I think it’s a better option for me as although I had a chance to chat with Dr. Lee from The face dental directly, some of my questions were left not fully answered and it usually takes some time to receive a reply which I personally find somewhat annoying. Banobagi are always very responsive. They also offered some complimentary services like guest house, pick-up and drop-off which was very nice of them and other places didn’t mention. And Dr. Oh seems to be very experienced. I’ve seen a lot of reviews and pics on his work and really liked them. Also, I think going to a bigger place would be better and safer.

I had a rhinoplasty twice in Korea.I went to over 10 places for consultation, and most of them were surgeries for silicon + own tissues (Nasal septal and auricular cartilages).It is not unusual to use own tissue for primary rhinoplasty.
If you only want to operate on your own tissue, you may need to look for such a hospital.I don't think there are many hospitals that can use dermis.

Silicon is proven safe, but as long as it's an artifact, it's a foreign object to the body.If you are worried about inflammation, I recommend you to have a cosmetic surgery with your own tissue.

For reference, silicon is said to become "calcified" when put into the body for a long time. (image reference)Smoking and drinking should be avoided as much as possible regarding inflammation.

In Korean cosmetic surgery, there are hospitals that use donated cartilage and MESH(PCL), but please avoid it. Donations are more easily absorbed and at higher risk of infection than private tissues. Since the MESH is a new material, there is no security guarantee after 10 years, and there is a possibility that the tip of the nose will deform. The surface of Gore-Tex is very fine and it is difficult to remove because it adheres to tissues.

Is it common for patients to use their own tissue for the primary rhinoplasty? I heard doctors don't usually offer it? (or maybe I heard wrong haha)
