  1. Thank you Miss Orange! I will check that out.
I’m in Korea now and had one consult with Dr. Kang at JW who is their anti aging specialist. I liked his calm but friendly demeanor as well as Emily the translator. They recommended a face/necklift and endoscopic forehead lift for about 20,000 krw. But immediately offered discounts including the 10% tax at the clinic which apparently is better than the 6-7% at the airport, and another 10% for multiple procedures, so $16281 at the end. I’m hoping that’s a good number because I did like them. I’ll keep you posted if I see any others .

  2. Hi Hautelady,
Koreans often put the last name first, so I thought it was Dr. Jo (also I think I once saw it as Cho), but perhaps it is Dr. Woo . I wonder if he had a noncompete clause in his contract so that after he left, he is not allowed to practice within a certain radius of Dreams facilities for a certain time period. That’s fairly common in the US. Let’s keep each other posted and hopefully someone here knows something.
Anyone else have a great experience with their facelift in Korea? I’m leaving this Sunday. I can post again on what I find there .

  3. I’m a plastic surgery newbie and looking for recommendations on who to consult for a face lift in Korea in about 2 weeks (just initial consultations, not the surgery since I’m only there a few weeks with family). I had heard of Dr. Jo Yong Woo of Dreams, but he is no longer listed on their website and I can’t find where he went. It seems many do facelifts, and the information is confusing and overwhelming, yet still feels incomplete. I’m from the US but Korean in ethnicity. I don’t speak Korean fluently, in my late 40s with younger kids, and looking for a doc with excellent education/credentials/skill (aren’t we all?) so I can get good results for my flabby jowls and neckline in a big round face, and get on with my life .
I realized a surgeon can be good, but have his own niche. I’m looking at VIP, JK, and JW, and maybe Dream. Any thoughts or other recommendations?

  4. Hi, I am leaving for Seoul end of May for a few weeks to travel with family but recently thought to have some consultations with plastic surgery clinics while there.
My secret hope is I can even do a quick procedure while there for my sagging jowls (I’m pushing 50), jawline definition and chubby cheeks for a reunion a few weeks later .
I’ve heard of the above procedures But the more I try to research, the more confused I feel. Does anyone know of any places or doctors who are well regarded and skilled in these areas?
In the long run, I will probably need to do a facelift, neck lift and zygoma procedure. Maybe it’s better just To have some consults and wait for a more permanent procedure? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
