  1. They still have brow lift listed on their site. (Just FYI, not to argue.)

I was thinking about them for eyes, but I'm not sure. I want huge, dolly eyes (and a revision) but have no idea who actually does those.

  2. They were the first company I went to get a quotation from. (I felt comforted seeing actual black models and patients on the site.) But, aside from the prices, he more told me what he wanted to do than asked what I wanted, which didn't sit well with me. So, I ended up getting my nose (and eyes) done elsewhere, and they did exactly what I asked them to do (on my nose, but I'm not happy with my eyes). I also feel that if his prices are basically the same as an American doctor (which were what was quoted to me), I might as well go get it done in America by a doctor who does ethnic rhinoplasty regularly.

  3. I honestly don't remember any pain unless it got bumped or when I got the stitches out. I got mine back in December of 2018. I feel that if I can't even remember what the pain was like then that's how little pain I had. I just remember discomfort. I had (I believe open) rhinoplasty with a silicone implant and an alar reduction. I'd gotten my eyes done at the same time and they bothered me a whole lot more (but not because of pain so much as discomfort).

  4. Thanks for this! I got my work done at Opera (nose + eyes) and had a great experience. I really like my nose, but my eyes (I got lateral + lower cantho) are still not as big as I want, so I want more work. I want very dolly/dramatic eyes. Fortunately, View was one of my top two choices before I decided on Opera, so I guess I’d better check with them again. :P

  5. I have, 2 days ago. I’m healing now, but so far my experience with them has been good. I will write about it when I return home. I don’t want to review them until my my swelling goes down and my cast is off and my face starts to settle.

As far as pricing, I got lateral and lower canthoplasty and silicone rhinoplasty with tip plasty and alar reduction for about 4.355 million won (less than $4,000 USD).

  6. This is an interesting question I’d be curious to know the answer to. At my consultation with them, VIP said I didn’t need alar reduction for the same reason you were given, that when the bridge is lifted, it won’t be necessary. I also wanted mid-face augmentation with them (still want to get it later), so I wonder if that would affect anything.

And in response to your other post, yes, I can share my pics with you afterwards. I’m getting surgery on the 26th, so I’ll share when I can get my cast off/swelling goes down.

  7. Hello, can you tell me why Opera is listed? I have some procedures scheduled with them next week (and already put down my deposit).

  8. Thank you! I joined the chat. I have to admit that I’m more of a Line girl, so I rarely use KakaoTalk and don’t know much about how it works. I don’t see any conversations. Is that correct, or did I miss anything? Thanks in advance!

  9. Hi again. What I was quoted for was different, but they discounted almost $1,000. But I didn’t really push it too much, so I don’t know if further discount would have been possible.

  10. I know this was addressed to someone else, but View was one of the clinics I more recently talked with and they negotiated pricing with me.

  11. I’m not Asian either, but I want bigger eyes. I’ve been focused on eyes since I was a child, and I’ve always found large eyes most appealing and that they make even men look gentler/more attractive to me. I think SEA women have lovely, well-shaped eyes. Not “dolly” by typical Korean/Japanese standards but still large and attractive. If I can safely get mine as big as possible without going into buggy territory, I’ll be glad.

  12. Thank you! I’ve been told my surgeon will be Dr. Kwon. And, no, I don’t think I had to pay more, but I put down a deposit that they said will be deducted from the total cost.

  13. I agree. I wasn’t going to say anything because I’m new here, but some of these posts are very inflammatory beyond being upset about a botched surgery. Bringing nationality and race into it is unnecessary and seems pointed.

While warning about a particular doctor or clinic is very helpful, condeming an entire nation of surgeons/people is overreaching, and those of us who want to have surgery in Korea won’t be dissuaded from it by these kinds of posts. Korea provides a specific aesthetic that works for certain people, and even as an American living in Asia, I prefer said aesthetic (and the prices). I’m not defending Korean plastic surgery as a whole, nor am I saying it’s better, but frankly, the tone of some of these posts creeps me out.

  14. Not to hijack, but I'm so frustrated because I'm having so much trouble just sending a deposit to Opera (I'm in Japan). Every time I think I can, there's something else my bank or the post office requires that I don't have. It's annoying that I can't do what I want with my money without jumping through tons of hoops. I know why the hoops are there, but I still don't like them. If I was back in the States, I could have done it easily.
