Yes I negotiated with him, he's fine about it, my original price was 8.8 million, I asked if he would accept 8 mill bearing in mind that price was already good. He said yes. I think he works hard, not only does he perform operations but he's very much on hand to do message, vedio calls but that's what I personally liked about the TFD, it's all personal. I didn't have to talk to some sales oriented person, before I arrived I'd already met him, ok on video but pretty much the same as meeting live.

Thank you for your reply~ dr Lee seems very friendly and professional. It’s rare that a surgeon doesn’t use any consultants. He gave me prices for individual procedures, it seems I will have to swallow my embarrassment to ask if he gives discount for multiple procedures done together

I had assymetrical jawline, wide chin and cheekbones, and was searching to find a doctor that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg and also is experienced in the filed. After reading reviews online, I decided on TFD. I read mainly that Dr Lee does natural work and that’s what I was interested in. I didn’twant the major v line look. When I got to korea, I had my consultation with Dr Lee, and gave him pictures of my ideal face shape and explained to him how I’d like to keep my jawlines, have a natural v line and also have my cheekbones more aligned with my jawlines ( a look that is ideal with westerners). He did agree with my decision and assured me that it’s doable. It’s really great how Dr Lee speaks English so you don’t have to worry about miscommunication. I obviously booked my surgery and went ahead with it. On the day of my surgery I was very nervous since I was alone and had no family members with me. However, thankfully things went really smoothly afterwards. After the surgery obviously there was lots of headache, sore throat , overall pain. I did throw up blood a little too ( nothing major). The nurses were really sweet and were continuesly watching over me. They don’t really speak English but use the translation apps. The second day I was discharged and came back to my hotel with a taxi. There was no major pain or discomfort at all which really surprised me. I really thought there would be cruicial pain after the surgery. I’ve had nose surgery before and I can say the experience was way more uncomfortable. The only uncomfortable thing about this surgery is the fact that you can’t really enjoy food. I’ve been back to the clinic couple of times for de swelling treatments and for Dr Lee to keep an eye on the stitches. He was also helpful with all the questions that I had every time I went to see him.As for the results, I can tell that my chin is way smaller and natural looking. However, the rest of my face is very swollen and I cant really tell exactly how it looks. I will have to keep you guys posted at least in one month. I can tell that my face looks very natural even with the swelling. At this point, I can’t speak like before nor smile straight. I have major numbness all over my chin which is suppose to take a while for it to subside.
Overall, Dr Lee and his staff are really nice people and I am sure once I fly back to my country Dr Lee will still be there for me with any questions and concerns.
I will write more reviews as time goes by because I really can’t exactly tell how much smaller my cheekbones are at this point.
Overall, I recommend Dr Lee for those that are comming from other countries and want the natural look with reasonable price and also a doctor who understand your concerns

Thanks for the review. May I ask if TFD has a consultant that speaks English ? The one that usually the patient talks to when bargaining the price.

I have received quotes directly from dr Lee , but I feel awkward if I have to haggle directly with the doctor lol

I really witnessed swelling go down a lot this month. My friends and family all thought i lost weight hehe My jaw looks very natural and has a feminimine curve. The surgery was totally worth it.

For someone who deswells slowly like me, the majority of the swelling will go down during the 2-6 month period post op. Don’t panic if you have a large pancake face post op. Plastic Surgery is a long journey.

I have 0 nerve damage, 0 facial pain, 0 muscle imbalance... i am really satisfied with my surgery... however i am thinking about getting zygoma with Dr Lee again in a couple years but i hope he doesn’t raise the price since he is getting so popular

Think you should message Dr Lee, start there and see how you feel about the advice he gives you. Before we faced timed, I sent really clear photo's of every angle, get a friend to do them, then send to him. He will give you good advice, he did a computer imagine of the possible outcome. He was very honest in terms of expectations, I am older 57 and he highlighted I will have sagging, which I knew about. I wasn't worried as I knew I would have a face lift after the jaw surgery, probably about 3 months later. I'm planning to do that in Europe, Prague actually. I didn't find Korea very cheap for plastic surgery, they are the experts when it comes to jaw surgery as so many koreans have over shot jaw issues. The more research I did, i discovered they weren't very competitive as Europe, not including the UK in that, rediculious prices here, bit like USA, they charge what they want and not the best by any means. I talked to Dr Lee about Prague, he said he had read many good things about it, he was quite interested and even told me, better than coming to Korea especially travelling etc... so, let me give you some good advice but bearing on mind I truly think everyone's experience is different, now I've been through it I can't get that across more. I went alone over Xmas, I used my holiday as a way of recovery, it one just one Xmas, many more to enjoy. My grown-up children were very supportive. I left UK on 12th Dec and returned 27th, so along time alone in an overseas country, I'm pretty independent. Not sure why but I felt totally safe with this man, if you face time him or meet him, you'll probably get it. I went for my first FTF consultation on the 14th, my surgery was booked for the 15th. They are very professional, I had blood tests, heart monitor and photos before and after. Most of the staff could speak basic English, if they couldn't explain they used Google translate which worked fine. He speaks good English though. Just before going to surgery, I felt really alone and quite frightened but clearly wasn't going to turn back. When I woke up, I was in a lot of pain and thought what have I done! It was pretty terrible. The pain was terrible but you have to keep this in perspective, some don't feel any pain at this stage, as I said at the beginning everyone one is different. My only complaint about the experience is they don't give you strong enough pain killers. I asked for more, they said I would have to pay which I did, shame they don't factor this in the price as it wasn't loads. I paid an extra 28,000 won for more pain relief. The next 4 hours are pretty grim, you can't speak, breathing is difficult, your scared to cough as your throat is really sore from the pipe they put down your throat for anesthesia, the after affect of the anesthesia is probably worst than the jaw surgery. I had read a bit about this but wasn't quite prepared how bad it actually was. I had blood in my throat, up my nose and it felt like my throat had been cut. The nurse kept telling me to inhale deeply to get rid of the anesthesia in my lungs, I just did what they said and it probably was the best thing. I left late that afternoon which actually if I'm honest was probably too soon, ok if you have someone with you. The next three days were ok, I didn't have loads of pain although I took Iberfropen every four hour for the first two days after that only if I needed something but actually the pain wasn't so bad. The swelling got to it's peak about 48 hours after, I had hardly any bruising strangely, and my swelling wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Having said that my face is still swollen and it's 4th Jan, I'm back in work and not looking too bad. Cheeks are still puffy, can't open my mouth too wide but it's really early days still. Stitches have desolved, thank goodness. Have to be careful what I'm eating but life is pretty much normal apart from swelling which will take time to go down. Can't really give you a verdict yet due to the swelling but I'm hopefull. Wow, wasn't going to go into so much detail bug hope it helps

I am now about 3 weeks post-op and went to do mini vline and zygoma reduction at The Face Dental in December 2018. So far I am happy with the progress of my results and wanted to share my experience/PS journey. I’ll try to keep everything short and sweet

English is not my first language so please forgive my grammar LOL

How did I find out about the clinic?

I started doing research to find reputable clinics that offer vline procedures in South Korea and saw a lot of positive feedback from people who went to TFD. Since I only had a short time available to travel and get my surgery done, I wanted to find a clinic and book my surgery date beforehand. It is not always the best thing to do but I chose to do it since I was confident with my decision and was going during busy season.

My concerns:

*Wide cheekbones (with 1 side sticking out way more) - I disliked the shape of the curve

*A long and wide chin that was out of balance with the rest of my face

My criteria when I was looking for a clinic:

· A clinic that has consistent and reliable good reviews (got positive feedback from real patients I was able to contact personally)

· A small clinic because there is less chance to be treated as “just another customer”

· A Maxillofacial surgeon who is known to specialize in a few procedures and has many years of experience

· A surgeon who understands Western beauty standards and who tends to be conservative (to me this means the surgeon doesn’t take risks)

· A clinic that offers affordable prices to foreigners

Online consultation:

I contacted TFD via Kakao and was surprised that Dr Lee personally answered all my messages. Dr Lee is fluent in English and can without any issue speak it and understand it. Since I had a lot of questions, I also asked him to schedule a skype consultation and he quickly arranged a time to chat. During that Skype consultation he seemed very nice and honest about what can be done based on my expectations, the risks entailed by the procedures, and took time to answer all my questions in detail.

After this initial skype consultation and hearing about previous patients' experiences, I had a very good feeling about the clinic and Dr Lee and decided to put a deposit in order to book my surgery date.

In-person consultation:

I arrived very early in the morning in Seoul and then headed to the clinic to meet with Dr Lee and plan my surgery.

Before meeting with Dr Lee, I got my x-rays and blood work done. Then during the consultation, I discussed again my concerns and expectations about the surgery. What I was worried about was the sagging that can be caused by zygoma reduction. Dr Lee was able to reassure me and told me that considering my young age, skin elasticity, and amount that would be reduced I should not worry about the sagging and risk was very minimal. I also wanted to know how much he planned to shave off my jaw to make sure I can achieve what I wanted. He showed me on the xrays that my nerves were pretty low and that he couldn’t shave a lot. However, he could still meet my expectations (reducing length and width) and achieve natural results. At the end of the consultation I also asked Dr Lee to photoshop one of my pictures, so I could have an idea of my results.

Overall, in-person consultation was great, and Dr Lee was very patient to answer all of my questions, discuss my expectations, and was clear about all the risks entailed by the procedures.

Surgery day:

My surgery was scheduled in the morning. I felt quite nervous as I just couldn’t believe that this day had finally come and never had done PS before. Nevertheless, I knew that I was in good hands with Dr Lee and could trust him with my face.

I met once more with him before the surgery to confirm all the details and then I was taken to the warden to change my clothes and prepare for the surgery. After that, I was taken to the operating room.

After the surgery I woke up from the GA and felt dizzy. I was taken to a clinic room where the nurses kept checking on me every 30min to monitor my vitals and make sure that I wasn’t falling asleep. My throat hurt a lot but I wasn’t allowed to drink water for 4 hours (such a horrible feeling after fasting for over 8 hours lol). I started feeling better little by little until I was finally able to drink water! I stayed about 6 hours in the clinic room until I was discharged.

Post care:

I went to the clinic every 2/3 days for check-ups and the deswelling treatment. Dr Lee personally looked at the progress of my deswelling and made sure again to address any concerns that I had.

On my last check-up he told me he will keep checking on me via kakao when I hit the 2-3months mark and when I visit SK again in the summer.

Overall experience at the clinic:

The nurses were very nice and took good care of me when I was recovering on the day of my surgery. Although they don’t speak much English, they really do their best to make everything go as smoothly as possible and are very sweet!

Dr Lee seem like a very happy and chill doctor, but obviously takes his job seriously. I liked that he was patient, it made me feel at ease. Most importantly, I would say he is very professional, honest, and transparent about expectations vs what can be done and that’s what made me trust him.

So overall, I am very satisfied with the experience I had at the clinic Don't think you could ever go wrong with picking it, Dr Lee is a great surgeon!

Healing:

Day 1 – Day 3: This was the hardest as my swelling was at peak and kept increasing. I also got a lot of bruises and my entire bottom face was purple (I looked like I got beaten up). It was also hard to breath at night during the second and third day as swelling got worse, so I wasn’t able to sleep that well.

Day 4 – day 15: From then my swelling started to get better each day and I could really see an improvement. I was also taking Bromelain to help with the bruising. By day 14, all my bruises were gone!

Day 15- day 21: I haven’t noticed much difference in the swelling. My cheeks are chubby and I also have a slight double chin. However, I have started to get my normal feeling back under my bottom lip and chin.

Note that for my cheekbones I only wanted a slight reduction and improve the symmetry between the two. It is not perfect but at least it's better than before so I am satisfied with it

Dr Lee recommended me zygoma reduction, v line, and fat-muscle reduction, but he only gave me individual prices for each procedure. So I’m wondering if there is discount if we do more than one procedure

Hi guys I'm in Korea right now literal ly 3 hours post op. I had v line, buccal fat removal and chin lipo at the face dental. Cost was 6.5 krw, very reasonable esp considering tax refund brings it down to 5.9 for everything. Like everyone has said Dr Lee is very nice and puts you at ease let's you ask as much as you want and speaks good English. Nurses barely speak English but you can get through with gestures and phone translator and everyone is nice. I will upload pics in a few days, I look horrible right now lol. I really hope that my chin looks good, I was very self conscious about the genetic fat pad I had there. Looking forwards to a speedy recovery. Will upload more details when I'm not feeling so ugh but If anyone has qs let me know.

The v line surgery comes with a risk of sagging no matter who you are. Because you’re cutting away bone structure that supports your skin, muscles and fats on your face.
Even if someone does not sag immediately after surgery, that person would sag earlier/faster than without the surgery!
I know it sounds sad but this is something that comes with the V line surgery. Only go for the surgery if you have accepted the side effects~

I also sent Deesse pictures and they recommended 4 procedures for my lips, totalling 13M KRW. For lips alone.

Laprin
Philtrum Reduction: 3.3M KRW
Lip Corner Lift: 2.2M KRW

So far Laprin seems to be the best price and they do a no-scar procedure for the philtrum reduction. Honestly though all the clinics I've contacted so far seem to have pretty steep prices for lips. It doesn't seem much cheaper compared to having it done in NA. If anyone could share any more information on lip procedures in Korea please do!

Hi, you might want to check Hyundai aesthetic’s promo on Misooda. I remember a forum member once got a really low price for lip corner lift through it. If I’m not mistaken she posted her before after pics too.

I’m also planning for lip procedures but still cannot decide on a clinic.

one month update
I went to get checked up at the clinic yesterday for my one month. I came in and they took photos for me ;w;. I'm still waiting to get them back from the clinic.. I want to also thank misooda again for helping me arrange and oversee everything via text through this entire process ;3;

Anyway, my thigh bruising is basically gone and they took in my compression suit to get it tightened as my legs have gone down in size and they are a little loose now. Definitely only slight soreness in certain parts but all and all i believe ive mostly recovered. I cant really notice a difference in my inner thighs but the doctor said final result will be 3 month..

As for my breasts they are alot softer but the the top part is still a little hard and too full. Doctor said another 2 months and that my skin would expand resulting in a better and more natural shape. I'm super happy with the outcome ;w;

Oh does that mean it is recommended to gain weight first before stem cell fg to breasts? When we lose weight post-op will the fat graft tissue be at risk of disappearing too?

This is different. It is not just fg. If you read it and look at the photos the stem cells 'grew' her breast back where they cut away the cancer. Fat grafting doesn't do that!

Is fat grafting to breast a good option though? Most reviews of that procedure stated that the fat reabsorbed completely several months post-op. I have never seen a review of breasts fat transfer which results last for a long time
