they who will want to shame you just because the way you look makes them feel insecure about the way they look. I have heard men talking about women needing to be "knocked down a peg." There are any number of reasons a person would believe they are justified in insulting you to your face, but that does not make them true, nor should you use them as validation of any preconceived notions you have about your appearance. Those people are jerks, and honestly, your friends don't sound like real friends at all. Friends should elevate you, not seek to make you feel bad about yourself.

Now, the best thing you can do if you want to pursue invasive treatment is to just consult with a few surgeons. Tell them what features you want to improve and weigh your options. Good luck!

  3. Hi! JK, GNG, and Banobagi are the clinics I’m mostly considering at this stage. JK is at the top of my list because their work looks so tailored and natural. Of course, I’ve also read that they tend to be expensive. I’m waiting on an initial quote back from them, but from the beginning I feel that their response time and customer service is excellent.

Aside from watching the twins’ vlogs on their surgeries, I haven’t done any real research on Cinderella Clinic, but I’m not considering their clinic because I don’t feel that they could give me a nose that looks natural on my face. The twins look beautiful without question, but - in my opinion - not very natural. Of course, “natural” doesn’t fit into every person’s idea of beauty. Natural or not, you have to go for the look that pleases you best. Good luck!

  4. Yeeeeees! I saw her pictures on their website and I was all over their social media accounts trying to find out who the surgeon was. No luck, unfortunately. I sent them a message a few days ago to inquire about it, but as of yet there has been no response.

Are you wanting a dramatic change to your nose? I’m pretty sure I’ll need one, but I’m hoping that (whichever surgeon I choose) can make it look as natural as possible.

I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know how consulting at JK goes!

I hope your consults go well!

  5. Have you watched her vlog on the surgeries?

There is another video as well where she and her twin talk about their operations and experiences with Docfinder and Cinderella. You can see their post-op results all healed. The v-line suits her.

  6. I’m from the US and I’ve been researching Korean clinics to do my rhinoplasty as well. I can’t recommend a clinic to you based on personal experience, but in regards to your dilemma in choosing between an American surgeon and a Korean one, it’s a personal choice. For me, I know that it would be easier to find an American surgeon and possibly more cost effective, all things considered, but I feel that the results achieved by Korean surgeons look more natural and are more in line with my personal sense of aesthetics.

Also, perhaps you could talk to your doctor about getting a cartilage graft instead of a silicone implant. I absolutely do not want a silicone implant, myself, as I’ve read that such implants have higher chances of shifting and infection.

  7. Your post has been very informative! I have just discovered purseblog. I’ve been looking into Korean plastic surgery clinics to do my rhinoplasty, but it’s difficult finding the right doctor. I’ve been leading toward GNG since they have experience with non-Asian foreigners, but I want to add some other facilities to my short-list before making my final decision. I’m going to be doing so research on Dream as well. Would you happen to have any info on GNG? Or would you be able to recommend some other reputable clinics I could look into?
