I know, Namu surgeon’s profile is listed on website so I didn’t ask.
You mentioned TFD so I thought you might know about dr Lee. Sorry for being unclear
@Lisa Cheng,
I’m really interested in Dr Jin
May I ask how much you paid? Could you give an estimated price range of dr jin’s clinic? If you’re not comfortable answering it publicly, please DM me
This news is deeply shocking to me as I have considered doing rhinoplasty at MVP before. My deepest condolences to the young boy’s family.
May I ask your opinion on how to make sure we don’t die during GA? Aside from having our weight taken to get the proper dose, making sure that the anaesthetist doctor will monitor us for the whole surgery, the Clinic muat have the properti Emergentisme equipment, getting ecg, what else must we remember?
I’m not even sure if the clinic will want to perform ecg test for a young patient like me
Hey, I totally agree that people who get a discount to post pics may get much more attention from the surgeon, and so got better results than others who don't get incentive to promote. But I don't know how else we can get B/A pics from real people.
My point is, it is probably not correct to think that clinics who do advertising on PF have bad reputation in Korea. After all, even good ones like Dream promote here. We don't know if they are popular among locals unless we have visited the clinic in person.
Would you know why Opera was blacklisted? I only know that they received corrective action from government because of false advertising. Can't find anything about accidents/deaths/bad reviews for the chief doctors. It'll be great if you can post links to the bad reviews (in korean) here
thank you for posting this @pssk029 . the links you provided are very useful.
I would like to say though, I disagree with several things. I don't think we should criticise all people who make a review in exchange for a discount. if we do, it would be very hard to get real before and after pictures in our research. many people are too lazy to post their experiences after surgery unless they got some benefits.
And also, even popular clinics among locals do a lot of promotions on Purseforum. For example, the Dream clinic that you mentioned. No doubt Dream is a popular clinic among locals since they are known to perform surgery on SNSD. there are also many positive reviews about Dream on PF that I believe are genuine. But I still encounter many blatant promoters (probably clinic staff) of Dream on purseforum. they have been called out by other members as promoters on their own thread, and didn't dare to respond anymore. I won't mention any names publicly on this thread as not to violate PF rules, but if anyone here want to know the names of those promoter-members, I can DM you.
The clinics that you recommended mostly have English websites and English-speaking consultants. If they don't need foreign patients, why bother having those?
English-speaking staff is much more expensive to hire than staff who only speak Korean or Chinese.
This is proof that there are hardly any clinics that don't want more patients. After all, there are thousand of clinics in Gangnam, and there isn't that much people who want to get plastic surgery. Cost/religion/social stigma/disapproval from family and friends being the inhibitors. Competition is definitely stiff.
Furthermore, I have personally talked to a PF member on kakao who got a very bad botched job from Eight PS. So it seems selecting a clinic that is popular among locals is no guarantee of satisfactory results.
Having said that, I agree with your recommendation to avoid clinics that primarily target Westerners. not because they are likely to botch people, but they tend to overcharge foreigners. after all, marketing (google ads, SEO, hiring English staff etc) are expensive.
I think plastic surgery is a worthwhile investment, but if your goal is being genuinely loved, it's going to take more than a change in appearance.
beautiful people are admired by many, especially by the opposite sex. research has also shown that beautiful people have better opportunities in their career. but usually they have many same-sex members being jealous.
when you get PS and turn gorgeous, you might just find jealous women who try to bully you too. make sure you keep your PS a secret as there is stigma against people who got PS.
honestly, I think it's impossible to make everyone love you. there are always haters, no matter what we do. My advice is, get surgery to open more doors in your life, not to please others
hi @widecheekbones , please share with me the name of the clinic too if that's okay. I'm also planning to get bone reduction surgery but is concerned about sagging.
no. she is an UK GP who has generously shared a detailed account of her PS experiences. Her thread has helped many people who are looking for reliable info regarding PS.
MissOrange is just trying to share her positive experience. obviously, results may vary between individuals and not all who go to MVP will came out satisfied. that's why it's important to do our own research about the surgeon and consider if his aesthetic sense, credentials, years of experience matched what we are looking for.
Sorry I don't really remember the names of members who posted the bad review... but if you use the advanced search function on the top right of PF with the keyword "VIP", it will show you many reviews about this clinic. Quite a few posted unsatisfactory experiences
Actually almost nobody will want to post a detailed diary of their post-op up until months/years unless they got a discount. But I still think these promotional reviews at Soyoung and Babitalk are useful to gauge the doctor's aesthetic style. Many Soyoung reviews also post videos, so it can help people look at results that aren't heavily photoshopped
If I were you, I would compare technique and prices first before making a decision. And maybe collect more info about the doctors who will perform your surgery.
There are quite a few people that has posted their experience here on pf about those clinics you mentioned. Their review might help
VIP charges very high prices but quite a few are unsatisfied by their result there. Idk about china, does chinese surgeons speak English or hire english translators?
@hh_kr22 , thank you for taking your time warning us of Docfinder. Even though veterans of this forum have often been warned of docfinder before, I'm sure many newbies are helped by your post.
Please do not take to heart accusations of being a promoter. Maybe the accuser is just tired of seeing fake reviews and thus immediately being suspicious of others. I hope you won't mind if others messaged you to ask questions, since many of us here are clueless about korean clinics
I remember K couture mentioned that Power V is a gimmick... personally I'm also skeptical of this procedure
TL isn't "blacklisted" as in having deaths, but many people on PF have reported botched jobs. I also read that there was a fire accident once on TL, but I forgot whose post mentioned it, sorry.
Hi, does anyone here have any info about Eight PS? I have seen this clinic mentioned several times on PF. someone mentioned they are popular among locals, but then one member posted that everyone she knows who went to Eight PS got a revision? She is no longer active so I have no idea how reliable this is.
If anybody knows something about Eight ps, please share!
