  1. Sorry, I wasn't clear! My post was in reference to my family friend (not related to any of the girls in the photos) having a similar surgery in China to achieve that particular aesthetic. It was also to say that this look is more of "Eurasian/Angela baby" compared to the kpop idol look. I say that she and her friends all have a similar face based on the selfies they all take together, and also because I've seen her pre plastic surgery face before.

Since another poster asked about where my family friend got her surgery for this kind of look, I responded with the fact that this particular family friend didn't want to disclose her clinic to me because she didn't want anyone to know she had work done (which is fair as we're not particularly close).

  2. I wish I could help but she has still refused to tell me to this day (it's been about 3 years since the surgery)! She has been very quiet about where she got it because she doesn't want other people to know it was plastic surgery...so I backed off to respect her wishes.

  3. Just wanted to add in that I also found DFK to be a bit more expensive compared to when I talked to the clinics on FB messenger, or Kakao on my own. I think they can be helpful as a security blanket, especially if it's your first time in Seoul and you'd prefer to have a local guide that might bring you to different areas or order food for you while you're recovering.

However, I echo what @daysuntilpretty and @hh_kr22 said about the cost of service though. I, personally, don't find it justifiable to pay the few extra million won. However, I can understand why it can still be a beneficial service.

In my case, I asked for chin and nose fillers from DFK, thinking why not, I'm curious to see who they recommend, and perhaps I will get a better discount. I sent the same photos to DFK as well as the clinics I consulted with online (View, Dream, MVP, DAPRS, Meclinic, Grace). DFK gave me chin implant estimates in the 3-5 mil KRW before face to face consultations, which is really high to me because I had another clinic quote me 2 mil KRW as a starting point before face to face consultations, AND included free transportation, deswelling injections and laser skin care. This price was given to me when i asked them on kakao and before tax free. Based on cost for fillers, the range from my own research was 300,000 KRW to 800,000 KRW per cc from the different clinics I talked to while DFK quoted me anywhere from 600,000 KRW to 2,000,000 KRW per cc.

So, when I see that much of a difference (implant: 1~3 mil KRW, fillers: 300,000 ~1,700,000 KRW), I get a bit skeptical about whether DFK really helping me find the best cost with reputable clinics. DFK didn't give me the names of the clinics, they just labeled them as clinic A,B,C,D,E...I didn't push to ask for the names because the cost difference was quite a huge turn off, especially since some of the things they highlight (free transportation, arguing for best price for you etc) was already provided as part of the cost to me by the clinic along with extras like deswelling injections, laser, etc. :/ I don't doubt that it would be Banobagi. ID, GNG though, it seems common that they recommend these particular clinics.

Again, this is just my experience, some members have had great success with DFK, others have opted out. Ultimately, it's up to you

  4. You can pay in cash or with the t-money card (transit card similar to octopus card from hk, oyster card from UK, Compass from Vancouver, suica from tokyo etc). I'd suggest buying a t-money card and load it up. You can always get a refund when you leave korea. It's also handy because can drivers will accept it as a form of payment, and so will a variety of convenience stores!

  5. Yeah, I'm aware that DFK is an agency, it's their choice to not reveal their clinic names to me, but from a quick keyword search on this forum, I see that others who have utilized the DFK service often list Banobagi, ID and the like from their experience with DFK. Prices often vary and some of the bigger clinics will charge foreigners exponentially more. I think a general consensus is that the foreigner friendly/ heavily marketed to foreigner clinics often demand much higher prices. Unfortunately, it seems like DFK tends to work closely with those kinds of clinics.

A search on this forum will show that quite a few users have gone to MVP for their surgeries. They have three major surgeons and an in house anesthesiologist. I personally like their B/A which is why I consulted with them. I won't know if I'll go with them until the face to face as I had a pleasant online experience with Dream as well. Keep in mind that every clinic has both negative and positive reviews, so ultimately it is up to you  I'm going to make my choice by how professional the clinic is via online consultation, if their B/A fits my aesthetic, and face to face consultation.

  6. DFK only gave me names like "clinic A" , "clinic B" etc, but I'm guessing it's GNG, Banobagi, ID, Regen, etc...it seems like those are the ones they often recommend anyway.

MVP Clinic is the one that started off with 2,000,000 KRW for chin augmentation/implant. They did warn me by saying this is the initial and it will change once a face to face consultation is conducted since that's when they can will be able to give me a more in depth explanation of what needs to be done. The range for DFK chin implants from the 5 clinics they recommended (a,b,c,d,e) was 3,000,000 KRW to 4,500,000 KRWKRW start. (Sorry, I just went back to check my email from DFK and mixed up the chin implant range with one of the rhinoplasty ones!).

I sent the same photos to both DFK, and MVP (and a few other clinics...DA, Me Clinic, Grace, Dream, the View) , initially to inquire about the cost of fillers and other non invasive procedures to create a more v line chin. Besides DFK and MVP, the rest said they can do fillers and recommended an implant, however they didn't give me the cost .

Even based on cost for fillers, the range from my own research was 300,000 KRW to 800,000 KRW per cc from the different clinics I talkes to while DFK quoted me anywhere from 600,000 KRW to 2,000,000 KRW per cc.

  7. I also used DFK initially out of curiosity. When I saw they gave me chin implant estimates in the 3-6 mil KRW before face to face consultations, I balked, not because I'm cheap but because I had another pretty reputabler clinic quote me 2 mil KRW as a starting point before face to face consultations, AND included free transportation, deswelling injections and laser skin care. This price was given to me when i asked them on kakao and before tax free. That clinic fully understood that I am a foreigner from Canada. So, when I see that 1-4 mil KRW difference, I get a bit skeptical about whether DFK really helping me find the best cost with reputable clinics.

  8. @tomie I hope you are in a better mental state now  I worry about the same thing which is why I'm currently looking at non-invasive first before committing to something permanent. However, I think you look super pretty, and still natural! Your experience was also helpful for me, thank you for your honesty.

I understand your concern, especially since it's our face and bodies on the line, It's scary when there are a lot of fake reviews. But in this case, I don't think @tomie is a shill, just because she spoke well of a clinic doesn't automatically mean she's on their payroll. She's also been quite open about how she felt, the other consultations she's gone through etc. After seeing her B/A, I can definitely say she isn't pretending to be a fake customer, she's had the procedures done, she (for the most part) likes it, and wanted to share her experience as a way to give back to the community that helped her narrow down her clinic choices. You have a good tip on finding specialized surgeons for different surgeries, I think that's helpful for everyone to keep in mind. Especially if you have a certain ideal look/aesthetic that you're going for.

As a S/N: Personally, I would not mind allowing a clinic to post up my B/A (when I commit to getting surgery) if it looks good. I have a small fanbase, and I believe in transparency, so If I had procedures done, I would mention it to them. Hence, if I really liked what they did to my face, I'd happily consent to having my B/A posted on a clinic's website. I don't have anything to hide from my followers.

  9. That's good to know! I was a little put off by how short their responses are through FB messaging, but it seems like you had a good experience. I booked an initial consultation on their website, so hopefully I'll get some better feeling vibes  Was thinking of doing only petit surgery this time around, so thank you!

  10. Oooh! I was considering meclinic, how was your consultation, and what did you think of rejuran/the clinic?

  11. I'm not quite sure how much laser toning and fraxel etwo laser costs, so I can't say for those.

For rejuran mesotherapy from Seoul Leaguer Dermatology, they quoted me 660,000KRW while ME Clinic had it for 473,000KRW at one point. ME Clinic has all their costs posted upfront on their website, while I consulted with Misooda (an agency) for Seoul Leaguer Dermatology through kakao. I also mentioned that I was a student so that could have factored in a discount as well.

  12. I normally stay in Hongdae, but its 40 minutes from Gangnam. Staying in the Gangnam area would be good if youre only there for PS.
TBH don't worry too much about english, a lot of university students speak english or you can use translation apps to help

  13. I booked my flight to Korea before deciding. It was more of a since I'm there why not get a procedure done (LOL!), I'm close to you on the Canadian Westcoast actually haha.

What I did was start shortlisting some clinics on a spreadsheet and ranked them from Top/Med/Blacklist. "Top" were the ones where I really liked the B/A and I'd be committed to paying a bit more whereas "Med" priority are the ones where I'm interested but not my top picks. I then did online consultations with the "Top" and "Med" listed clinics through Kakao or email.
Most of them responded pretty quickly (within ~week), If I liked their prices, and their professionalism, then I asked to book a consultation, In my case, I won't be in Seoul until Sept so I was able to get consultation slots at the times I wanted (morning). I did not place a deposit on anything because I want to see the clinic, the staff, and their attitude in person first. In my first two weeks of contacting different clinics, I've already booked 4 consultations based on how the consultants treated me, what they recommended and what the price range was. I had two clinics actually persuade me not to do nose fillers because it looks fine already! Look for those kinds of ethics, and it'll help you feel more confident in booking clinics for consultations.

I haven't done a procedure myself yet, but from the forum, it seems like surgery can occur next day or within the week. Perhaps others could chime in here?
Keep in mind that the quoted prices are estimates only. It really will be determined at your face-to-face.
    Hope this helped a bit!!

  14. What procedure did you have done? I like the B/A for des from Dream, but would love to hear (or see) your results!

  15. Thanks for the email! I'll be in Seoul Early September for some consultations (fillers, mesotheraphy and prices for chin implant - this one is longer term since I need to save up funds). I might go to SM and see what they say/what the cost would be for BA. If you dont mind me asking, what size were you before, what are you now, and how big are you going to go with fat graft?
