  1. I asked for natural and even natural ended up being slightly joker looking. You lips will appear wider. I didn't mind my top lip becoming slightly wider but the corner lift makes the bottom lip longer too. I think the 'longer' side effect make the lips look less full/plump.
One thing I should warn you about median lip lift is you will get a lot of tooth show, which isn't cute if you have large front teeth. Also a pig nose effect is possible from the median/bullhorn lift.

  2. They were both really nice. Here is the an example of what he drew. red is my lip before, yellow is what he said it would look like after - the lift. 20200119_013415.jpg

What do you plan on getting, corner, lateral, or median lift? i think they really like joker style corner lifts. the girl whose pic I gave as example still looks nothing like what I got. there are few lip pics that I personally thought the before was much better, but like I said standards are different there.

  3. Hi guys, I thought I'd make a post about my experiences. I went for acne scar treatments and a corner lip lift. I also did 'whitening IVs' the health benefits. There's no way you can get lighter from them permanently.

So whitening IVs (glutathione & Cinderella/thiotic acid) only lighten you for a day. The following day I was my normal skin tone. I like glutathione for the detox. However, it's easier to find in Korea but the prices are the same in the US. In the US 3000mg is around $200 whereas the dose for glutathione is 600mg in korea for $50. Cinderella/thiotic acid IVs are usually $40. Also beware scar/mole removal advertised for like $6-20. It's only for raised marks and you have to do multiple spaced sessions.

    Skin clinics I don't recommend:
    • Everskin - (wouldn't give prices and kept trying to do a paid consultation)
    • Renewme - (not sure about IVs but their milk peel is 2x as much as other places, should cost ~$60 they charge like $200)
    • PPEUM - (fair prices, but pushy. They tried to sell me on a the most expensive laser procedure and I kept asking about hyperpigmention issues. They said it wasn't an issue/didn't know what I was talking about. When it came time for the laser the dr. said it wasn't safe for me and they switched to a $200 laser and added $200 worth of bull-**** aftercare ice treatment because they didn't want to refund me. The laser procedure was done in like 5 minutes, I didn't have time to breathe or get a break. In the US they use a fan or ice in between but Koreans don't care and it's very rushed.)
    • Renovo & another R clinic - Robot replies, doesn't comprehend what you're asking for, inflated prices, & spams you for a month even after you said no.
    Skin clinic I recommend:
    • Me Clinic - good prices, wasn't pushy, lots of English staff

    Plastic surgery experience
So I went for ptosis correction & a corner lift. I highly recommend going thru misooda when look for clinics. All the clinic I personally contacted never responded or had inflated prices. Misooda got me the cheapest they could and did all the negotiating. Miu is super nice and responds quickly.
Banobagi - I think they are the best at eyes but when they saw me they said it was too small to correct. Korea specializes in eyelid ptosis but they aren't good at treating ptosis due to underdeveloped bone structure. The staff was super nice and I'm glad they were honest with me. They don't do cash discounts but you can get an 8% tax refund.
    • Partial-Incision Ptosis quote: 3.4mil krw
Hyundai - This a smaller clinic and it was cheaper. They do cash discounts, well it's kinda forced because their credit card prices are ridiculous. They have videos on replay starring foreigners. The staff was ok but I felt that they were nicer to east asians & white people. Long wait times. The english staff member was nice but a total gangnam unnie. She could not stop looking in the mirror randomly and touching up her face.
    • Incisional Ptosis quote: 2.5mil krw (both eyes, one eye is 2mil krw :confused1:)
    • Lateral & corner lift: I paid 2.4mil krw cash (card would be like 6mil krw)

So it was ok, but I feel slightly deceived. The post they put up isn't that discrete and they lightened my skin, erased, my acne scars, and the lip scars. Also the pic the posted is 1 week post op. My lips were slightly swollen, now my lips don't really look that different from before PS and I have visible scars. Someone commented what skin procedures did she do? & they responded DM us. I did not do any skin procedures there, it's all editing on their behalf :annoyed:. They also wrote that it was local anesthesia, took 1 hour, and #lipfillers. I was knocked out with is general/full body anesthesia. It took 2 hours and then I slept for an hour. I also never got fillers. They warned me that my lips would become longer. The opposite happened, my lips struggle to stretch as much when I smile or in general.

Overall, yeah I asked for something natural so technically I'm not botched. My drooling problem is fixed but the purpose of the lateral lift I paid $1000 extra for was to get slightly fuller lips. I don't see that and going back to get it fixed would be more money, time, & scars. The staff kept said 'indo' to each other (indian) but I'm not and that got annoying. Yeah I'm southeast Asian but not indian. They also couldn't find my vein and shoved the needle in my wrist instead of the armbend area. Censorship is an issue too. They think blurring the eyes on a full face photo is discrete. They show you all the personal/uncensored photos of other patients as examples and I'm guessing my pic is out there now too :noworry:.
What I learned is that Korean PS is very cookie cutter. They have very specific beauty standards (small heart lips, joker corners, under eyebags, no cheekbones, eggshaped face, and double eyelids). They don't have the best beside manner and don't really care about discomfort (they thought I could navigate the subway after waking up from anesthesia.. no, I could barely walk).
Cookie cutter examples: Two european patients, 1 guy and 1 girl from different countries, with different faces got PS here and to me they look the same now:

TLDR: I would go back for laser skin treatments. Fraxel is $1000 in the US and $200-600 there, but that's it really. Be ready for rushed treatments and no ****z given about discomfort. Neutral feelings overall.
