It's better not to eat a lot of salty food on daily basis, because it keeps water in the body and causes swelling. And if you had surgery, than it will affect it for sure!

Hello, everyone! I had consultation with 4 clinics last week and this week and I decided to share my opinion on them:
ID, Namu, View, Banobagi
I discussed different surgeries with each clinic, but my goal is slimmer face (most interested in V-line), rhino and general rejuvenation effect.

ID:
ATMOSPHERE:

Building is the biggest and looks modern. Empty lobby, front desk workers were not friendly, didn’t smile or greet me when I entered. Translator lady was friendly though, offered me drink and translated pretty fast and fluently.

CONSULTATION:

The consultant lady smiled all the time, but the way of consultation felt aggressive. She repeated at least 3 times that without deposit the price will increase if I decide to come back later, so I better pay the deposit.

She showed me how the surgery is proceeded on the skull which was useful, but she kept talking about more and more additional surgeries I didn’t want and plan.

Also during online consultation they didn’t mention that I HAVE TO do X-ray (which is 20 000KRW) and required to pay when I just arrived. Of course I felt unfair and changed my attitude and impression in a negative way. No discount was possible either.

Another thing is that they couldn’t show me any before/afters of foreign western patients. Since they are claiming everywhere, that they are so experienced with foreigners, that was weird.

PRICE:

1) Angle + zygoma - 7.000.000

2) V line (chin + angle + zygoma) - 10.000.000

3) Dark circle - 2.300.000

CONCLUSION:

ID is very well-known somehow for operating foreigners, but I’m not sure how true is that after visiting them. Also feeling that ID is a bit commercial and not that professional.

BANOBAGI:

ATMOSPHERE:

Nice lobby, much more people waiting than in ID.
LET ME IN TV program playing, blood pressure measuring machine, free coffee service. Friendly smiling front desk workers, friendly translator.

CONSULTATION:

I was suggested to choose consultation room with more appropriate lightning (darker or lighter), which was interesting.

Again I wasn’t told in advance about X-ray and its price, so it made me feel bad that they require money right after I stepped in the clinic (although I was ready fot that after ID, I think that’s the part you have to tell during online consulting).

Consultant lady looked like in hurry. She didn’t try to talk about my appearance individually, just asked which surgeries I am interested in and talked about the price, deposit necessity, and asked “Is there anything else you would like to know?” like 4 times. Felt like she wanted to finish with me faster and didn’t try individual approach. I don’t know maybe she was just very busy and I didn’t look interested enough?
I also couldn’t meet a doctor, because “he was busy”. The overall impression was that they were not interested in me and my requires.

No discount was available either.

PRICE:

1) Angle + zygoma + genio - 19.900.000

2) Angle + zygoma - 15.400.000

3) Acculift (only lazer) - 2.750.000

4) Reduction Rhino - 6.050.000

5) Alar Reduction - 1.980.000

CONCLUSION:

Banobagi looks famous, but I didn’t like the attitude of English consultant and the price is not cheap with no additional services provided. Discount or bargain didn’t seem possible (they said it was the cheapest price they could offer and it might rise if I don’t pay the deposit).

NAMU

ATMOSPHERE: Much smaller than other clinics, not a separate building. A lot of Chinese patients in the lobby. Front desk workers were friendly, smiled all the time.

CONSULTATION: Consultant and doctor were nice, both spoke good English and explained about surgeries clearly, showing on the skull and X-ray picture how they want to perform the surgery and about their good postcare service.
Although the thing I didn’t like was that you can’t stay more than one night hospitalizing, even if you want to, which makes it uncomfortable to recover in my opinion.

Unlike ID and Banobagi they warned me about X-ray and its price beforehand, which was a good sign and I liked it.

The weird thing about consultation was that doctor suggested to cut off 50% of jaw muscles because they were too thick, which I consider too dangerous. But they assured me that I don’t need that much muscles and it won’t cause many problems. Mmm not sure about it, still sounded dangerous.

I liked that the way of consultation was more neutral than aggressive, with no deposit demanding.

PRICE:

1) Square - 5.500.000

2) Muscle - 2.000.000

3) Chin - 3.000.000

4) Cheekbone - 4.500.000

5) Nose - 500.000 + 800.000 = 1.300.000

CONCLUSION: Namu seems getting popular nowadays for the competitive price. I liked non aggressive and informative way of consulting, but because of 50% muscle reduction surgery suggestion and their small size I feel uncomfortbale to have surgery there.

VIEW:

ATMOSPHERE:

Bright lobby, big modern building, LET ME IN TV playing, Motiva implants samples, welcoming polite front desk workers.

CONSULTATION:

Consultant was friendly and spoke very good English. We met doctor who recommended few ways of surgeries I wanted to achieve slimmer look and explained which one would or wouldn’t be effective for my face.

He also talked about muscle reduction to achieve slimmer face line like in Namu, but only on 15% (not 50%). He said that 50% reduction could lead to horrible consequences, like not beign able to chew or speak properly. That statement made me feel skeptical about Namu’s suggestion.

Honestly speaking the price was more exprensive I guess than Namu or Banobagi, but I still hope I can bargain on my next consultation.

They also have unlimited post care procedures and provide 6 nights free stay accomodation, breakfast and airport pick up for foreigners (well, not for free, it’s included in a surgery price, but still a lot of services).

PRICE:

1) V line - 14.000.000 (including 3 surgeries at once and muscle reduction)

2) Rhino and alar reduction - 5.500.000

3) Acculift (Jawline + chinline) - 4.500.000 (lazer + liposuction by canula)

CONCLUSION: More expensive than other clinics, but more services included and no need to look for other accomodation which I liked a lot.

I couldn’t find any negative reviews here or on other sites, it seems like they had no medical accidents so far, so it kinda feels safer than others.

All the above prices are what I’ve been told during face to face consulting.
Opinion on how safe/unsafe clinic is is also individual, so I just shared my observation.

Personally I decided to go for my second consultation with dr Lee Dong Chan for rhino and dr Yun Chang Woon for V-line this week and if my schedule works out I will have my surgery soon.

50% of jaw muscle reduction?? It sounds dangerous! I would have agreed on something like this.. Jaw surgery is dangerous itself, but reducing 50% of muscles would make it much more risky..

As a long time lurker I wanted to write a review here since this forum helped me so much with choosing where to have my nose surgery! My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow and I'm quite excited. I had some hesitations with regards to having the procedure done in Korea, but the facilities/skills of the doctors here are definitely on a higher class compared to what I can find in Europe so I decided to go for it. I also had an internal debate whether I should go with a big or small clinic, but at the end a big place gave me much more reassurance that everything will go smoothly. I actually decided to go with View specifically because of the positive reviews I've seen around here, and that the doctor seemed to be very experienced with non-asian features as well. I thought I'll be more nervous the night before, but I'm surprisingly looking forward to getting it done tomorrow! I'll keep updating this post as it goes.

I had V line surgery with a light under chin lipo done a month ago by Dr. Yoon at View hospital and I am very pleased with the results. I travelled on my own from Europe and stayed in Seoul for two weeks. The hospital’s translator was present at all time during my consultation, price discussion/negotiations, health checks, surgery preparation, etc - and even during the surgery itself. I stayed overnight in hospital and discharged the next day before noon. I’m adding photos of the before, the next day, 3rd, 7th day and 4 weeks post surgery. The first 4 days I felt more discomfort rather than pain and had to be on a liquid/very soft diet for 2 weeks, which also helped me lose some of my weight. Before flying back I got the stiches from inside mouth taken out - and that was very quick and bareble for sure. Right now I still have some of the stifness around the chin area and my smile isn’t fully there yet but I’ve been reassured by the doctor that is no nerve damage and it’s just a matter of time to get 100% recovered. Dr. Yoon is a plastic surgeon - and an artist! I recommend him and the rest of the stuff to anyone wanting to have this procedure done. It bettered my life.

It's still like 5 months left, so I'm reading a lot of threads connected to FC.
For now looks like VIEW has the most postive reviews for V-line and contouring (from bigger clinics). There are also Namu, Cocoline, Uvom but I don't want to consider too small clinics for myself

I heard on this forum, ppl do midface lift after zygoma vline surgery so I thought it might be what I need to do but in reverse. I'm scared because FC is a very serious surgery and my recovery from midface lift took a year! Swelling lasted more than a year and needed general anesthesia, couldn't chew for a month

srry for the long story, but I'm searching Korean clinics who can do facelift and FC. Please help if you had FC or facelift in Korea. Thx

Like it's said in a comment above FC is a popular surgery in SK. I will do V-line myself in next March, hopefully. There are few famous clinincs for FC, you just need to do your own research and compare pics! I'm still thinking which one is better too.

Had FC + Zygoma with GNG and was a disastrous experience from start to finish. I urge anyone reading this to please stay away from this hospital.

I already have consulted with 2 other doctors about my problems as I will require a revision later this year.

My initial experience prior to surgery was apprehension and after the first day. I was very close to cancelling and going with my other choice. My reason was everything felt cold, robotic and rushed, but I stupidly pushed this to the back of the mind.

After the surgery I had no idea what the result was like because I was so swollen. i started to suspect something wasn't right about week 6-8 maybe.

The first problem was the right zygoma was clicking then felt locked and was preventing me from opening my mouth. I put this down to swelling initially. You will get messages from the hospital saying Zygoma cant cause TMJ issues with the joint and to do mouth exercises.

On the third month I decided to get a scan at a local clinic which revealed the screw is very close to the condyle head ( jaw joint ) and my doctor concerned the bone has slightly fused with the joint causing the stiffness. I still cant open my mouth more than 2 fingers because of this after 4 month no matter how hard I try.

My second problem is I made it very specific to them in emails and hundreds of pictures that I wanted to keep the jaw angle below my ear. I sent lots of images like this to make a point. I must have sent over 100 images of women with squarer jaws over email and printed out, because I wanted to make this 100% clear if there was a language issue that they had images to reference,

I didn't like the unnatural v-line doll look and I said many times In consultation to Dr Choi that I want to keep most of my jaw angle. So when the swelling went down, I found out they didn't listen at all and just did what they pleased, and removed all of my jaw angle right up to my ear. I was so angry and crying because at that point, I knew I wasn't listened to at all during any point of the rushed consults (5mins each), they didn't ask me any questions to make sure with me.

So that is going to require a revision costing me over $10'000 dollars to get a custom angle implant fitted to correct it so I can look like myself again.

They were quick to realise they made a huge mistake after looking back on all my images I sent, and offered to refund me just for the jaw reduction, basically a very small amount that made no difference given how much I had already spent.

Here is the message below. They would refund me only if I didn't post anything on any forums. It wasn't money because they genuinely cared. It was just money to keep me quiet and protect their own reputation. initially I accepted the refund because I could not work, but after 3 weeks of them pretending they had sent it. I realised I should just tell my story instead and hopefully this becomes more valuable.

And when you do finally speak to them about something you know is wrong, you will realise you will feel like you are banging your head against a wall. See conversation below.

They will just talk about asymmetry ( which was very mild ) and bumpiness which have nothing to do with what my issues were. They will say "give it time for bone remodelling" whatever that means, and all this other stuff, which will just frustrate you more, because they don't listen.

In addition to this, I also still have a lot of tightness in my chin and mentalis muscle which hasn't gone away, but I will reserve judgement on this until 7 months or so.

As for the severe functional and aesthetic issues, and then being offered money to keep quiet, I can only say this is one of the most unprofessional, inhuman, uncaring places I have had ever had the experience to go to, and if you want to risk all of the above based on the glossed over promoter stories then thats fair. But do consider when and if things go wrong, what type of Hospital you are dealing with, and the problems you will be let with.

You can DM me for more questions and information. I have all emails and scans and everything else. I documented everything to make sure of this.

idk about face lipo but I got zygoma and v-line done at regen. My surgeon was dr Myungjune Oh. I travelled all the way from NY to Seoul to proceed facial contouring with him for which I feel really lucky.

1. Id plastic surgery - good communication with "team" no specific name in conversation. I saw one girl from Paris who is happy with v line there, also I contacted her and she recommend them. The bad thing is that the doctor will not be available on consultation day but on the next day for surgery (other consultant will be available). I am.only afraid that they will try to make my face like most Korean people like. Actually i dont like the baby face. My problem is square jaw and quite wide. I like my chin and I am not sure if the genioplasty is needed for me. I would like to have delicate result to get rid of Square jaw and maybe cheekbone to reduce width.

2. Grand Plastic surgery- also responsive, i also talked to one girl from Europe and she is happy with v line, cheeck bone. But I saw bad comments here about this clinic but no details why it is bad. Do you know someone who experienced bad results there? Can you provide m with the link? Good point is that the doctor is available for consultation and surgery.

3. View- higher price, also good communication. I think they care more if I will do more surgeries. But I am happy with conversation. I have not chance to talk with some one who had the surgery there.

4. Dream - what I like is that they commented my picture and agreed that probably cheekbone and Square jaw reduction is enough for my case, but to be confirmed in face to face consultations.

5. Face dental- i sent the pictures and i like that doctor replied to me (not consultat) and told that i need all v line plus genioplasty.

Please share your opinion of these clinics , I will appreciate you help. It is important to me that I do not speak korean so I need to communicate only in english.

I expect that doctor will suit my preference not the preferece of "overall beauty" .

I am blonde with square jaw so I am completely different than Korean people
