Also wondering, is it possible to get temple bone shaved so that my eyes are at the edges and my face looks more 3D/convex instead of flat, because even if I shave my cheekbones, the space at the outer part of the eyes still makes it look wide
I'm not looking at price more at skill of surgeon and how comfortable/confident I feel in them. Really want to avoid revision surgery or complications, but yeah, it's a little more expensive.
Agree about View but it's a placeholder option and I'm considering getting my nose done there.
I meant wide spaced between the inner eyes, not outer and yeah, I went for a consultation and doctor mentioned he can't do much lateral cantho for me cuz my bones are in the way.
I'm looking more at bone grafts, something permanent. Anyway, I did send my pics to a few clinics and they basically came up with a lot of surgeries, even ones which I never considered to begin with so it's basically a money grab.
I intend to get zygoma reduction done despite the many risks and complications involved because having a wide face is something I've not been able to "get over" as everyone tells me to. However, while my chin appears to be a slight V shape (more U actually) the jaw is quite square just slightly narrower than my zygomas.
Do I need to get jaw surgery to balance out the newly slim upper half of the face? If anything I'd like to get implants to lengthen the ramus bone as it's barely there and straight away protrudes my jaw forward making the lower half of my face stick out more than the upper part. I suspect my lips are also naturally downturned because of this positioning. Should I get ASO to fix this?? I want my face aligned properly and actually mandible angles.
PS-so far I've shorlisted EU, Face Dental, Zeah and View. (Feel free to recommend good cranofacial/maxilofacial surgeons in Korea)
I think low cheekbones are more feminine but high cheekbones (Asian type) make the face broad and more masculine. IMO, female faces should be slim and dainty.
Maybe so but for me I'll go with harvesting my own cartilage/rib. I don't feel comfortable having a foreign man made object in my nose for what I hope will be a long long time. Didn't mean to come off harsh, just really not into goretex or medpor or even ultra soft silicone.
Anyone have the English kakao contact for Nano Plastic Surgery? I saw their results on the soyoung forum and it's nothing short of amazing. It looked so natural yet there's a dramatic change - if you know what I mean. Hoping to at least get a consult with them and come back to do my nose there if all goes well
Was browsing through the Chinese soyoung website and came across a few nose jobs that I really liked, done by Nano Plastic Surgery. I don't read Chinese, so is it a clinic in China or Korea?
And if it's in Korea, does anyone has the kakao contact for the consultant? Hopefully they have an English consultant.
Also, if anyone has had any experience with them, please do share
I'm sorry you had to go through all that, but why create a thread if you're not gonna tell us which clinics botched you up? Some of us are going to get surgery literally next week and it would be nice if we didn't unknowingly go and **** our faces up.
As someone agonizing over whether I should get zygoma reduction, I do appreciate this thread. However it doesn't detract from the fact that these celebs have other beautiful features going for them like chiselled jawlines, wide eyes and beautiful noses, as well as symmetry - well, more than the average person anyway.
It also ignores the fact that most of these celebs, especially the western ones, their prominent cheekbones start from below the eyes (mine start at eye level) and projects forward more than it does sideways, whereas Asian cheekbones, at least mine, are just obscenely protruding to the side, making for some jagged facial outline. Also, lack of mid face prognathism just serves to highlight how wide the cheekbones are, thus making the face look flat and less dimensional, giving it a concave look.
What makes it worse is when a lot of people tell me things like "Oh if I just saw your face without seeing your body, I'd think you were overweight" The irony being that I'm super skinny so I sort of give out this lollipop look, big head, stick body.
Do you know any Asian rhinoplasty surgeon with Dr Yoo's dramatic results but less dramatic prices? I actually like his work on Asian patients - you can see an amazing difference unlike most rhinoplasty's where change is minimal - I'm going for the full blown look. My only issue is the price - so I'm hoping to find a dr with similar dramatic results.
That's the thing, it's not fat, it's actual bone sticking out - but yeah, if you only saw my face without seeing my body (I'm only 40kg) you'd be forgiven for thinking I'm overweight. I know reduction causes sagging but I guess it's better than looking obese with harsh angles? IDK. I've made appointments with TFD and zeah dental so we'll see.
Can I get away with just zygoma reduction or do I also need to do square jaw reduction? I was told by a surgeon that my jaw isn't that big and it's mostly masseter muscle. I've tried botox and while there's some improvement, my jaw is still large as seen in the photos below. (Ignore double chin fat)
Also, not sure if zygomas protrude more in a 45 degree angle or the front or size. And one side is bigger and founder than the other. This whole thing is disturbing my mental peace. Do you think I need zygoma reduction? Is it worth the sagging skin?
Interesting. So are you saying shaving the bones will make my face look less sunken in than it is now? My cheekbones are so high and rounded that it hides some view of my nose and looks like it's swallowing up the sides of my eyes.
Is jaw surgery required?
