  1. Hi there! I'm interested in getting a rhinoplasty on Korea or in SoCal this spring. I have a decent nose, but my radix is slightly lower than I would like and my nose is a little bulbous (I've attached photos for reference) ~ I'm really set on getting DCF or a rib rhinoplasty, because I'm terrified of foreign materials and the complications that may occur with silicone (skin thinning, protrusion of L-shaped implant, infection) or gore-tex.

    So far, I've looked at

    • Charles E Lee (Beverley Hills); I like his results because they're natural and his prices seem reasonable, especially compared to Dr. Yoo. But I'm not sure if going to Korea is more *worth it*
    • Hanabi
    • GNG
    • VIP
    • View
      • I heard this place was extremely safe; and someone in the KakaoTalk went here for a revision, but not for rib cartilage.
    • Jin Hong Ryul – I think this is a safe choice, but I'm not sure of his expertise cosmetically.
    • MVP
      • This one has been paraded by PurseForm folks (Miss Orange), especially Dr. Seo and Dr. Choi
      • But there was a recent death at MVP a year ago?
    • April13
      • Looks great on their website, but heard it's pricey and the results aren't dramatic enough.
    • Banobagi
      • This place seems super popular, but I haven't seen any autologous rhinoplasties from this place and people say it's "factory-like"

Anyway, please let me know if you have any experience with these clinics or if you've been to one that you believe I should check out!

  2. Hi Yumi! Thanks so much for sharing your rhinoplasty process — if it’s okay, I’d love to chat with you on KakaoTalk!

Which other clinics did you chat with? Also, i’m interesed in Dr. Jin because he is an ENT and performs DCF (unlike a lot of the silicone / ear cartilage combinations out there.) Were there any other clinics that provide DCF with the same caliber? How were his bedside manners?

    thanks 🙂

  3. Hi! I think I have the same reasons as you. I think one of the selling points is that Korean doctors probably have more experience / a more fine tuned aesthetic eye for Asian features. I also figured that it would be a little bit cheaper than the celebrity doctors that exist in the US. I’ve looked at rhinoplasty doctors in the US (Yoo, Lee from Beverley Hills) and I’m actually unsure about the quality of work because of the clever marketing and highly mixed reviews. One thing I’m afraid of for Korea is the absolute horror stories of implants moving out of place, etc.

  4. Hello!! I’m gleaming, a 21 year old student in the Bay Area. I’m interested in a primary rhinoplasty with DCF ~ I’m really sketched out by silicone implant horror stories. I’m sure everyone here has more experience and knowledge than I do, so I look forward to learning from you all! Silver lining is that I’m going to buy my mom a ticket for a vacation in Korea and Japan after my graduation (which will probably be when I visit clinics too)
