  1. I can only speak for a rhino, but it's a very individual sort of thing. Everyone is different. Like the above person suggested, you can try bromelain, arnica etc and some steroid injections in a little while but 9 days is SO SOON after. I was unlucky and looked disgusting for a year and a half, literally. My body just took so long to heal, at 1.5 years I still had uneven nostrils and a massively swollen tip. It took 2 full years to settle.

BUT most people are doing pretty good by the one month mark and 2-3 months in look 80% of the way there. Unfortunately, you can only be patient, but it will get better. All you can do, if you still look a bit off at work, is do your best cover-up with make-up. Keep walking, keep your head elevated when you sleep, keep staying away from salt etc. It will all go down! I think those people who look perfect one week later are absolutely the minority. 10 days is just so so soon, you'll absolutely still be swollen.

Are you allowed to ice the forehead etc? I've seen other people on this forum have good results with semi regular icing around their eyes and foreheads to speed up the worst of the swelling. I'm not sure if that's what you're supposed to do though, I've never had those done.

  2. I've seen unhappy reports from just about every clinic on this forum, so I don't know why people are so hung-up on GNG. I've seen good results for them too. The complaints on this site seem to be for the same doctor (dr seong) so if you take a consult, keep that in mind and see what Doctors are available. I'm not sure I remember the doctor that was putting out good results. Dr Hong maybe? I'm not sure. One was doing good noses w/ no complaints.

BUT, GNG is probably not the right clinic anyway for a dramatic slim nose. GNG noses are usually more natural looking. Hopefully someone else can point you in the direction of clinics who are more adept at dramatic looks because there are probably better choices for that.

I don't know anything about the other two clinics, sorry.

  3. I don't know about TL and Face, but GNG have always been more known for rhinoplasty's so take that into account. They do have some of the cheapest prices around, but I wouldn't call V-line's their 'specialty', whereas I know there are clinics who do specialise specifically in FC. But a face to face won't hurt. As long as you go in with the knowledge that there have been some negative reviews (most clinics have them) that's good. It's good to be realistic and to have some questions prepared. I do think face to face consults are important though, unless you have total confidence without it.

At the very least, check the refund policies if you do book in advance and decide not to go through with a surgery. If you're really enamoured with GNG's price and can't find something comparable, you can book in advance with them. Just make sure when you turn up in December, everything feels right and you're still comfortable.

In general, I don't really know which clinics are best for FC but I'm sure other people will give you some suggestions!.

  4. If it looks badly wrong, try and contact the clinic and send them some pictures, but they often tell you to wait three months. The first few weeks can be very rough w/ the swelling, and it pulls your nose up too. (some people swell worse than others, you can't compare your recovery time to someone elses).

Doctors like to say that 80% of the swelling is gone after 2-3 months and not to expect anymore big changes, but it can take much longer than that. My nose at 6 months was so different to my nose at 2 years. So three weeks is very very early in the recovery process. LOTS of people panic, especially after rhino's. The final results can take a long time, and in the meantime you can look like a real mess.

Try and contact view anyway with your concerns! They might be able to reassure you or take a look! Hang in there!

  5. I'll certainly ask about it when I eventually have consultations in SK. For my initial surgery in Australia, the anaesthesiologist called me a few days beforehand and asked me a series of questions and told me how to prepare, and what I should and shouldn't do. And then I talked to him again on the day, before the surgery. Like he was a very prominent part of it all. This? This is just so sad. ETA: They all looked useless though. I can't stomach seeing the doctor fold his arms and do nothing. They had no emergency equipment? No emergency facilities? I guess that's another thing we all need to be more scrupulous in checking. Just horrible.
