  1. Originally, was supposed to see Dr Choi. But since my case was more "complex", with my permanent filler, sensitive skin and all, they redirected me to Dr Seo. I'm guessing this was a good thing. They told me he was more expensive too (but it wasn't so much more that i would say no- its my nose and i want it to be perfect of course!)
I'm going to be very honest, I didnt even have MVP on my list. My Korean friend who got her nose done at BK Hospital told me where her operation was done so I was honestly just going to go there. But seeing how our meeting didn't go so great, I am SOOOO glad i spoke to other clinics.
I was reading smitten_kitten's blog about her journey too...she was so detailed about her exp at MVP i was curious lol. I can understand what the hype is about. I am SO nervous to see the final results

  2. I made the decision pretty quickly and on the day of procedure, before i was able to freak out and say "im scared, i dont want to do this", i was already asleep. I woke up bandaged up and done, and the nurses helped me to the recovery room.
It didnt hurt as much as you would think, If im going to be honest, day 2 (right now) and day 3 is probably the worst. I hate having to be a mouth breather....and im scared and anxiously waiting to see my new nose.....
if anyone else is having a procedure either at MVP or close to me, please message me and we can talk more if you want.

  3. procedure prescribed: silicone implant, bone cutting, tip refinement
    consulted with:
    • BK Hospital

        • doctor was 30 mins late. spent 10-15 mins on me. was very nice and kind but seemed hasty. did not look at my as carefully as other clinics. there was one other person in there at the time i went. On email, i was quoted 3.6M KRW. In person, she quoted me 6M KRW, but since "i was so kind and patiently waited, i was brought down to 4.1M KRW"; i told her i was quoted much less on email so she had to go check. Brought down to 3.3M KRW
      • Final quote: 3.3M KRW
    • Namu
      • meeting highlight
        • very friendly, professional and they knew what they were doing. the engish consultant, director, and doctor all saw and spoke to me-examined my nose and face, asked for pictures. spent a lot of time on me. there were about 5 other people when i was visiting, all korean.
      • Final Quote: 4M KRW
    • MVP
      • Meeting highlight:
        • extremely busy. came earlier than appointment time but was able to be seen a little earlier...but a lot of people kept coming in. took pictures from all angles. consultants VERY nice and soothing, they KNOW what theyre doing and how to make you feel relaxed. Doctor was very kind and gentle. Looked at pictures of what i wanted and also studied my face and told me what was realistic and not.

    Clinic chosen: MVP
this is because my Airbnb booked was walking distance to MVP and I was really moved by how many people were at MVP and their customer service. I would have chosen Namu also but it was raining so hard and to move all my stuff from Apgujeong (sp?) to Gangnam station was too much of a hassle. A lot of factors were put into which clinic I chose :P but I think Namu would have been a really good choice also!

  4. Hello everyone!
(same as most intro posts- new here, just made an account and stressfully trying to plan out my plastic surgery while getting input from everyone else here)

    • Time in Seoul: Early September
    • Surgeries wanted: Rhinoplasty (alar reduction/tip and bridge). possibly eyelid surgery if finances are okay to even out

I have not seen anything or ever heard of BK Hospital as I've scanned through these forums and reviews. I see a lot of the "go-to's" for foreigners- GNG, Cinderella, The View, Banobagi...

I was very interested in Hanabi-
But one of my Korean ex-coworker and friend got her nose done at BK about 8 years ago. She was born in Korea and lived there until about 12 yrs old, moved to the States, and is now a dual citizen. Giving background to show that she's "very" Korean and knows the ins and outs of the plastic surgery world in Seoul (more than me at least) since she got her operation years ago before the PS industry really got as big as it is today. She didn't die, nothing bad happened, she recommended it to me, and I actually love her nose...

Looking more into their website, they even offer you housing in the hospital for free.
A positive review from a real Korean friend makes me want to just blindly trust her (and i might). Just sent an email to get pricing and etc but ...does anyone know anything about them?? Exp??

She also said "All doctors are good at all big/main hospitals"... it's just most are not as good as marketing (like GNG or Cinderella to foreigners)

  5. thank you so much for such a detailed response, youre so helpful!

  6. Hi @Vee_Wudlyktoplay , when are you going to be in Korea exactly? I'm trying to plan for Early half of September...I don't think I will go to Banobagi because they quoted me kind of high compared to other clinics. How did you decide on Banobagi by chance? You have not met with them in person yet?
I haven't finalized anything and its so close!! lol thanks for your response in advance ~

  7. Was here an english website for Opera? I can't seem to find it  Sorry if its obvious and I'm just blind!
