Hmmm ok. I'm always a little wary about believing botched stories that I can't verify myself, it seems like clinics have online promoters and trolls that will do anything to promote their clinic and/or besmirch the reputation of their rivals. I'll definitely take it into consideration though.

When deciding on where to get a breast augmentation, I decided to research into South Korean plastic surgery. Although breast augmentation are a lot more common in the states, I wanted to make sure that I would get the best care, best experience, and latest technology.

After googling and watching videos of other women getting their breast augmentations, I decided to set up a few consultations. LaPrin Plastic Surgery was on the top of my list and they are so easy to contact. They have their own KakaoTalk ID so you can instantly start chatting with a consultant. You don’t even have to worry about the language barrier. They have a consultant that knows perfect English named Reina and she is also super nice! She set up a consultation appointment for me for the day after I arrived in South Korea.

The clinic is located in a really nice part of Gangnam, Seoul and is very easy to get to if you are taking subway/public transportation. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted and led into the waiting room. I was very impressed with how modern the clinic was designed and felt super luxurious.

For your consultation, you are with the same consultant you chatted with and made the appointment with. They have you change into a robe and do a 3D scan of your breast as well as take pictures. Afterwards, you talk to the doctor who is also going to be doing your breast augmentation. This is actually great because some clinics will sometimes put you with different doctors. Another notable thing about the doctor I met with is that he is the only one who does breast argumentations at the clinic and has a lot of experience. Other clinics I talked to said I would have to pay extra for more experience doctors which I found kind of weird.

The doctor is very kind and understood exactly what I wanted. He also took a look at my breast and said he would have to cut below my crease and make a new one but I didn’t have to worry because he has done it many times. He is highly qualified and experienced and I just knew I was in good hands. I felt so comfortable with him doing the procedure that I decided to cancel all my other consultations at other clinics and go with LaPrin that day. By the way, LaPrin was my first consultation.

As far as what type of implant and procedure I did, I got the tear drop Micro-thane silicon implants in 315cc and did the “Princess No-Pain” breast augmentation with the incision under the breast. The type of implant I chose was the most expensive one they offer because it has 0-10% failure rate and would look and feel the most natural. In my opinion, it was 100% worth getting the more expensive option if it meant I didn’t need to do another procedure if there was any failure. The implants are FDA approved and have a 10-year warranty. The “No-Pain” surgery is something that not many clinics offer. As far as I know, LaPrin is the only ones I researched who had this type of procedure.

If you want to do the procedure as soon as possible, they can make it happen. I scheduled my consultation on the 25th and got the surgery on the 27th. Again, Reina was there with me the entire time. I was so nervous because I had never gotten any type of surgery and she was there for me to comfort me. Your consultant is with you before your surgery up until you fall asleep from the anesthesia and then there for you when you wake up. The procedure took about 1.5 hours but you don’t even know you had the surgery until you wake up. The recovery room was nice and comfortable, it didn’t feel like I just got out of surgery.

The “No-Pain” surgery basically lives up to its name. When I woke up from my surgery, the only “pain” I felt was soreness on my sides. I didn’t have any difficulty walking or moving except for it was difficult to get in and out of bed(which is normal). I only rested for 1 hour before going home. I didn’t take public transportation because my dad took me to my surgery but for the rest of my check ups, I took the subway.

Every check up I went to, I was treated by the same nurse, who is super sweet and caring, and Reina, my consultant was always there to see how I was doing and to translate anything. The nurse knows pretty good English too so again the language barrier wasn’t an issue.

The soreness lasted only a few days (3-5 days) and I experienced nerve pain in my right breast for 2 days(which is very normal). After a week, I didn’t have any pain or soreness at all. I had a bit discomfort when I did a lot of physical activity so I recommend resting and staying at home or your hotel for 1 week. Overall, it was a quick recovery. I was out shopping, sight-seeing and enjoying my time in Korea.

My incision healed very quickly and nicely. After a few check ups, I got a ultra sound massage treatment to help with preventing capsular contracture and help with making the implants feel softer. This really made a difference in the texture of my implants! They feel a lot more softer than other implants I have felt. After 2-3 months, you can also get laser treatment on the incision if you want to help with scar treatment. I actually left before I could do this part but the doctor said I didn’t really need it since my incision scar looked really clean and nice. It basically looked like a thin line in only less than a month. No bruising or redness!

All in all, I couldn't have asked for a more better breast augmentation experience. Not only do I love how my implants look and feel but loved every second of the experience! I would recommend LaPrin to anyone who is looking for a stress-free, comfortable, and amazing breast augmentation experience!

I was also quoted the same for view plus the price is before discount and tax rebate. I think motive generally is expensive. And I understand that all hospitals quoted high to include agents commission as in case if you come with an agent. Once F2F, they will be able to lower down the price.

Do you have any other recommendation for motive in Korea? I am also looking to do movtia!

I previously consult with docfinder but they only gave me 4 options, which is the big famous clinic that craters for foreigners. The price they quoted is quite high despite mentioning there will be discount given after face to face consultation but I have the feeling it won't go down that much since the clinic have to pay them commission. They answer all my question promptly, communication was smooth but then it's my 1st time getting a surgery done and this is such a big decisions to make I want to have more options and be sure I made the right choice so I went and did my own research. I have shortlisted 3 clinics that I feel suited with the results I am looking for and got an online consultation but I can't decide which one to go for, I am thinking to go to f2f consultation and then decide but considering I have limited time in Seoul and it might be a hassle trying to find my way to all 3 clinic so I am thinking to choose 1 clinic and get it done with. I consulted some other clinic too but these 3 is on my top list :

1- VIEW
This is my top choice so far. Their website looks promising as they offered technique that I can't find in any other clinic. The consultant I contacted respond promptly and quickly to all my question. They have a huge facility, in house anaesthesiologist, well equipped for emergency situation which such an assurance. Price wise reasonable and they are willing to negotiate the price if I get multiple procedure done. I read online they are more popular with the locals. Their B&A profile is quite good and they've been on the famous show let me in. They recommended me 2 surgeon who specialise on eye surgery which is Dr Lee Ho Bin and Dr Kim Jeong Min, anyone ever get their eyes done from these dr? If you did, can you please share with me the result.

2- UVOM
I found this place from Instagram and start searching about it because of their impressive B&A on their instagram page. I consulted their consultant through WhatsApp, they suggested a non incision method for me instead on incisional one all other clinic proposed. I am not sure if non incisional method is a good option for me because i have quite a lot of extra skin which coz my droppy eyes but I decided to give them benefit of the doubt as they might know better what works for me and suggested what I actually need. Just 1 thing that put me off as they quoted me a price that is quite similar with the other clinic but they mentioned a 30% discount if I agree to cooperate with their promotion which I ask in details about it but they only want to negotiate about it during f2f conversations which seems a little shady to me as they refuse to reveal it on messages.

3- ITEM
I found this clinic from a youtuber who shared her DES result with this clinic and I love how good her result is so I begin to do my research on them and contacted them via email but I am quite dissapointed on their online consultation. The consultant seems uninterested on replying me and they take 2 3 days to reply me. When they quoted me the price, I asked if it's a fixed price and whether the price is negotiable but they answer me straight away it's a fixed price, which kind of turn off since all other clinic willing to negotiate the price. I ask for DES in the beginning then I ask for fat repositioning because I am thinking to do it with my DES but then they ask me for my pictures again when in fact I already sent them in the beginning. It's unfortunate because I really love their B&A but if this is how they do consultation in the beginning I am worried if they can really provide a good after care later on.

If anyone have any experience dealing with this clinic, would you mind to share it with me to help me made up my mind. Or if you have any other good clinic for DES to suggest I would be more than happy to check it out.

There also Hanabi whose ENT. They are good with natural nose. For View, Dr Lee is a plastic surgeon and also have experience in ENT cases

I'm still at the researching stage and would appreciate your opinions on clinics to visit and what their prices are.

So far I was planning on approaching the following clinics for a consultation.

The Face Dental - good reviews, but conservative results so need to communicate clearly what result I want and if that's realistic/possible.
EU Dental - not many reviews but nice results and a bit more expensive than TFD.
DAPRS - expensive clinic, good results but bad management.
VIEW - unsure about View.
Regen - unsure about regen.

Im leaning towards EU dental at the moment but still at the early stages of my research. I saw one forum member here who went there and had a good result. Any one else have any experience with EU Dental.

I got mine 3 FC and nose done with View. They have really good post care as well.

There are 2 surgeons specialize in FC

Dr Lee dong Chan - Dramatic and dolly
Dr Yun - Natural and he handles all complicated case. Senior surgeon.

Personally I like Dr Lee.

I've searched the forum and have yet to see anyone claim that they had a good experience with paranasal implants. The main reason I want to get a paranasal implant is because I have a genetically flat maxilla and protruding mouth/lip area. This midface sunken area makes my philtrum look "bulldog"-esque. I've been researching ways to fix this problem and I know that fillers won't work as they only plump up the skin and not fix the underlying problem of retruded bone. I got mine done at View Plastic Surgery with Dr Lee dong Chan. I also added a layer of FG over it.

Also did FCs etc so my face look kinda swollen now. It’s my 4 month post op.

Yeah, I think TFD is my best bet, they have done lots of revisions and have experience with cases like mine.

I initially only used Misooda because they got me that model deal at Cindy, they don't provide any other services normally. The worst part was them later on pushing certain clinics on me, convincing me that it would be suitable for me, and lying so much. They are very experienced in getting money from people.

But since I had 2 jaw before and this will be my second v-line, I think I need an oral surgeon, one who is used to doing revisions. Also I need to remove my 2 jaw screws as well, and most clinics in Korea do not have the right equipment for Canadian screws. I believe TFD has the equipment.

It is very hard. Many people on the chats have said agents are useless, I wish I listened to that more rather than the agent's falsehoods.

TFD will definitely be a great choice too!

Well, agents are helpful to a certain level however if you are going to a hospital, such helps are provided by the hospital itself but for smaller clinics, agents may come useful but also conflict of interest are involved

Now that it’s over, please heal well so that dr Lee can help you on your revisions

I better go to a clinic that does more revision cases, and has more consistent and real reviews, like The Face Dental. I don't want to take any more risks. Even with Cinderella I had many doubts, felt nervous that I booked with them without even consulting. Would've never even booked at Cinderella were it not for Misooda.

Maybe you can consider Dr Yun from View Plastic Surgery as I heard that he is a senior surgeon with an extensive experience. It must be really hard on you right now

The blood test does include HIV checks. This is important as GA is involved.

Some clinics doesn’t do the blood test if it’s sedation but hospital will do blood test be it GA or sedation and it includes checking of HIV as well.

I recently went to DA plastic surgery for facial contouring surgery consultation.
Hansuk Lee was the manager who looked after me on that day.
Initially when I had the consultation, she said that the 100 000KRW consultation fee would be included in the final payment. This is usually how things are done in most plastic surgeries.
After I did the CT scans, and spoke to Dr Sangwoo Lee regarding the operation, the manager took me to a separate room and she told me the price for the operation which was 1 million KRW.
I thought that since the CT scan consultation fee was included in the final price that the amount I had outstanding to pay was 1mil-100 000KRW= 9,900,000KRW.
However, she took my credit card and without consulting myself or confirming the price on the atm machine, she paid 1mil KRW and signed the transaction without my signature or approval.
When I asked her about this price discrepancy, she said I had misunderstood and that she never said that the initial consultation fee was included in the total price. Rather she said that I was getting a lot of discounts anyway so I shouldn't complain. ?!?!?!
She said instead they will pay for my medications and add extra sessions for my swelling reduction laser sessions.
I was so flabbergasted that they could outright lie like that to my face and turn it around saying it was my misunderstanding. I may not have the best Korean, but I know what I understand and what I don't.
I have had lots of experiences in Korea where you get conned of your money through various marketing strategies.
Personally, I am just down right sick of the lack of moral scruples in this country. No wonder Korea is not considered a 1st world country.
Especially from a large established practice as DA, that's really disappointing. They really should treat their overseas customers better if they want more referrals in the future.
For those looking into plastic surgery in Korea, just beware that you can get seriously ripped off of your money. Don't do it, it's really not worth it.

I had a similar experience as well with DA. However they quoted me a high price and told me that if I want a 20% discount, there will be no tax rebate. End up I said I can’t afford as it’s WAY out of my budget. They then said they will be able to offer me 20% discount and tax rebate if I write a good review on them.

But I wasn’t comfortable as I don’t want to be obligated to write a good review if the results didn’t turn out well. That’s unethical.

During the registration, they keep getting either my name wrong, my birth date wrong, my dates wrong. It’s just so unprofessional for a hospital like them.
