What kind of Asian plastic surgery are you looking for? I’m going to see Dr Yoo who is based in Beverly Hills next month for Asian Rhinoplasty. Out of all the US surgeons I found his work to be on par to what I look for aesthetically. There is also dr Charles lee who performs asian surgery such as Asian rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery.

I only know of GNG plastic surgery. I would of gone to that place if I got my rhinoplasty done in Korea. If In the USA, i recommend Dr. Yoo. I’m booked to have my surgery done by him next month.

I am 24, 140lbs, 5'4", white/filipino, and from the west coast of the USA. I will be traveling alone.

So I've decided I am going to travel to Seoul the first week of april, and so far I'm thinking of staying about two weeks. I am a bit flexible in my time though, so I could stay longer if necessary. Does anyone know of any nice but budget-friendly (and recovery friendly) hotel or air bnb options? Preferably one near Banobagi as that is the clinic I am most interested in so far.

I plan to consult at various different places for a bulbous-nose rhinoplasty and possible under-eye bag reduction and facial harmony lipo. I am not going for any bone-altering procedures. Rhinoplasty is a definite plan for me; however I need a specialized doctor that can do all-natural materials and deal with reshaping a thick, short bulbous nose. I do NOT want silicone or a revision in the future!

I am also considering (not sure) on doing full-body liposuction and contouring. I am a little over ideal weight (140 vs 120lbs) and would like to do body contouring/etching with fat transfer to the hips and buttocks. I am looking for a surgeon that is exemplary in natural-looking results and is safe in fat-placement procedures (above the muscle not in or below it). I want to go from average body to something like Sierra Skye. Though I am worried about sagging skin/being over done/irregularities and poor fake looking placement of fat. I have not done as much research into lipo and fat transfer in Korea as those in America so if anyone has any information/experience on great doctors please let me know!

I also don't know if I can get the surgeries at the same time. I've read that going back under anesthesia twice in a short period of time is dangerous. If this is the case I will have contouring/BBL in America as I don't plan on traveling all the way to korea twice. I also wonder if it's possible to have an "awake" lipo/fat transfer under localized anesthesia?

Choices so far for NOSE: Banobagi, View, Namu, Wonjin, Dream, The Line, DA. Any others I should consult with?

I like the look of how natural the faces on "The Line"'s website look, but I don't see any reviews from them?

At this stage I am still looking for flights and hotels/air BNBs near the surgery centers. My dates are around april 3rd to april 15, with the possibility of staying longer. I would love to know of any discounts for lodging/food, etc available! Also let me know if you will be getting surgery around that time as I would love to meet up and see the city/ eat with people too. I will be traveling alone!

Did u ever consider getting ur rhinoplasty done in the US? Considering u would have to travel twice, paying for ur flights and accomodation twice. I considered korea also, I’m flying out to US to get my surgery done.

If I did go korea, I would of gone to GNG plastic surgery for rhinoplasty.

When I began my search on plastic surgeons. I researched far and wide of surgeons based in three countries, my local country, korea and USA. From there I googled the best plastic surgeons who performed rhinoplasty for each country & city. Then I looked at their websites, social media content and reviews on real self. Mainly looked at the aesthetics. Then when I was happy with my list, I contacted them all for consultations and ask what their surgery procedure was like and the costs. I ended up choosing a dr in the US purely from the results he is able to achieve aesthetically, because it matched to what I was looking for and I felt more comfortable with their consultation process. I also took into account the type of material they used for the nose, where it’s harvested from, how many years of experience. I only chose drs who specialise in asian noses.

Hi! Dr. Donald Yoo in Beverly Hills is probably one of the most well known for Asian rhinoplasty. I’ve gone to consult with him before. His consult fee is $250 and applies to your surgery.

Dr. Harrison Lee is also pretty well known since he did facial contouring and rhino for a YouTuber. You can see her results there.

I’ve been to Wave Plastic Surgery clinic in LA only for nonsurgical treatments but their waiting room is always busy with Asian patients in various states of recovery. They offer free consultation.

Hey guys!!! I just wanted to share with you my experience on my ps journey thus far ( and in real time-currently in Korea day 5). I have been following/reading different threads on PF since December 2017 and have done pretty extensive research via different ps webpages, techniques, implants etc quite some time. I’ve also been on different kakao group chats and have learned so much from others’. I’m excited to share with y’all my personal experience before surgery and after.

1st off, I wanted to find a clinic that had different specialties all in one place because I was planning to do several things. After researching a bunch of clinics I narrowed down to View, Namu and Uvom. I liked how these 3 clinics had different drs. who were specialized in different areas. Initially I planned to do fc, rhinoplasty, fg and eye revision. But months went by this year, And I decided I wanted to get breast too! I have spoken with each clinic online and after reading others’ reviews, I decided to schedule appointments for only view and namu because I had a really good feeling about them. But even before going to Korea, I had a feeling View would be my choice because I knew Dr. Choi was an expertise in Motiva ( which is the implant I wanted) and Dr. Lee’s fc and rhino results were amazing from ig posts, there website and misooda etc.

My consultation day was quite long I met with my consultant first, did my body check up and met with each doctor individually. I described to them what I wanted and they took my considerations in and told me what I should do to have the best results. I agreed with each of them ( with some modifications) since they’re the experts. With everything being said, by the end of my consultation I had great confidence in them and decide to go with them. I cancelled my consulting with Namu. I know what some of you are probably gonna say or think like why or how come you didn’t consult with others but tbh, it was my decision ‍♀️ *gut feeling sorta speak.

Now I wanted to to make a side note about the material I’m using for my nose. It is goretex rather than silicone. I have been going back and forth with what material because of both pros and cons. This was a big question I had for dr lee and he explained to me that yes, gortex poses its own complications but it is also more sturdy, less chance of infection and more natural looking. Dr lee has also performed countless rhinos with beautiful and successful results. I have also spoken with girls on PF that have done goretex and have had great results! He also explained to me if a revision was desired it’s not IMPOSSIBLE just a bit more challenging but it can be done. ( I’ll cross that bridge if i need to in the future). With that being said, surgery is tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted

After months of being on this forum I have selected 5 clinics to have a F2F consultation with. I’m leaving for Korea tomorrow at 6AM, I still can’t believe this is happening. It feels so surreal because yesterday I almost canceled my whole trip. I dropped off my college application on Dec 22nd and they couldn’t process it till yesterday because the admissions office was on winter break. If they didn’t call me with the news that I’ve been accepted, I would’ve probably push this back to fall. The timing was impeccable so I guess this was meant to be?!

I had non incisional double eyelid surgery in VN back in March of last year. It wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be, the most painful part would be the numbing shots to your eyelids, and when the surgeon is making the stitches you can feel a little tugging. It’s just some discomfort and no pain. I knew that non incisional wasn’t meant to last forever, 3-5 years at most. The fold that was created by the stitches to give you a double eyelid can unfold at anytime and I was unaware of that so months later after my surgery my left eyelid unfolded and returned to its original shape. Now I have 2 uneven eyelids and eye shapes so I want to correct this with incisional double eyelid revision, I also want to get a rhinoplasty and this.

On Tuesday I have my consultation appointments in the following order: Marble, View, JK, GNG, DA.

Hi Guys,

I did a skype consultation recently with a US doctor who specialises in rib rhinoplasty and that is his choice of method. However this is my first primary rhinoplasty and I’m still unsure about getting rib rhinoplasty due to the pain of rib rhinoplasty and the minimal patient reviews that have had it done over 5 + years. Also the US dr fees are extremely exuberant about $20k US for rib rhino, whereas Korea is 5k US.

Keen to get your thoughts and reviews from patients who have had rib rhinoplasty and silicones implants?

I am looking for 2nd revision after achieving unsatisfactory results using silicone implants. It sounds like rib grafting may be the only solution to build up my nose based on my research. Currently I am considering Donald Yoo and Dean Toriumi. There is absolutely no doubt that Dr. Yoo has amazing marketing team and the reviews are nothing but positive. On the flip side, Dr. Toriumi's bi polar reviews are quite scary - in fact there is several blog sites dedicated to derail his practice.

Here's my question - can anyone with real life Rhinoplasty with Donald Yoo share your experience? I would also welcome any other feedback about his practice. He has only been doing this since 2012 vs. other surgeons with decades of experience.

Hi,

Did you end up going with Dr Yoo? I had my online consultation with him too. The aesthetic results he achieves are in line to what I like, but I’m still concerned to have my first surgery with rib rhinoplasty. I think I more inclined to get silicone rhinoplasty
