Finally it have comes to the first week after my rhinoplasty surgery. FINALLY I could remove the stabiliser of my nose and the the cotton that blocking my nose that make me couldn’t breathe using my nose for few days. I came to DA plastic surgery hospital early in the morning with a super excited mood haha after done removed everything I Felt so fuxking good hahahaha my face, eyes area is still swollen and nose bridge and nose tips is swollen as well as there is the surgery part. ( it will takes 2 weeks to one month to become fully natural) but i’m so satisfy with the outcome.❤️ Here is my outcome. Babe u using silicon right? Any idea how many mm? Bcos my cons mentioned they will use silicon for my rhino but thin one. Tia

I search online for them n some i read own my own n some article i sue google translate. Not very accurate. Anyway, i exchange msgs with girinps n kokops. Kokops very friendly. Girin kinda aloof.

Yes, they did do all of that. And yes, I had Endoscopic forehead, High smas face/neck. Their apartment is just a few blocks from the clinic, very comfortable and clean with a kitchen. I never did do any cooking but it sure is nice if you want to. I spent the first 2 nights at the clinic then transferred to the apartment. Every day you go in for check up and after care treatments. I feel that the after care treatments is extremely important to help you heal faster. They picked me up from the apartment the first couple of days for treatments then I walked every day there after. The clinic is about 7min walk from the apartment, and you do want to do lots of walking to help with healing.

That being said.. im not saying the 2 clinics i choose is good. Is more like a need: for Girin they do acculift which is my first priority n rhino 2nd, but girin rhino not too my liking. Whereas for Koko, i like their short nose job n pretty to my standard but quite pricey too. So sad that they dont do acculift.

I’ve consulted with several clinics online, and so far Braun has given me the best price and best consultation service out of all, so although I also plan on consulting with Uvom and View in person, I am strongly considering going through with Braun. The procedures I am getting are: zygoma reduction, jaw reduction, forehead augmentation and double eyelid. I’d like some honest reviews about the clinic, as I cannot seem to find a mot online. hihi im going in dec too. i will be there 23 to 31. i more or less decided to go with koko ps or girin ps. Smaller clinic or rather clinic cater to local or china ppl more.

If im not mistaken gyalumhan. After much research n consideration. Im narrow down to 2, either namu for no implant rhinoplasty +acculift or gng for no implant rhinoplasty. Too tired to aak further . I even consulted Misooda for help and they intro Banobagi, i dont likes banobagi as from the video i watch.banobagi nurses very rough on handling patient. I work in the hospital so when i saw how they handle. The paincreep on my skin.

Pre-Op
I had to dissolve the Restylane filler I had in my nose 2 days before my actual surgery. Dr. Lee did it in a few seconds, but I still think this was the most painful part of my entire surgery experience. Choi, the former English translator at Uvom, went through all of the surgery precautions, and pre-op and post-op rules with me in detail. She went with me to the pharmacy to pick up the prescribed meds, which were 5 pills of different colors and shape to be taken 3 times a day for 7 days. In the medicine package, there is also an ointment you are supposed to put on your nose stitches to lubricate them. Make sure you do this often everyday if you want a less painful stitch removal experience!!!

Before surgery day, I made sure to stock up on 3-4 days worth of food/groceries at a nearby supermarket because I knew I would not have the energy to go outside. I bought plenty of fruits and veggies, lots of instant congee, and pumpkin congee. I also bought Bromelain for better and faster healing for my nose, but it took me a long while before I found a pharmacy that offered Bromelain. Many people also purchase the Aftercare package, which is available in almost any pharmacy store, but it’s very expensive. If you can, bring Bromelain and/or Arnica from your home country, since supplements in Korea are generally pretty expensive and hard to find. I started taking it one day before surgery to get it in my system.

I met up with a few girls through the KKtalk chats, and we got dinner and shared our experiences. It’s definitely good to find buddies when you’re in Korea, especially if you go alone. In the 2 weeks I was there, I was only able to have fun thanks to everyone I met. Everyone will be there to support you through your surgery!

Day of Surgery
I woke up and went to Uvom at 9am. I didn’t eat and drink anything for 8 hours before in preparation for sedation. Up until this point, I still had not paid the rest of my surgery fees because I had not exchanged my money into KRW. Since the bank wasn’t open yet, Uvom’s clinic staff just took my money in USD and exchanged it for me at their local bank and returned the leftover money. The exchange rate was a lot better than what I would’ve got if I went as a foreigner.

***TIP for money exchanging: go to Myeongdong and find a smaller exchange place, they have the best exchange rates in Seoul. When I went, I found quite a few places in the alleys with the same exchange rate as shown on Google. However, they could only offer exchange for select currencies (USD, JPY, RMB...etc)

I sat down one last time with Dr. Kang, Eunice, and Choi to go over all my expectations. They printed the reference photo of the nose I like and had it in the surgery room. They asked if I had any more questions, then got me to change into proper clothing, and led me into the surgery room. I felt no pain when they inserted the drip into my wrist. The last thing I remember before I fell asleep was the warmth of Eunice‘s hands on my ankles. Choi also held my hands the entire time before I blacked out.

Post-op

Day 0
I woke up from surgery super groggy and disoriented. I remember the nurse leading me to a separate room to rest. I was shivering because I felt really cold for some reason, but Choi heated up the bed for me when she came to check on me. She gave me some water half an hour later, and made sure I didn’t feel like throwing up before discharging me from the clinic. She called a taxi for me and told me to come back tomorrow for a check up.

I drank some soup when I got home. I was really nauseated the whole night from the sedation IV. I felt no pain at all, but it was really uncomfortable sleeping upright with your nose stuffed with packings. My mouth was so dry the entire night that I kept waking up every half an hour to an hour to sip some water and try to go back to sleep. You can tell I barely slept.

Day 1
I couldn’t sleep, so I got up super early to eat some yogurt. I did nothing but stay home and watch movies, which is what I did for next few days. I went for a check-up at Uvom. I did their LED deswelling treatment for 30mins. The nurse cleaned the outside of my nose and took off the gauze underneath. Dr. Kang came in for a few seconds to make sure everything was okay. My nose felt really stiff and numb, but that’s very normal. He said I didn’t end up needing ear cartilage for my tip since my septal cartilage was enough. I walked to and back from Uvom. It took about 40mins each way, but I preferred walking since it helps with deswelling. I had appetite for some soup and congee. Still could barely sleep because of how dry my mouth was.

Day 2
I was supposed to get my nose packings removed but because it was a Sunday, the clinic was closed, which meant I had to bare with the pain of sleeping with my nose stuffed for another night!! My face was super swollen by day 2. You could also see bruising under my eyes. I made sure to ice my nose and face as much as I could. I actually had appetite for some noodles, so I cooked with whatever ingredients was in the fridge. My nose became really runny so I had to put a stack of tissues next to my bed. I slept slightly better, because I got more used to breathing through my mouth.

Day 3
Finally, I got my nose packings removed!!!! It felt so weird, like a part of you was being ripped out. I could finally breath!!!! I did the LED treatment again. The nurse cleaned my nose and Dr. Kang came in for a little bit to make sure everything was good. He said I was very swollen and I will be swollen for a while because I have very thick skin. I walked back home, finally being able to breath through my nose. Although, a few hours later, it became harder to breath through my nostrils because of how swollen they got. I washed my hair because I couldn’t stand how oily it was. It took a lot of effort to do it without having water touch my nose. I slept so much better that night.

Day 4
I finally felt energetic enough to walk outside, so another girl and I went for a stroll by Han River. We walked around for close to 2 hours and went to get bingsoo afterwards. People were definitely staring at us in the bingsoo shop when we took off our masks, but none of us cared. I went back to do some work, and cooked some meat and veggies for dinner. Day 4 was the most swollen my face got. I began using their heat packs for deswelling.

Day 5
I went to Uvom for another check up. Did the LED deswelling treatment again. The nurse removed my cast and outside sutures. Because I was slacking on putting the given ointment on my nose stitches, the nurse said my sutures were really dry and it was going to hurt a bit. So make sure you moisturize your stitches with the ointment everyday if you want less painful removals!! Dr. Kang came in to check on my nose. He gave me a mirror and I finally got a glimpse of its form, only except it was super swollen. He touched my nose and said he was going to mold it a bit. It felt like he was making a clay mold of something on my face. He said I have to be patient since everything was very swollen at that moment. I went home, took a shower and washed my face (finally!!). I had some yellow bruising under my eyes still and some by my nose. My nostrils were really uneven and I couldn’t breath through one of them. My nose was tilted from bottom because of how my left nostril was more swollen than my right nostril. Dr. Kang told me it was because I had a slight septum deviation that he fixed during surgery, so one side is more swollen than the other. I didn’t even know I had a slight septum deviation, so I’m glad he was able to realize it during surgery. At that point, I really liked my side profile. I was concerned about the final outcome of my nose, but I didn’t want to think about it until a month later when it actually starts shape itself. There was no point for me to worry, so I just stopped worrying and enjoyed Seoul.

Day 8
I went to Uvom one last time to get the rest of my nose stitches removed. Yes, it was a little painful, definitely hurt a lot more than the outer sutures, but still less than when I got my filler removed. Dr. Kang came in one last time to check up on me. He gave me a deswelling injection shot in my nose. It didn’t hurt at all. He said my nose will completely deswell in a year. I asked him how high my implant ended up being, and he said 4mm. I was really shocked! I remember during my consultation, he said he understood I wanted natural results and it seemed like ~2mm was enough. However, when I looked at my face, it didn’t seem like my nose bridge was too high. I was really worried that my bridge would look too high, because I didn’t want too dramatic dolly noses. But when I look at it now, it doesn’t seem dolly at all. Choi gave me the VAT refund form to submit at the airport. Eunice came to see me off one last time and addressed any other questions I had. They both waved me off as I left the clinic.

I’ll be back with one more update of current progress and final thoughts!

hi Jasmine, do you mind sharing, how the doctor remove the filler from our nose. keen to know bcos im thinking to go for Alarplasty & Tip plasty. But im really scare of pain. Futhermore i will be alone when im going next year. Also i saw you mentioned there a peak period for surgery, can i know is april is peak?? TIA
