  1. I wanted to give an update to you guys. I am now past 6 months post op and there is a part of my chin that is still numb under my lip. It’s not terrible or gets in the way of my daily life or anything. It’s a very small thumb size umbness that I don’t think at this point will ever come back. They said it could take up to a year for the nerve to grow back. It’s currently May and my surgery was sometime in the end of August last year. So we will see. Thought I’d give you ladies an update.

  2. Thank you and everyone. I appreciate the comments. I just wanted to lay all out there for you guys because there seemed like a lot of misunderstanding on the forums so I wanted to help out.

  3. Oh and if anyone lives in California. Specifically the Bay Area and they want to see me in person. Let me know! Hopefully, I can help some of you guys out!

  4. Hey guys, some of you have been asking for before and afters lately and I no longer feel comfortable sending them out because someone has been posting other people’s pictures on purseforum for their own agenda. Probably a competing clinic. I don’t know. I just want to say I am 6 months post op and I am happy with my results. A lot of my swelling went down on my face, nose, and everything pretty much got slimmer. All I’m trying to say is that you really don’t see the full results until after a year and yeah be patient! Good luck everyone! Stay hopeful! Be positive!

  5. You can contact me at kakao please dm me.

  6. I’ve learned that it is better to do open rhino and let the doctor have full control of your nose rather than closed. My doctor even fixed my breathing problem I had for years with open rhino. My nose scar is nearly invisible. I think it a ear it’ll be gone. When you in Korea go to the pharmacy and ask for scar cream. I think it costs 25 dollars.

  7. Sorry for the late reply. Just finished midterms. So, I personally didn’t use pictures. I told the doctor what I felt i didn’t like about my features and we went from there. Told me what they could and couldn’t do to fix that. The reason why I chose not to use pictures is because I wanted an improvement of my own individual features. I’ve seen people at the airport where the nose individually looks nice and their face individually looks like good. However, when they were placed on each other it looked like someone copy and pasted different peoples features on to another persons face. It’s, off. You have to see it in person to understand. I chose to instead improve my features in a way that would bring balance to my face. Which during consults I emphasised a harmonious face. It has to look undetectable to me and others because in the western countries plastic surgery is still looked down on plus I have lived with a fake looking nose for so long I got tired of people asking me about it especially when I just met them. It’s rude. I think on Banobagi website they have a good 3 pictures of styles of nose types you can show their doctor. These are usually the 3 different styles people get. Ya on hire rhinoplasty page. It shows natural, elegant, and cutie nose. Which pretty much looks like the straight nose type, the dolly nose, and the more taller nose that some people get.

I’d like to mention that I think what makes namu special is they are open and have a good ear. They will really listen to you to try to understand you. This is what makes thier clinic different from the rest.So don’t be afraid to speak up!

  8. Dude, what is your problem. I can't keep answering your same questions over and over again. I already told you my results are positive and I’m happy with it. It’s not going to change every week. I’m not bipolar. Stop blowing up my inbox. I have school which I already mentioned. I’m not answering questions that have already been answered. Just go there and have consultations. It’s 2018 your a strong independent women use your brain and figure it out. Sheesh.

  9. No I don’t. He wasn’t my doctor.

  10. It's a small clinic there aren't many surgeons. I didn't use pictures. I explained my concerns about what I didn't like about my face and what I wanted to look like. The diagnosed me like a patient. Told me what they could do for me.

  11. I don’t know. Most likely through reccomendatiisn of other people. If you go to see the doctor you can ask to see his work. I did this. I asked doctors to show me a nose like mine and then yeah.

  12. October is a good time. Don’t forget to negotiate! Don’t back down! The clinics will not be super busy during that time.

  13. When are you going? I’m going back again with some people I met from pf. We’re going in December to get more lol fillers and stuff. I’m taking my nephew to get his eyes done too.

  14. UPDATE:

So its been about 5 weeks post op and I am satisfied with my results. I was worried in the beginning that my skin would sag but at week 4 a lot of the skin just suddenly tightened up. I'm happy with the results. My face is alot more symmetrical now then before. I like the size of my head now. I don't think I will have any sagging. I'm still in my twenties so it worked out well for me.

Something I noticed is my jaw line swelling is uneven and so is my nose swelling. I'm also healing scarless on my eyes but my nose scar is still a little read but I'm sure it'll be scarless.

When I keep it hidden from the sun the redness is nonexistent. I just want to let everyone know that I was not a good patient. I ate spicy, salty, and drank alot of alcohol even though I wasn't suppose too. I also did not take it easy I moved around alot. I'm a very active person so that can be difficult for me.

  15. I do have an idea of why there are not that many reviews online. Consider this, the clinic is less than 20 years old. In the business world it take a few years to establish anything. A clinic or any type of business that just opened of course won’t have a big brand name yet. Nothing comes out and is instantly known. It takes marketing and good business practices. It’s takes about 5 years for businesses to establish a customer base and reputation. Some business don’t even turn a profit for many years. They work on investor money until they establish themselves. When I spoke to Linda (English translator) she told me she has been working with the clinic for at most 1 year. So it gives me reason to believe that the clinic has finally gotten to a point where they can expand their services to a bigger market. They must finally be turning some type of profit for them to decide to open up to another market(foreigners) because they now have the capital to do so. There is nothing wrong with growth andwe shouldn’t hate on it. That’s why I still chose to go consult with bigger hospitals who cater to foreigners too. There are over 500 clinics in Gangnam area. There are not enough Korean’s who want work to keep them all afloat. It makes sense to move on to another market in the long term. Investors want to see business grow and I do too. If a clinic stayed to small long term I would see red flags. Why haven’t they grown? Are they not busy enough? Are they not good?

But back to your question. Consider all of that I believe they finally decided to expand to this new market and it will take them time to build a customer base/reviews from this new market. Also, they don’t ask their customers to leave reviews either. I sort of did so because I wanted to let people know my surgery journey/ why I had it done/ how I handled the situation/ how and what to expect and things because I wanted to give back to the forum that helped me. If it inspires others to consult with the clinic it then that’s great.

No I don’t know any other reviews besides helens review that I read. I chose to take the leap of faith and chose them as my clinic because I felt that this is the clinic for me. And I hope that others find a clinic that they feel strongly about the way I felt about the doctors I chose and the clinic staff.

  16. Only dr joung so woo use to work for banobagi. I don’t know where it is online but considering he left banobagi to go work at namu; I don’t see why banobagi would keep his profile on their website to promote a doctor who doesn’t work for them any more. Of course they would only put profiles of the doctors that are currently working for them. It’s unreasonable and illogical for them to benefit from a doctor that chose to leave their hospital. No hospital does this. They don’t want their customers following him to another clinic. This is business sense.

  17.
  18. I don't know the price I paid for eyes because I only ever focused on the totals the clinics gave me. I knew I was doing a lot of procedures so I had a lot more negotiation strength on my side. I chose to focus on the end total. So that was another reason why I wasn't budging from my budget. I didn't need to but if you're only doing one surgery be a little flexible.

  19. Please DM me. I have been busy with the first few weeks of school and it's not slowing down but I'll try to answer your questions when I have free moments.
