  1. it's great from what I've seen so far, and the quotes i got back are fine. I've been in touch with @awokewalty who is post surgery from wannabe and she's pretty happy with results and experience.

  2. @bunnylol that was a really awesome write up and makes me feel a lot more hopeful about wannabe. this place sounds really underrated, but then again I guess many good hidden places are because of all the big globo clinics.

How's everything been so far? If you get a chance to update would appreciate it or can PM you.

  3. Thanks for sharing @chocolove712 that's good to hear. I'm considering wannabe too because the last thing i want is to be rushed. Most of the issues i've been reading about seems to stem from these huge clinics where people are constantly going in out and out. So I'm kind of aiming smaller place.

I seen some youtube videos of Dr Cha, and he seems really jolly and sweet.

I've been thinking about full face fat graft, and also treating dark circles, and maybe nose. Yeah, I heard depending upon the deepness of the fold it can be tricky. BTW did you see this post about wannabe's under eye fat repositioning. It might be a technique that can work for you:

  4. Wow, that looks pretty good and natural. it looks like it might also help with a negative vector also!

BTW, I think you mean Dr Chang at Wannabe PS, Ho is part of his first name. Dr Cheol Ho Chang. I have a sort of sunken tear trough and was seeing most surgeons on RS mention cheek implant. but i think fat repositioning could do the trick just as well.

  5. I'm also reading up and the different types of fat grats: prp, stemcell, etc.. i pinged the clinic on kakao (FYI their ID is eng_wannabeps) which doc can do FG, they said both. but curious to here which one did @crystalhearts had it done by.

@Peacesign are you thinking about dong full face?

  6. i think a basic step 1 is to try chatting with the consultant's and picking their brains.

the web or email responses seem too copy and pasty for my taste, so I found texting, or even calling to be better. That way I can go back and forth and weed out who doesn't know what they're talking about.

i started picking the consultant's brain at wannabe plastic surgery and she seemed fairly knowledgeable and reasonable. if she didn't know something she asked the doc, and i believed she actually did.

Oh! that's another thing, when the clinics are smaller or like have 1 or 2 surgeons it's much easier to get a real answer. some of the bigger places i noticed don't ask or i like pretend like pretend to ask.

anyway, text them that's my tip. download kakao or whatsapp, or dm places on ig. kakao seems to be pretty fast & reliable since it's a like a korean whatsapp. here's wannabe's kakao if u want to give it a test drive to get some basic recommendations http://pf.kakao.com/_xoIEPxl

  7. LOL that clinic name tho (wannabe), classic!

Never heard of this place until now, but I think their name might throw off people who are not familiar with konglish, or hardcore KPOP fans, and self-admitted koreaboos like me.

    Wannabe (워너비, wuh-nuh-bee)

In English, a 'wannabe' is "a person who tries to be like someone else or to fit in with a particular group of people." However, the meaning is totally reversed in Korean. In Korean, a 'wannabe' is someone whom you want to be like.

But here's the thing you gotta watch out. Koreans also use the word 'role model' (롤모델, lol-moh-del). The slight difference between a 'wannabe' and a 'role model' is that a 'wannabe' is someone that you want to be in terms of appearance & style whereas a 'role model' is someone that you want to be in terms of career & inner aspects.

    Examples:
    - "Hyuna is so cute and sexy, she's my wannabe!"
    - "Yoo Jae Suk's personality is admirable. He's my role model."
    - "G-Dragon is a wannabe of many men for his fashion."
