  1. Hi Cassie, I still havent received anything back to date. The Refund was processed Nov 4th. When i paid via credit card, they got payment right away and was able to confirm that with me the same day. Its been 21 days since the refund was supposedly processed but I still havent received anything. They could easily be telling me to wait for eventually nothing. Therefore, I dont see how my post is misleading if I havent gotten my money back. If they refund me back, I will definitely update the post and change my title. I wrote this to warn others so if you dont think its helpful, you dont need to read my thread.

  2. Thanks Pakune! They did respond to me and told me that the refund was processed on November 4th. They sent me a screen shot of a confirmation but it's all in Korean so I have no idea what it says. They told me to call my bank to check. I guess all I can do now is wait and be patient. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. Will keep you posted

  3. Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would update you guys on my situation. I was supposed to go to Korea from Nov 10 to 22nd for nose + eyes and had paid a deposit of $493 CAD at Wannabe PS to secure surgery date for November 12th. The payment was through their website via credit card.

So literally 9 days before my flight, I found out I was pregnant, which was totally unexpected. Obviously for the sake of my unborn child, I was going to cancel my trip. I immediately contacted them to let them know that I would not be able to go on my trip. I notified them on November 3rd., which was 9 days before my surgery date. Based on their original terms/conditions that they sent me, I understand that I was only able to get back 90% of my deposit as I had cancelled more than a week before. I was totally okay with this and I was told that my refund has been processed. However, it's been 12 business days and I haven't seen any sort of a refund on my credit card at all. Therefore, I contacted them today via Whatsapp to follow-up. My first message was read but I haven't received a reply so I sent a second message and the second message was delivered but not yet read. It's been an hour already and no response. However, during the consult online, they are usually quick to reply. They were so nice to me the whole time during consult and I can't help but feel so scammed. I'm not sure what else I can do on my end at this point but I thought I would let you PFers know about this and to be careful about who you trust.

I'm still trying to be hopeful at this point that I will get something back but it's looking grim.

  4. Wow thanks for the great review! Wishing you a speedy recovery!!! How many days did you end up staying in Korea?

  5. Hi Kim, how are you recovering post-op? do you have any updates regarding your recovery?

  6. Hey, because I am short on time, most likely I will make a decision, pay a deposit before I go. I want to ensure I have the maximum time to recover before I go back to my own country. If you have the time, probably best to do a few consults and then decide which clinic to go with.

  7. hey bobamilktea! I contacted Nana via their whatsapp. I don't have kakao unfortunately.

  8. Hi!

I got a quote from a clinic and I am also about to pay deposit. However, they were kind enough to notify me this:

    "Surgery Deposit Refund Policy:

    - 3 days prior - 90% deposit refunded
    - 1 day prior, 20% deposit refunded
    - cancellation on the day of surgery - no refund

Above rules are in compliance with the guidelines for consumer resources in Korea and 100% refund is not possible"

    Hope this helps!

  9. Hi Cassie,

Unfortunately, I will be gone when you arrive. I am going for eyes and nose in November. I think it's a good idea that you are going with DocFinder Korea. I previously did zygoma and mandible reduction in 2011. At that time, I had a friend that was living in Korea and I was staying at her place. My friend was with me on the day of surgery and looking back, I was so thankful she went with me to and from the clinic. After waking up from General Anesthia, you are so dizzy and groggy (varies by person) but I was very glad that my friend was with me from getting up after surgery, to hailing a cab for us to go home. This is my 4th time going to Seoul so I am comfortable travelling alone albeit it will be a bit lonely during recovery. All the best to you!

  10. Its good that you are researching early! I looked at Naturalism but its all in Korean so I have no idea what is going on. I didn’t look into Braun either. I think after considering both, I am going to go with Wannabe. Their prices are very reasonable and I really like their b&a photos online. They also offer free deswelling treatments and hair wash service! Good luck with your journey as well

  11. That's so great to hear! I am also booking my DES and Tip plasty with them for November. Good luck with everything!

  12. Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking for a while researching DES and Nose. I previously did zygoma and mandible reduction in 2011 and I could've sworn I posted in here but I cannot remember my username since its been 8 long years haha.

Right now I am looking at DES and tip plasty. I have a natural "in line" crease so I am looking to make it into an outline. I am also looking at tip plasty only (no implant) because I have a very high and straight bridge to start. I just want a slimmer front view. So far I've consulted with Banobagi, Namu, View, Answer, Nana, and Wannabe.

View and Banobagi - I decided not to go with based on reviews here and the big factory clinics. Their quotes were also really expensive

I really liked Answer Plastic Surgery so I inquired but when I emailed them, Seoul Medical Guide emailed me back which is weird because I didn't even go through them to start! The prices that they gave me were way out of my range so it's a no for me.

I originally wanted to go with Namu but after seeing the botched eyebrow lift..that basically scared me away. However, their prices are very reasonable and their consultant Claire was very nice too.

Nana - I've been speaking with Kylie and she is very sweet. I got a few quotes which were a bit higher. They quoted me DES at 1.5mil ~ 2.5 mil (if incisional), tip plasty + alar reduction at 5.5 mil

Wannabe - I have been speaking with Alice, she is also very sweet and kind and we are both from Canada. They quoted me 1.3 mil for Natural adhesion DES, Primary rhino AR + Tip at 3mil KRW and unde reye fat repositioning at 1.4mil, fat injection at 800,000 KRW (not included is the 10% VAT). This seems very reasonable!

Recommendations anyone? I am going to Korea in November from 10th to 22nd !
